One month later, my engine is overheating and the heat isn't working. I tow the car on Thursday but they dragged their feet to diagnose the issue. On Saturday, they said they wouldn't be able to look at it until Monday. Then they told my dad they found $350 more work to be done, not related to the ABS or the water pump. This shop overbooks and acts more like a parking lot than a repair shop. There is no urgency and they're untrustworthy when it comes to honoring warranties. I got the car towed to another shop who only took 1 day to see the water pump was improperly installed, a bolt was broken and the thermometer wasn't properly sealed, leaving me with zero coolant. DO NOT PATRON THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Unfortunately, my vehicle broke down on Sunday evening on Caroline Street. I called Old Town Auto Repair on Monday morning, and Mike quickly arranged for my vehicle to be towed to the shop before 11:00 AM to avoid a parking ticket. Not only was the situation handled promptly, but the repair itself was reasonably priced for the new starter that was needed. This was my first experience with the business, which is under new management, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received. Highly recommend!

THIS REVIEW IS FOR MY MODIFIED/PERFORMANCE CAR PEOPLE ONLY!!…read more For the past year or so I've struggled to find a good alignment shop around my local area in Fredericksburg, I always have to travel about an hour away for my drift car because I request for a fully custom alignment that suits my needs for the track. I've heard good things about this location for months from other low car folks for tire replacement, but I saw they have an in-ground alignment rack and figured I'd give them a try. Note: I was a walk in customer, I never reached out over the phone if they did appointments or if they were available/slow right now so it's partially my fault. Well unfortunately because of how busy the place gets my custom alignment became a 3 day long ordeal, I had to come back 3 different times due to minor errors, misunderstandings, and a slammed shop. I perfectly understand from a business perspective to keep things moving (time is money!) because of my car and specific requests to camber/caster/ toe values (all well off stock spec numbers) it made the alignment machine act a little funky and the technician had to repeatedly bring the car down, reset the machine, calibrate, and raise car for every single adjustment made just creating a back up for other people just trying to get a simple alignment. The technicians, front desk, and the manager were all really friendly and helpful people. whenever I wasn't pleased with something, they went out of their way to make things right with me when they could of easily just told me to kick rocks after day 1. I did come back later to get 6 tires replaced, they were quick and caused no scratches to my expensive real wheels. Overall, I probably won't be bringing back my drift car for my niche alignment mainly because their time is limited (maybe if they were a clamer/ less busy shop I would) I'll bring in my street/track car for alignment in the future which is definitely less of a headache to align. Definitely a fantastic tire shop though, I'll be bringing my nice sets of wheels here in the future. They price themselves competitively to many shops in the Fredericksburg/spotsy area, they aren't the cheapest but the value u get from them for the price is great. Thanks again Said (Manager), Brian (Technician), and Monica (front desk) for the help and sorry for the headaches.

I live around the corner and didn't drive my car again until Monday. Tire pressure light came on (TPMS). Acura sends a vehicle health report each month, now the report indicates an issue with the TIre pressure sensore. It's either needs to be replaced or 1 needs adjusted. Tuesday went in for them to reset the light. They didn't have a TPMS reset device for 1 & did another reset which didn't work. Was told it will go our once it's driven. We'll didn't happen. Called back and was told my car doesn't have a sense. REALLY DUDE! So my husband took the vehicle back and showed them the report. They were trying to charge us to correct something they messed up and didn't have knowledge about. Plus they lied saying they check my tires and filled to factory recommendations. They forgot I can see on my phone Mt tire pressure among other things. Just flat out lied to us. I DO JOT RECOMMEND GETTING YOUR TIRES FROM THEM. It's a shame because Lola was great in assisting me but she lost 2 customers because of their poor service and just out right lie to us about what they've done.

Overall: 15/10 An honest and professional shop that has…read moreearned my lifelong business. Service: 10/10 My primary contact was Mike, however I spoke with many other staff in person and over the phone over the course of a week after I had my Crosstrek towed in with a destroyed transmission system. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and responsive. The new transmission they procured was practically brand new and installed professionally. The experience they provided me as a customer was as excellent as the final bill and they are now my go-to shop for transmission and suspension work. Thus, I strongly recommend this business. When I had my car towed in, it was after hours, but conveniently they had an overnight key/car drop off system that was secure and easy. The lobby was clean, organized, and offered free cold water.

Had my vehicle being serviced at local mechanic and they notified me that the PTU (Power Transfer…read moreUnit) that is part of transmission on all-wheel drive vehicles was leaking badly and needed to be replaced. They did not work on transmissions and advised me to take it to a transmission repair shop. Called the Ford dealership and they told me to replace it would run around $3300. For comparison I called some transmission shops and got ahold of County Transmissions and spoke with Hampton. He told me that it would run $2300 including labor if it needed to be replaced. They had good reviews so I decided to take it to them and save the $1000. Took it there on a Monday and Hampton told me they would have it done in several days. By Friday had not heard from anyone so I called them and was told that it was next in line to be looked at which would be the following Monday. My vehicle had been there five days and had not been looked at. On the following Monday, Hampton called me and said that it did need to be replaced and to replace it would run $3200. This was $1000 more than $2300 as he had initially told me and about the same as what the dealership would charge. Mentioned this to him and he said that the $2300 was for a used PTU that they would get from a salvaged vehicle, and a new one was $3200. He had not told me this when I first called and I had of course assumed the initial quote of $2300 was for a new one. Didn't even know they would consider putting a used one a vehicle because how would you know it didn't have issues. In light of this new information and for the fact I feel it was a bait-and-switch, I decided to take my vehicle to the Ford dealership and have them do the repair. The dealership's warranty on the PTU was much better and I know am getting a genuine Ford part. With an independent shop am probably getting a cheap aftermarket part. If I moved to another city or say was traveling and had an issue with it, I could take my vehicle to any Ford dealership and they would honor the warranty. If County Transmissions had done the work, then I was out of luck. Had to take an Uber back to County Transmissions and pick-up my vehicle and then take it to the Ford dealership. This costs another $50 on top of the $50 Uber charge had already incurred when I took my vehicle there and had to take an Uber to get back home as I live far from them. I opened up my SmartTag GPS tracking app as had placed an Android SmartTag GPS tracking device inside the vehicle awhile back. Was very surprised to see my vehicle had been driven around Vienna and appeared they were using it to run errands as it was stopping at various locations. So in the end I was out $100 in Uber fees, they had my vehicle for a week and nothing was done after Hampton telling me they would get to it in several days, plus they apparently used it to run errands. I would certainly not recommend this company in light of everything that happened. Note: Saw that Hampton had posted a rebuttal on my initial review where he states that the initial quote was an estimate to repair the PTU, but this is not true. The PTU is something that is replaced, not repaired, and he gave me a quote of $2300 to REPLACE the PTU. Plus they didn't need to be driving it around to determine where the leak was coming from since it was obviously leaking when I took it in and it had to be replaced. When I called him on Friday he said they hadn't looked at it yet; however they had been driving it around before that Friday. He mentions that they have a shuttle service and I asked about this but was told it didn't go to where I live.
