What went well? I'm pretty big on customer service. If a business gets that right, I can forgive about anything else. Leaf dispensary employs a lot of very friendly, seemingly happy people. I love that. From the people in the front of house welcoming you when you walk in, to the security guard offering you a "have a great day" on your way out, they have a knack for hiring. I say that even tho they do seem to have ALOT of employees, regardless every interaction I've had with the people working there has been nothing but positive. The selection is good as far as I can tell. I'm no weed savant. I have been getting into Dime products and I hope they stock a larger selection of cartridges. And I guess the only complaint I can come up with is this...there is a beautiful piece of blown glass on display in the shop. It's cream and brown colors and those are my favorite colors. Every time I go in I wink and ask if I can buy it yet and they won't let me. And I can never remember to take my phone into the store to take a pic of the brand. So I guess that's a good complaint to have right? That they have a beautiful piece of glass that I covet? It could be worse. They could be rude with an overpriced selection like some other dispensaries in this area. read more

I started coming here when it first opened and you had to have a rec card to get in. Luckily now, it's medical and recreational! I have struggled with chronic pain for years and when it's really bad, I can't keep food down. The staff here are so knowledgeable and friendly.. Vinny helped me pick out new products that I've never tried before, which is always scary at a dispensary bc ur afraid they're just trying to upsell you - but NOT HERE! Each product Vinny recommended for me was perfect and did the job. They know each term profile and if they've never tried a product - they're HONEST and grab another employee for their opinion. I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of here - I feel like these people care about me and my health. The owner is the sweetest woman, even the security guard is friendly and welcoming. First time buying cannabis product and very pleasantly surprised. I had 2 family members swear by a relief cream (Papa&Barkley 1:3) so had to buy some to see for myself. All staff - from guy in hoodie in reception to several folks at counter sales - amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Another guy at a desk in the corner of the lobby (probably security) wished me a nice day. Staff were open to any of my dumb questions. lol. They offered recommendations (while cautioning that different people can have different responses). Free, easy, parking (went on a Saturday). Dispensary store is laid out so products are well displayed and lighted. Nice and spacious. Candy dish on the way out (Dots!). Unfortunately this company does not stand behind the products they sell. We bought two bags of a Dixie Synergy Sleepberry Gummies. They charge $22 per bag for these and they are sold most other places for $15 per bag. We live locally and choose to support local businesses so we were willing to pay more. The first bag was fine. When we opened the second bag the gummies were all melted together and not usable. BTW, they were not left in the sun or in heat. The second bag was with the first bag the entire time. Essentially a faulty product. We figured, no problem, lets exchange it or get a refund. They absolutely REFUSED. They offered a 10% discount ($2.20) for a product we paid $7 more per bag for. We do support local businesses but these guys are on the naughty list. Be careful what you buy there, but I would not recommend shopping with any company that does not stand behind the products they sell. Caveat emptor. read more

I am pleased this decent dispensary is in Newbury Park / Thousand Oaks. It's convenient and local which is great. Yet they are overpriced compared to most LA dispensaries. I guess they don't mind price gouging their customers due to lack of competition in the area. I could have easily gotten an extra 1/8 but for their super aggressive up charging practices. I also suspect their cash operation is ripping off the government when they report earnings. Unless I'm in a pitch, I won't be back. So the reality is you actually don't close at 9 o'clock for all the folks that are driving out your way and wasting their time they close at 8:40. And they really enjoy telling you that they're closed when it clearly states on the door that it closes at nine look if you guys want to wind down you Gotta make a little time for that or at least change your hours. Staff and front desk receptionists are always kind, friendly, and eager to help you out. All items include tax, which makes the process of checking out very seamless. If you look closely, there are cute trinkets such as keychains and stickers in front of displays facing the walls of the store. Overpriced!! Only accept cash!! Extra charges and rude staff!! You're not allowed within six feet of the products in the store. I spent $74 on one disposable pen and two pre rolls. The pen stopped working and wouldn't charge after the first day. The prerolls were pure shake. SFV dispos give you double what you pay for and their products aren't behind glass displays like a museum. Take the drive to any dispo in the valley, it's worth it!!
