This place is huge! There are two different entrances. The side door which bring you downstairs and the front which I believes leads to their party room up stairs. I can't comment on what it looks like upstairs because i didn't have a chance to look at it due to someone actually using the space for a party. If your not a member, you need to pick up the telephone in the downstairs entrance for the bartender to buzz you right in. I had to go in and out a few times and I must say, the bartender was very attentive when it came to letting people into the room. Downstairs has a full service round bar. Cold draft beer with chilled beer glasses, inexpensive drinks, two dart boards, and a ton of tables to sit at as well. Oh and if someone buys you a drink you get a chip that says "good for one free drink" as opposed to the upside down shot glass. Kinda cute. They also have in house lottery tickets that are a dollar each. Found that to be pretty cool as well.

The old stone church/performance center holds a variety of music events. Lat nights performance with Steve Earle (recently inducted into the Grand Ole Opry) celebrating his 50 year career with Storyteller format. Opening was Zandi Holup an emerging artist with a bright future. The volunteers go out of their way to make the patrons feel comfortable always a pleasure to chat with. I look forward to a return visit.

What more can I say about this American Red Cross. I have visited here very infrequently over my…read more15-plus years living in this area. I typically go to drop off clothes and shoes in their bed for donations. I have had occasion to go inside and interact with the staff. A few years ago I went inside to inquire about first aid training. It just so happens the guy asked me was I teach him. I thought he was psychic can I said yes. But he told me the reason he asked is because they give a discount to teachers. At the time I think it was $15 total price. Don't quote me on it. Other than that is long-standing always serves the community and I'm glad to see that it has been a Mainstay after all of my years in this area.
