Absolutely breathtaking. This show blew all of my expectations out of the water. The ambiance is perfect, the entire staff is incredibly friendly and the performances-- damn. I am so happy I went. I can't recommend this show enough. I got a Groupon and sat in row D, which felt very close to the stage. The tickets I bought included a champagne upgrade and that was a good choice. The upgrade includes a cocktail that comes with a small bottle of champagne, so about 2.5 glasses. They have 2 intermissions. The show is a little under 2 hours. It starts a few minutes after 8 pm. The performers are insanely talented. I'm pretty sure I sat there with my mouth gaping open for half of the time. I am definitely coming back and going to see their other show. read more

Nutcracker Rouge - Performing Arts Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

This is the coolest, most amazing Christmas show! I have seen it 4 years in a row and loved it every time. It is a full immersive experience, from the minute you walk in till the minute you leave. It is a burlesque style Nutcracker show, with lots of different styles of dance and cirque acts. The performers seat you and are the bartenders. The drinks are expensive, but served almost speakeasy style in small glasses. It really is unlike anything else! I do think the biggest bang for your buck is splitting a bottle of wine, since the cocktails are between 18-30. The show itself is just incredible! I look forward to coming back year after year. It is such a unique holiday show and the creativity in each number is astounding. Definitely a must see for New Yorkers and tourists! NOTE: You have to be 21+ and they card at the door. read more

Nutcracker Rouge - Performing Arts Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Truly one of the best, if not THE best performance show I've been to. From the moment you walk in, you are transformed into an alternate universe. Romance, risqué, mystery and surprise all in one. The drinks are pricey but FANTASTIC - particularly the peppermint one - A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We also got the absinth one which was super unique and my husband and I split. The show is about 2.5 hours with 2 intermissions but it goes by super fast. The performance is incredible and the dancers are unbelievably talented - and flexible. It always kept you on your toes wondering in curiosity what was next, while never wanting it to end. The perfect sensual date night around the holidays. Definitely want this to be an annual tradition! read more

Nutcracker Rouge - Tickets & Drink - Performing Arts Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I have to say, Nutcracker Rouge is unlike anything I've ever seen before -- and I mean this is the best way possible. From the welcome greeting outside to being seated to the interactive performance, everything about this avant-garde take on the holiday classic was brilliant. I love how our greeters and the people who took us to our seat were all performers in the show. It made it so personable. The show, itself, was dynamic and the narrator sang the hell out of everything while wearing some of the most uncomfortable looking outfits (lol). So kudos to him. There was something for everyone. Tap dancing, ballet, singing, and even air acrobatics. If you can, I highly recommend this show. I cannot wait to return next year. read more

Nutcracker Rouge - What an experience. - Performing Arts Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I went to this show back in January and still can't stop thinking about it! I want to go to all of their shows so badly! Their stage presence is incredible and unforgettable!! The costumes are unreal and of course, so is the talenttt! Please, how am I, a commoner, allowed to breathe the same air as these performers haha it doesn't make sense!! No, but seriously, you won't regret going. I also loved the ambiance and the drinks. I bought standing tickets and I would stand for another 2 hours if the show kept going. The drink menu is pricey but it's to be expected and it's fun and worth it. The bartenders are also performers so loved seeing their costumes up close when getting drinks. Highly recommend and I'm taking all my friends to see their shows haha read more

Every time I see this show it gets better! To be honest as a child my family took me to the nut cracker on broadway numerous times but I will never ever remember it the same! This seasonal raunchy, non gender bias, LGBTQIA+, silky smooth, holiday ball of fun is everything and more. This was my first of many gifts for my bday and I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate.. Strong drinks, great seats, and a Williamsburg atmosphere. Love love love love and I'll see the show again next year!!! If you're reading this review to see if you should see this show, stop now and buy tix before they sell out! read more

My wife and I attended this show at Theater XIV on a Sunday afternoon. We sat in chairs in the 3rd row. Perfect spot. It's funny, it doesn't look like much from the outside of the building. But once inside, wow. It was a truly top shelf experience. It's close to a subway stop. The performers were incredible. Attractive and talented. The show reminded a bit of Absinthe in Las Vegas. A show that we loved when there. Only this one is better. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. We spent 5 nights in NYC and this was the highlight. You can take pics but I felt weird doing that so I don't have any to post. read more

Wow. What a fun and unique experience! Such fantastic talent, and we enjoyed the cocktails. Personally, I would see this over any show on Broadway. Make sure to dress up! Lots of people had on gloves and there were even a few masquerade masks! read more

I am a concierge in the Manhattan. This show is worth the trip to Brooklyn. The show is spectacular. The visuals, the singing, the venue , the diversity of color, shapes, sizes and sexualities, the dancing, the aerial work. It has EVERYTHING!! Now let's talk about the service. The service was so intimate and detailed from the moment you walked in the door. As someone who works in service I very much appreciated this. This is my first time seeing a Company XIV production and I am hooked. You can feel all of the love, care and attention to detail Company XIV put into this show. The ticket is worth every penny. I can't wait to see what they do next year. SEE THIS SHOW!!! You will not regret it. read more

My wife and I are SarahFunky groupies, so when her YouTube video recommended this show while visiting NYC, we had to check it out. While we were expecting more of a traditional burlesque show like we have seen at Duane Park, this had more of a theatrical twist to it and less nudity. It reminded me a lot of the Las Vegas Show, Zumanity. So it's Zumanity and the Nutcracker blended with lots of sexy rhinestone costumes that my wife has threatened to purchase for me for Christmas. Really the only nudity is some butt cheeks, and honestly I have seen more on the beaches of Florida. Just expect these butt checks to be in better shape and less lumpy. The costumes, performances and singing was as good or better as any high price Las Vegas show. The acrobatic performances and dance routines were equally as good. The MC is very good, and I recognize his performance from being the MC at Duane Park. Drinks at the bar were fabulously good, so good I can only remember parts of the third act. The show has three intermissions and the theater is very comfortable. I think there maybe more men performers than female, but it was a fun time and well worth the price of admission. I am just glad they didn't have any of those rhinestone outfits for sale for my wife to purchase on the way out. It will certainly be a version of the nutcracker that I will never ever forget. At the very best it reminded me why I need to cut back on the peanut M&M's. We had a very good five star time and I am certain you will also! read more

Went last night. Amazing show even better than last year if that's possible, going to make it our annual tradition, the cast was incredible and so much fun. Definitely worth it. read more

This show was stunning and one of the best shows I have ever seen. The talent was beyond amazing. I expected ballet but got so much more of a full sensory spectacle including circus, acrobatics, burlesque, uniquely beautiful voices and pure entertainment. The venue was gorgeous and transported us to a cabaret with moody lighting, sparkling chandeliers, innovative drinks, and satin sofas. It felt like the performers were having the time of their lives which was so beautiful to watch and be in the presence of. Bravo to the entire ensemble and choreographers for creating a memorable experience I will never forget. read more

This show was amazing! I would definitely go again. It was fun, breathtaking, sexy, talent and more all wrapped up into one show. So glad this exists. read more

See it again! I saw this in 2015 (I think it was the same, but it was at Minetta Lane?) and didn't have much to write about it back then. But I saw it again this year (2022) and loved it. It could be the show itself that was different, or maybe my seats- so take into account that I had the front row this time. I was IN IT. The choreography was captivating and the dancers were really delivering it. I didn't go in expecting live singing, but was pleasantly surprised! I also really liked the drink options. I really felt like I had a cabaret experience. I recommend sitting in the front row- don't be put off by the small seats they warn you of. They're not toddler-sized, they're just a little bit lower to the ground than normal so that people behind you can see. It's worth it to feel inundated in the show. I was in the left corner (audience left, stage right) and got to see most of the performers up close, coming on and off stage. I missed a few forward-facing visual reveals not getting a center view, but I wouldn't have traded. My seats were the best. read more

By far one of the best versions of the Nutcracker I have ever seen. A true feast for the eyes and a very intimate setting. I can't wait to go back and see their production of Snow White. Amazing job! read more

I did a 12 days of Christmas themed set of gifts for my partner this year and brought her to Nutcracker Rouge for Day 4. Your tickets will be will-call only (four "calling" birds) and to obtain them, you will have to enter into a completely obscure and unassuming set of black doors in which you will come upon a beautifully transformed theatre of satin couches and curtains, chandeliers of wine glasses, and your name card sitting on a vanity. The show is so fun! You will be taken on an erotic journey with the performers and their story. You'll witness circus, opera lyra, and burlesque in one show! I was absolutely taken away by the fusion of incredible talent with a sexy twist. The only reason why I (albeit, selfishly) took away a star was because of my experience with the single leveled seats. We were seated in a third row couch seat (and at what I assumed was a really great spot to be), but I'm tiny and unfortunately two 6ft+ men sat in front of us so I was sitting cross-legged for leverage and craning my neck to see what was going on around and between them throughout the entire show. I would encourage that if you're of smaller stature, purchase the very front row seats to see everything or the higher leveled seats. I realized that any seat is great in that theatre, but the person in front of you may change that. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed it! Maybe too much. LOL! These people are phenomenal! They do it all, act, sing, dance, host, bartend, and wait on you. I really enjoyed myself. Oh, and i loved all the people that attended as well! read more

Absolutely worth the trek into Brooklyn. Came here for our annual holiday date night and sat second row with a bottle of bubbly. Having grown up going to the traditional nutcracker ballet as a kid I was very curious on their adaptation of a classic. I was not let down - the performance is remarkably refreshing, original, visually tantalizing and moving. My fear that it would be a cheap-feeling burlesque knock-off was unwarranted. You are moved by their movement and their clear passion for their craft. If you're on the fence about trekking into to Brooklyn to give it a shot - trust me and your gut and go. You will not regret it. Grab a drink, some popcorn and prepare for an awakening! read more

Truly enjoyed this outstanding show! The performances were top notch, the set designs were high quality and the costumes were gorgeous. I would absolutely recommend this show (note, this is coming from a huge fan of the classic Nutcracker performed at Lincoln Center). Nutcracker Rouge is wonderfully creative, fabulously fun and tastefully naughty. Every second of the show is enthralling. It was the perfect night out. Bravo to all! PS--this show is now performed at the Company's theater in Bushwick. It's a cozy and cute theater. Perfect for this show. read more

Omg- best show ever!! First off the venue is very cool! Very dark and goth. Cool greeters and armoires to store your coats. We had seats up front but it seemed all seats in the house would be good! The performers were top notch. The choreography and the costumes all perfection. It was sad when it was over- we wanted more! I can still smell the incense in my hair and can't wait to go back! read more

I am going to rate this as the most memorable show I have seen in New York (or Brooklyn, to be geographically precise) so far. I think that the biggest challenge of this genre is to challenge and amaze while remaining beautiful, elegant and tasteful. This production beautifully accomplishes all these goals. It is evident that the actors are incredibly talented across multiple realms. The show included beautiful choreography and breathtaking, live singing. If you have seen many broadway musicals and you are looking for something different and memorable, this production is absolutely worth your time! read more

Nutcracker meets Rocky Horror but amazing. This is really a Broadway show that happens to be burlesque. OMG this was so much fun. It goes from a ballet to an absolutely silly scene. The performers are stunning and graceful The three lead singers should be on broadway. The audience interaction it feels like your in someone's home. The drinks are pricey but the tickets are cheap. Will definitely be back to see it. Very impressed with Company XIV. It is perfect for date night girls night anything light and great performances. read more

Great show and very entertaining. I would definitely recommend this show. The drinks were good too.

Wonderful!!! From the moment I entered the charming theater space, I felt the magic! I loved the seating arrangements, and it really seemed like there was not a bad seat in the house. There was a bar inside the theater and another in the lobby area. (Drinks are a bit pricey and it is a no-cash establishment. Also, the restroom is unisex, but perhaps that is why the line moved so swiftly.) The cast members were all extremely attractive and talented, and managed to maintain high energy and individual sparkle through a number of well-choreographed and entertaining numbers. Allison Ulrich was graceful, lovely and perfect in the "Clara" role. The costumes were creative and lavish, and the visible "behind the scenes" staging served to make the audience feel even more connected to the show. While great dancing was anticipated, the great singing came as a surprise! Marcy Richardson's inimitable version of "Yellow" was a total showstopper. Storm Marrero was a gorgeous, sexy, bluesy goddess. And last, but certainly not least, Todd Hanebrink combined amazing vocals with off-the-charts personal charisma. Totally enjoyed every minute of this show, and definitely hope to come again. read more

It was in Brooklyn not the Minetta Theater, but it was awesome. Talented dancers, singers, performers and racy. Great show for New York!
