She is always there with a big hello and smile. I had the pleasure to speak with Jordan, Tonya and Ina (was the young lady who got me ready for the MRI and did the procedure. The entire procedure takes about 1hr. but the actual donation takes 15 minutes. A whole blood donation is used primarily for trauma patients and those undergoing surgery. In the past I have donated platelets (cancer, blood disorder. open heart & transplant surgery patients), plasma ( used by serious burn & those with blood clotting issues) and power red (sickle cell, anemia, trauma and surgery patients. I was alerted to a severe blood shortage by email. To donate blood go to Vitalant's online site to find a Vitalant near you and schedule an appointment. I have an account set up with Vatalant and receive points toward reward cards. You begin the process by checking-in at the front desk. Your are handed a tablet with a touch screen to answer a series of questions. Step two involves having your answers checked and your vitals checked. Step three is the actual drawing of blood or blood parts. The staff is well trained with protocols which assure that your donation is correct and excuted properly. While donating you are constantly monitored to ensure your comfort and safety. They are very experienced at inserting the needle efficiently and painlessly as possible. After donating they have a snack bar set up and suggest you have a snack and drink before leaving.

Once I donated, I never received any email or app notification, but since then I receive at least 3-4 calls a week soliciting for blood or plasma and they come from all different phone numbers in the tri state area and can't be blocked. Seems like false advertising for the rewards and although I have called and sent 3 emails since then, and its been weeks, still no response, call or a gift card of any sort. I would hope if there was an issue with the app or their database, they'd at least let me know. At least the Blood Center of NJ provided what they offered.

They're not compassionate of caring, staff are not trained to handle patients.

I recently had to have my first procedure EVER and I was scared out of my mind, but between the doctors and their staff, I felt very comfortable and at ease. The joy on their faces was absolutely priceless and made the entire experience incredibly rewarding. You sign up on their website, watch a video then choose what you want to volunteer for. Once you commit, they'll send you an email the day before reminding you to show up. Nice thing is that once you sign up and volunteer, you can track your hours and events easily. I have no idea why anyone wants to volunteer, or needs to, but these guys cover Jersey, so at least you have a nice breadth of different activities you want to volunteer for. For instance I'm a computer geek, so planting trees all over the place would probably leave me with one foot in the ground! Sure the air will be cleaner, but i'll be mulch! However, I was able to find an activity that let me use my Nerdly talents instead.

When I started my search for doctor options again this year, I found out about Dr. Joshi via Lapiplasty.com. After some clicking around on his office's page, I found out he took my insurance. I had known about the procedure for a long time and thought he would be a great option for my care. I was proven right. His office staff was great, very polite and professional. While the office does sell orthotics, no one even tried to push them as an option. Their goal really is to help fix the root problem, not put a "bandaid" on it so a patient has to keep coming back. When we sat down, he realized I had existing knowledge of the procedure, aftercare, etc., and agreed it was the best option for me. He ultimate goal when it comes to patients is to fix the problem, not use temporary "fixes." He was great; answered my questions (even the silly ones), he didn't rush the appointment in any way, refused to brush off any topic, and explained every step of the process before surgery. He really is a high-quality doctor, and makes it clear his goal is to help and work as a team with his patients. I am so excited to move forward in the process of fixing my foot with him. My only issue was getting to the office. The GPS kept saying "Take the next right." Normally this is onto a street. However, this time it meant into the office parking lot. Keep this in mind when you visit and leave your starting point a few minutes early.

I called this clinic today and gave my insurance including the insurance ID # so they can check. They said they could "fit me in" today. Five hours later, I arrive at the clinic and they said they do not take my insurance. So that's wasted babysitter, time and resources when they had the time to check my insurance. They also could not even give me the courtesy to call me ahead of time for this? Totally irresponsible clinic, they told me then that the out of pocket cost for the consult is $600. How does that sound to me? BAIT and SWITCH.
