I waited about 5 min and in that time another customer walked in. Instead of coming back to the juice bar the employee on the phone hangs up and helped the customer who had just walked in. WTH!! I thought about continuing to wait but it really bugged me that I was passed over. As I was walking out I heard a " ma'am I'll be right with you." Yeah, right. Unless someone else walks in. Not the first time I've been to this store. They are usually very short almost rude and not at all friendly. I will not be returning almost rude and then passing me over is enough for me.

After she hands it to me, and as i'm waiting for the check out not three feet away is when it happened. What is racial profiling you ask? It's when the only caucasian female employee strategically positions herself down the isle of the checkout and pretends to make adjustments of the products on the shelf. AND when you look up she is not looking at what she is doing, she's looking at you; then looks away quickly. AND when you reach the cashier, all of the sudden the products on the shelf no longer need straightening, even though it looks like a tornado went through the isle. THAT IS PROFILING! Pitiful. Sunrise, i'm happy you employ African Americans, sad you don't like to serve African Americans. I wont be back.

We were as patient as we could be in the beginning because we assumed she was new until we noticed that there was a mistake with the transaction. We asked for our money back and she told us to "be patient" and continued to be impatient with us. She sounded like she was on the verge of tears and her coworker was no help at all. All of this over a coupon, an argument and not even a correct transaction. We asked for the original receipt in case the money wasn't refunded to my card, but she refused and we were told to come back if it wasn't refunded and that she will remember us and that she works 7 days a week. See, this is where my daughter swims for Illinois state swim competitions (high five if anyone else has a swimmer kid on a Michael Phelps diet), but I digress. There's certainly some humor of "but it's not in Illinois". But that's not why we come here. That's not why it gets real in the whole foods parking lot. Anyway, this a great location, everyone is helpful, and notably there is (of course as matters to me) a decent salad bar and a good amount of vegan options. Otherwise, I would not be coming. One thing of note though that I have needed many times is caffeine. They have a cold brew concentrate that uses a teaspoon or so for a cup of coffee! So read those words carefully: concentrate. That means, don't drink that whole bottle or you'll die, yo. That would be like a Futurama fry 100 cups of coffee moment. Or a Panera lemonade moment. There are some fun food options not at whole foods but in this area, and the pizza place nearby is also pretty epic. But you can't go wrong with whole foods, generally.

I only come here when I need things that my first choice grocery stores don't have. The ambience here is nicely organized. The service of this location is not good ever. They are very mean here from Amazon to the regular Whole Foods workers everyone has an attitude. Very rare you will have a worker that is willing to help you at this location.

Yes, beautiful fresh meats behind the counter but so much more. Frozen dinners, frozen soups, all kinds of quicky dinner mains. Sides of all kinds, along with a full complement of deli meats, salads of all kinds and description, sausages, stuffed meats. From the eye-popping displays to the variety, it's hard to make a decision knowing this could add up like a trip to Costco. The prices--nice--affordable. The staff behind the fresh meat counter are very accommodating with portions. I'm shopping for two, not an army. The meats we've tried so far have been very good, tasty, fresh, and I have more confidence in getting meat that is actually healthy and not a product full of chemicals or close to spoilage. Still, the chicken thighs we got recently were rather oddly cut; the only quibble I've had so far. I have many more choices to try--and I plan to.
