I came to this location to grab an energy drink before my workout, which was the whole purpose of my visit. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted. No big deal since I was only there for a drink. I grabbed one from the cooler and walked up to the register. While I was checking out, I noticed another fridge to the right of the register that had the drink I actually wanted. I told the employee, a lady with red hair, that I wanted to swap it out and that I would put the other drink back on my way out. I don't think she heard me or was really paying attention because she was watching TV on her phone while ringing me up. After I paid, she told me to put the drink back, even though I had already said I would. At that point, I was getting annoyed by the lack of customer service. On my way out, I opened the fridge and put the drink back. As I started walking outside, I heard her yell that I had left the fridge open. I went back inside and pushed the door shut. I guess it closed a little hard because she immediately told me I didn't need to be so rude and then told me to never come back. Keep in mind she was yelling at me at this point. The whole situation was unnecessary and could have been avoided if she had simply swapped the drink for me like most stores would. Instead, she was more focused on watching TV than helping customers. Don't tell me to do your job when I had already offered to put the drink back in the first place. read more

Lady with red hair is incredibly rude. I don't have an issue with anyone else as everyone else is extremely helpful and pleasantly nice. However, her terrible attitude has me actively wanting to avoid this place at all cost simply to avoid interacting with her and her rude behavior. If I could give no stars I would. Walked into this location on 08/13 around noon only to not be greeted (which is not usually a problem). When I asked the cashier a simple yes/no question, she looked at me, only to return flipping the channels on the tv and scrolling through her phone. First time visitor to this store. I was about to run out of protein at home and headed to Costco to purchase my regular 4 lb bag of protein until I stumbled upon this store on the way to the freeway Parking can be a bit challenging as there is a LA Fitness gym adjacent to this store and most spots are taken by people visiting the gym. That was the ONY negative. Now the good stuff: The store was fully stocked with so many health related products and well organized As soon I stepped inside, I was greeted with a, "welcome" though the gentleman behind the counter was assisting another customer. After a minute or two of looking around, this store employee who I would discover later, is the owner (I am TRULY sorry that I forgot your name. I believe it was Danny or Andrew?) asked me if I had any questions about any of the products which I did and glad he asked me I explained that I was on my own weight loss journey and simply need a good protein intake while on my quest to drop the lbs for good. After answering a few questions I was asked, I was directed to a huge canister/tub of chocolate or vanilla flavored protein. I was explained the benefits of porting and specifically the protein I was about to purchase which I truly appreciated. I love chocolate and I also prefer a round container as opposed to what they offer at Costco. The transaction went very smooth, I leaned a few things about protein and there was no attempt to try to upsell me to purchase other products. They truly care about finding you the right supplements based on your goals and needs. They offer free in body which allows you to track your weight and body fat. Along with creating meal plans for you. They also offer free samples to test out any products prior to making a purchase to make sure the flavor is right for you. And they sell preworkout and protein by the scoop! My top favorite products: 1. I love MERK blue razz, the flavor is amazing! Went in a few days ago, there were 2 workers and I wasn't acknowledged until being there for a for minutes, ending up buying pre workout& creatine, (wasn't informed about the ongoing special my purchase actually applied for) and when I went to use the pre workout the following day it smelled and was rock hard, I checked the expiration and it actually expired 2 years ago. I was running low on supplements and randomly decided to try to find a store instead of ordering online. I'm so glad that they just opened Nutrishop in the Monterey Park area. This place has been around for less than a year so I will be forgiving to the fact that they do not have a huge selection or flavor of supplements. Granted, however they do have a few choices of everything you would need. Few flavors of protein powder, few pre-workouts, few bars, etc. The people here are really friendly and helpful. If you check-in, you'll receive 10% off your first purchase (excluding bars)!! Pricing is average, only slightly above how much you would pay on BB, but it evens out because of shipping. I would definitely come back in the future to check out how their stock will improve! Hopefully they will have more Quest Bar flavors besides Banana Nut Muffin, Apple Pie, and Vanilla Almond Crunch. read more

The guy working was super friendly and helpful. This is my first time buying protein powder. Ever. So I was total noob status, but he was more than happy to help answer all my incessant questions (yes even the ones like, "How much is this one? How much is that one?"). I walked out with Pro7ein Cookies and Cream flavor, and never looked back! I was really hesitant bc I tried my bf's Chocolate flavored Muscle Milk before and thought, blagghhh I hate it. You can see him in the photo collection. Dude is big and tall & has competed in bodybuilding before. He is very knowledgeable in supplements concerning bodybuilding. I also heard that he is a gamer but sadly I didn't engage in game discussion. I asked about preworkout/postworkout supplements and obtained samples for someone. I am currently not taking anything due to fear of allergic reactions (& poverty lol) and because my BUN & uric acid levels will probably shoot up; but I can probably use some glutamine. Mr. Andrew told me about: -preworkout energy and/or performance: N-sane, Forzaone NOXP3 & Forzaone's BCAA Sport, Katalyst's Vasocor -post workout: Katalyst's Glutacor (L-glutamine) & protein powder I was told N-sane has 300mg of caffeine. NOXP3 has 100mg. For reference, a cup (8oz) of coffee, depending on brew/instantized, may have 70-140mg give/take 20mg. If you have sleeping problems, it is advised to not take so much or at all depending on the severity of your problem. Same goes if you workout in the evening/night. Vasocor- not sure how much caffeine. These have some combination of amino acids as well. I think these cause vasodilation of blood vessels=increased blood flow=more exchange of nutrients/wastes to muscles and organs. Andrew told me that glutacor should be taken postworkout, dumped in with protein powder and before sleeping. Glutamine is an amino acid, with functions of protein synthesis, cellular energy, nitrogen/carbon donation. It may increase human growth hormone (HGH) levels. Some other products that I remember from store: ON standard whey isolate, available in 5 & 10lbs, ON serious mass, ON pro-complex, Dymatize Elite whey isolate (in 5lbs?), Cytosport Musclemilk, Isopure (protein powder?), ABB speedstack drinks, Hemovex, some Forzaone protein powder. Don't really know about half of these products in depth. I did not look at pill supplements. There are more products than the ones listed. I don't think they carry BSN and Gaspari Nutrition. Not sure on the availability of casein products in there. I didn't ask nor did I notice any. If you're into bodybuilding or have any questions regarding it, then you might want to talk to Andrew. I got samples of vasocor, NOXP3, & BCAA sport from Ronnie! :) They were straight from the bottles and not prepackaged. Sometimes I think manufacturers make their samples extra better to lure you in; although I have not researched on this. read more

I've been on the hunt for healthy protein bars to get me through a busy afternoon and found out Quest bars are top notch. I looked up nutrition shops in the area and decided to stop by. Turns out they had Quest bars so I bought one of each flavor! The staff person that helped me was super friendly and helpful. The bars were about $3 each but cheaper if you buy the box. Since I wanted to try the flavors I only bought them individually. They also gave me 10% for Yelp check in. There's no pressure to buy anything. No seriously. Zero pressure! I've gotten a few things here so allow me to update some info I know based on my own personal use. **Thermovex** LOVE IT! I've gotten Cherry Orange (my favorite!) and Watermelon. I mix it up and put it in the fridge to get super cold. It gives me a good boost and makes me sweat like you would not believe! And there's no crash feeling when you're finished working out, nor does it "wear off." **StanceBCAA's** Tastes yummy! The new flavor is Blue Raspberry and it tastes like a Slurpee/Icee. Great! Pink Lemoade is good, but I like it best when it's semi-frozen. **StanceLithotropic** This helps with cardio and there is zero caffeine in it. I mix it with my Cherry Orange Thermovex for those cardio days and I don't know what exactly it does, but I get my good push and get things done... so that makes me happy! **Thermonade** This is kinda meh. I don't get as big of a boost with it as I do with Thermovex, but that's because there's not as much caffeine. I got the Watermelon Cucumber and it was meh. I am not a fan of it and because of that I will totally stick to Thermovex. So after my story, the bottom line is that this place rocks! read more
