We sat inside and ordered the tobacco old fashioned and the corn & oil cocktails both of which were very tasty and worth their weight in alcohol. We also ordered some light snacks; bread, cheese, olives, olive oil and balsamic, pickles, and mustard which did the trick to help with drinking on an empty stomach although nothing super memorable but it did its job. Our server was attentive and we enjoyed the ambiance of the small but functional facilities on our first trip to Mill Rd; we're excited to return to try more!

(Best wishes for the previous owners...I did try their food and thought it well.) Well, I've been to this new bar at least three times now since it's opened a month ago, and I'm trying to utilize my willpower and not go to spend my money. Alas, the owner makes good drinks with fresh ingredients and bases and liqueurs that aren't stocked elsewhere. In addition to getting our cocktails (e.g. caipirinha, margarita anejo) with what seems to be quite top-shelf (or at least mid-shelf...is that a word?...) spirits for 6.75-7.75 pounds per drink, my bf and I have been addicted to the coffee-infused Patron shots, which aren't cheap but are really delicious. I really like the environment since it's quite chilled and non-rowdy. I can't stand yelling over others at bars and clubs that put too much crap syrup in their drinks. So anyway, good, laid-back but classy vibe here with fresh drinks. Not the cheapest but affordable for a weekly indulgence if you're a college student/yuppie. God this place is pandering to my alcoholic needs.

And I still get emails from the Fez…read more Their themed nights are interesting. And their drinks, though pricey (in terms of pounds) are good enough to give you a lasting buzz...or more. The good thing about this place is they don't charge you for cover (well at least when I went) and dress codes aren't strict (I guess cuz they assume everyone in Europe has a good sense of style). Last I was here my friends and I got there early enough to get a booth and ordered ourselves drinks before we hit the dancefloor. But while there, I accidentally bumped into some lady smoking where then she told me to "WOTCH IT!" Also, there seemed to be more guys and girls. You know what that means (I'll let that simmer for a bit). I also couldn't really enjoy their music, not because I didn't like it but moreso because I couldn't get used to it. But everyone around me seemed to enjoy it, what with it being stuff from the U.S. and other countries. The crowd there was very diverse too, especially both young and old. Mostly old. Overall, if I was back in the area I would comeback just to party here one more time. I know there aren't that many clubs/ night spots in Cambridge but the Fez is a good club to check out if you're in the area.

This is an alright club, a bit on the small side and very pricey (and I'm used to London prices)…read morebut the music was good, the toilets were nice and the staff were suprisingly friendly. For the taller person this place is a little cramped but I'm used to that now but it can be a hit hairy after afew and you forget to duck. Also the coat check is a joke, there is no real queue and it's basically just a free for all to get your coat in or out ad this means it drops a star as a good coat check is the mark of a good club. All in all it's not a bad night out, especially seeing as cambridge has little else to it's name.

The Snug - More horseradish I found in my drink!

I've learned that getting a drink is the only thing Snug bar is good for based on my last two experiences. First experience, I ordered a bloody mary and a hamburger. Hamburger was OK forgettable, and chose the chunky potato chips, forgettable as well. About the bloody mary, I ordered it extra spicy and what I got was extra mashed up horseradish that turned the normally red 'bloody' drink into a creamy chunk white chunky drink. It was not very nice and not very easy to stomach. I took pictures of all the horseradish I was taking out of my mouth. What got me was I looked at their condiments and they had a large bottle of Tabasco sauce, why didn't someone use their brain? Next trip was about 2 months later, today's voyage. I ordered same forgettable hamburger as well as the memorable Winter Woo that had warmed vodka, peach schnapps and cranberry juice. I ordered the Winter Woo on my first trip due to the bad bloody mary, it was nice. I drank my drink, we talked. An hour later our food arrives. Hamburger is OK, and then I started eating the coleslaw and what I found at the bottom of the dish was a pack of used butter condiment so technically trash was in my food. I felt sick, I complained to the waiter, he gave me the 25% 'student' discount' to get me to be OK with finding trash in my food. So yeah...Not my favorite place, but I will still have drinks there, I give them two stars for the drinks no stars for the food and the ambiance. I remembered the time before last there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, don't like to shake it if I don't have to, please restock your toilet paper.
