It's been a year or so since going to Ethos... but I'm writing this now for one major reason: after…read moreall the treatments I've had other places over the years, I still remember my appointment at Ethos and it was definitely one of the best. I love the neighborhood feel of the place, it doesn't feel like a big chain or like a sterile med spa. It was a perfect setting. I scheduled a back facial with Danielle ahead of a wedding in which I was a bridesmaid and I was no disappointed at all! The facial itself was lovely of course, but what stands out the most to me are two things: 1) I felt incredibly comfortable with Danielle. I am a shy and introverted person, and I've learned to how to be comfortable in spa settings, but the wrong vibes from the person providing the service and I close right back up and get tense. This was NOT the case with Danielle and I am so thankful for that. Even after the appointment, I genuinely felt comfortable coming back; she made me feel like I was already a regular and that's something that can't be said for most - or any really place I've been before. 2) Similar to #1 - I felt relaxed! I still remember slowly dozing off at one point - and who can say that after having some extractions on their back?! I've since moved out of Annapolis but still have this place bookmarked for if I ever want to have an amazing facial for an event (definitely worth the drive).

This has happened the last 3 times. I think it's a language barrier, and I love the staff. I always tip well despite it being wrong because I like the business. My only issue is if you don't know what I want, don't smile and say yes, just ask again I promise I won't be mad. I just sat there for an hour massage not happy because what I wanted was not to worked on. Disappointing

He used hot stones (not even requested) which really helped make the massage pleasant and not painful (I have a lot of tension/knots which are always painful in previous massages by other therapists). He truly customized the massage to me and gave me tips on how to relieve tension in my body through posture and self treatment. I had a stuffy nose which he noticed and drenched a cloth in eucalyptus for me to breath in and relieve the stuffy nose. On top of superb treatment, his prices are the lowest you will find anywhere in this area. I recommend Escape Massages by David! - Michelle

I have no idea why it took me so long to start coming here for massages! I have lived in the area…read morefor over five years but just started my appointments here about a year ago. I was under the impression that they were more expensive than other places but once I began my membership I realized I was completely wrong. I automatically pay each month for a 60min massage and I can add additional massages at the membership rate if I get impatient and need another massage inbetween my regular appointments. I accidentally scheduled my appointment with Joe when I made my initial appointment and am so glad for that! He is amazing! When I say accidentally, I just mean that I intended to schedule with a female therapist but then selected an appointment time on Joe's schedule. They called me to confirm if that was okay and I just rolled with it. I have been seeing him at least once a month ever since. I have been getting massages since before I even had a license. Joe is the most consistent therapist I ever had. I prefer deep tissue massages and I get just that...for the entire 60 minutes unlike some massages where only here and there feels good. Joe is professional and always checks in before each session to determine if there are any specific spots he should focus on. Prior to leaving I always get my next appointment on the calendar. The customer service here is great. Because they are super small and don't always have someone at the desk, I typically have to leave a message when calling. I always receive a call back within the hour. I have had to call to reschedule an appointment or two and never had an issue. I highly recommend checking them out. If you are a deep tissue person, give Joe a try!
