Erewhon's advantage here is that they can get produce from small, local farms. Read the label, but outside of that, avoid the produce. Their tonic bar is ahead of the game. Most smoothies are sugar bombs disguised through "healthy" ingredients, but if you can read through them like Peyton Manning at the line, you can find one's worth ordering. The cafe is 80% hit and 20% miss. From the taquitos to the buffalo cauliflower...they pack a punch. But then you get the chicken pot pie, and you'll learn to appreciate the frozen ones. When it comes to grocery items, they are always a step ahead. Whether you want Jose Andres potato chips or chicken noodle soup the way abuelita makes it, they've got you covered. Really, Erewhon is a store with value if you have the eye to spot it. If you want to hate on it because influencers love to post "and we're at the most expensive grocery store in the world," or you choose to love it because you feel special for being able to afford it, you're wrong either way. I do want to compliment Drew, the best of the managers because he goes beyond to address any issues. Luke in dairy is the best and is the only one that goes out of his way to give you new deliveries and stock the shelves. But when he is gone, his replacement had a bad attitude and gave me old milk and kefir. Braydon was the nicest. He offered to look in the back for deliveries and take a message for Luke. Shannon was nice too.

I bought some organic spices and pork chorizo. The spices were about $1-2 more than organic herbs and spices sold on regular grocery stores. The produce looked really nice. The Romaine lettuce was big, leafy and fresh looking for $3.99; the same price I paid for non-organic and subpar product at Red Barn Market that is close to me.
