    What an experience.

I have to say, Nutcracker Rouge is unlike anything I've ever seen before -- and I mean this is the best way possible. From the welcome greeting outside to being seated to the interactive performance, everything about this avant-garde take on the holiday classic was brilliant. I love how our greeters and the people who took us to our seat were all performers in the show. It made it so personable. The show, itself, was dynamic and the narrator sang the hell out of everything while wearing some of the most uncomfortable looking outfits (lol). So kudos to him. There was something for everyone. Tap dancing, ballet, singing, and even air acrobatics. If you can, I highly recommend this show. I cannot wait to return next year.

Truly one of the best, if not THE best performance show I've been to. From the moment you walk in, you are transformed into an alternate universe. Romance, risqué, mystery and surprise all in one. The drinks are pricey but FANTASTIC - particularly the peppermint one - A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We also got the absinth one which was super unique and my husband and I split. The show is about 2.5 hours with 2 intermissions but it goes by super fast. The performance is incredible and the dancers are unbelievably talented - and flexible. It always kept you on your toes wondering in curiosity what was next, while never wanting it to end. The perfect sensual date night around the holidays. Definitely want this to be an annual tradition!

I went to this show back in January and still can't stop thinking about it! I want to go to all of their shows so badly! Their stage presence is incredible and unforgettable!! The costumes are unreal and of course, so is the talenttt! Please, how am I, a commoner, allowed to breathe the same air as these performers haha it doesn't make sense!! No, but seriously, you won't regret going. I also loved the ambiance and the drinks. I bought standing tickets and I would stand for another 2 hours if the show kept going. The drink menu is pricey but it's to be expected and it's fun and worth it. The bartenders are also performers so loved seeing their costumes up close when getting drinks. Highly recommend and I'm taking all my friends to see their shows haha

Every time I see this show it gets better! To be honest as a child my family took me to the nut cracker on broadway numerous times but I will never ever remember it the same! This seasonal raunchy, non gender bias, LGBTQIA+, silky smooth, holiday ball of fun is everything and more. This was my first of many gifts for my bday and I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate.. Strong drinks, great seats, and a Williamsburg atmosphere. Love love love love and I'll see the show again next year!!! If you're reading this review to see if you should see this show, stop now and buy tix before they sell out!

My wife and I are SarahFunky groupies, so when her YouTube video recommended this show while visiting NYC, we had to check it out. While we were expecting more of a traditional burlesque show like we have seen at Duane Park, this had more of a theatrical twist to it and less nudity. It reminded me a lot of the Las Vegas Show, Zumanity. So it's Zumanity and the Nutcracker blended with lots of sexy rhinestone costumes that my wife has threatened to purchase for me for Christmas. Really the only nudity is some butt cheeks, and honestly I have seen more on the beaches of Florida. Just expect these butt checks to be in better shape and less lumpy. The costumes, performances and singing was as good or better as any high price Las Vegas show. The acrobatic performances and dance routines were equally as good. The MC is very good, and I recognize his performance from being the MC at Duane Park. Drinks at the bar were fabulously good, so good I can only remember parts of the third act. The show has three intermissions and the theater is very comfortable. I think there maybe more men performers than female, but it was a fun time and well worth the price of admission. I am just glad they didn't have any of those rhinestone outfits for sale for my wife to purchase on the way out. It will certainly be a version of the nutcracker that I will never ever forget. At the very best it reminded me why I need to cut back on the peanut M&M's. We had a very good five star time and I am certain you will also!

By far one of the best versions of the Nutcracker I have ever seen. A true feast for the eyes and a very intimate setting. I can't wait to go back and see their production of Snow White. Amazing job!

It was in Brooklyn not the Minetta Theater, but it was awesome. Talented dancers, singers, performers and racy. Great show for New York!

We were literally in front of the stage. If you buy a seat and not a table you must go to bar and order whatever drinks you like. The drinks are fairly priced (had goose island on draft all night). Now let's assess the show. It starts with this quirky MC that comes out and introduces his quirky self and the performing aerialist and burlesque dancers. All of the burlesque dancers were very talented and they all had different personalities. You had the happy one, the sassy one, the fun one, and the evil one lol. The aerialists were very talented and disciplined as well. The Brazilian girl kicked ass! Now to make the night even more interesting I was volunteered on the stage by my gf for a little competition to win a free drink. I will keep the details of what I had to do to myself but I ended winning a free drink on stage. Overall I had a great night and the staff was very friendly and interactive. I would definitely come here in a big group or with a significant other. There are also plenty of things to do in the area such as Brooklyn bridge park. FYI look out for Groupon and LivingSocial deals.

I started receiving emails that some of the performers transitioned from Galapagos to Below the Bridges and welcomed the opportunity to check it out. The host, bastard Keith was raunchy as always. He worked the audience and while entertaining, his entire performance was less scandalous than something you'd see at the slipper room. Sometimes it's more fun when things are eluded to than blatant, outright perversion.. Jenny Rocha and her troupe exude class, talent and skill. All of their lineups were engaging and appealing, especially the "hospital/surgery" performance. I was snickering the entire time! The rest of the performances were professional, all with some form of appeal and talent. The venue space is fantastically lit but, a little uncomfortable. The Aeriel/ribbon performers looked precariously close to the tables. We were awkwardly seated under the stairs at the end of the back row. As the stage manager was moving props next to me, I felt cramped between the bottom of the stairs and the wall. Additionally, I had to constantly reposition and myself so I could see the acts that weren't performed directly on stage. In short, I couldn't easily see the show - and for once in my life it wasn't because of any vertical disadvantage. While a table certainly would have been more cozy, and had a much better view, I didn't feel the $50 minimum per person (in addition to the ticket) was worthwhile. I also didn't want to be forced to eat there considering the plethora of dinner options across the east river... Doors open at 8:30, but it's essentially dead until 9:10.

I came here yesterday with my friends to go see MC Jin and it was a sold out venue. The main stage was pretty lit especially the lit up sign on stage. When MC Jin came on stage there was a huge standing ovation. I had a good time with his material and I admired his enthusiasm that did not let me down nor did I ever got bored. He kept the audience going on and alive. So I wish Second City had more food options because it just got 4 items for food. You got pickles, hummus, and fries for appetizers and only one entree on the menu, which is a burger with fries. That's not a lot of food options. My friends and I got fries and hummus to share. The portions were large for sharing. The hummus included pita bread, cucumbers, red bell peppers, and carrots. Pretty filling. Now with the drinks, Second City had a huge list. I ended up getting Learn Chinese cocktail, which is exclusively for the MC Jin venue. I was disappointed at the contents and how much was in my glass. They did not fill it up to the top. It was like 2/3s of the cocktail in the glass when they served it to me. I was so shocked at how little it was. It also did not get me hooked. It felt like nothing although it did taste fruity. I should have gotten a draft beer or something else instead.

I would recommend to any charity looking for decent budget space. It was a smaller cozy place, good for less than 60 people standing including 20 people or so sitting. The venue was safe and clean space for us to use. It was easy to setup and put things back when it was time. On to the owner of the space -- I felt that Nyssa, went above and beyond to make sure the event was a success! She was helpful with all details, prompt and great to work with. She is a very kind and down to earth person who cared about our efforts in this event. In the future I hope to host another SAAM event. Of course, if need to a venue like this again, being it's not booked up. Nyssa's The Living Art Gallery will be my go and the main place I'd ever recommend to anyone in need of a venue.
