The guy at the counter "Mike" is a real one and deserves a raise. He's extremely efficient, personable, and no bullshit. First time I went, I went in for transmission issues. Most mechanics will say whatever they have to in order to secure some work, but they recommended I drive it until the transmission blows, and then bring it in to fix it. Second time I went, it was for suspension, and they said it would be about $150 to diagnose my issue (which was the cheapest diagnostic I could find); they found my issue quickly, and only charged me $50 or so, instead of $150. Then, after I decided the suspension issues weren't something I could fix myself, they gave me a price to get it fixed with OEM parts. That was too expensive for me, so I went to a junk yard and got the part, and they said they'd install it. Unfortunately the new part i brought was bad, so they actually frankensteined one out of the old and "new" part, and that worked, ultimately, saving me literally thousands of dollars. After the oil change and before I left, they gave me a list of things that were "wrong" ($5800) with my car. One major one was the valve cover gasket leaking. ($1700+) Leaving Honest 1 with a terrible feeling in my gut, I decided to go to get a different quote. That is where All Imports & Domestic came into play. I called them and talked to Michael and we scheduled for me to come in that day to have them look at the quote I got from Honest 1. I knew I needed new tires and some front end work (Thanks MN roads) and Michael suggested that they clean my entire engine and put dye in the oil to see where the leak(s) and coming from. He sent me a quote for the engine dye, front end work and new tires and on Tuesday of this week, I dropped my car off, hoping they didn't find the problems the Honest 1 told me about. Michael called me in the afternoon to tell me that it wasn't necessary to do the dye test because it is a very minimal leak and that also saw that my car had the wrong size tires on there...so he ordered ones that were right. I picked up my car and had a bill that was a little more then one of the jobs Honest 1 would have done that wasn't needed. This is going to be my forever go to place when I need a oil change or anything else for my current and future cars. I definitely would recommended this shop as trustworthy, reliable and dependable which I can tell you is not the case with all places you might consider in Eagan. One place I would stay away from and this is getting side tracked but a relatively new chain which has two locations in Eagan and while I wont explicitly name them I'll just say this about them. They are not HONEST and they market themselves as being that along with being women friendly repair shop. I have first hand experience, knew a person that was honest and worked there and left because he could not in good conscience do what they were asking of him. One being constantly up selling folks and trying to get unneeded work done. My experience along with friend who worked there has also been collaborated by neighbors and friends in the community. They have already gone through one owner but the new ones were no different in my opinion. Ok, I digress but try these guys are the complete opposite so out before you try any place claiming to be HONEST try the guys out or any other place for that matter. Don't just take my word but check out Google reviews where you can find 40+ reviews and 4.5 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, thats remarkable for a garage.

Instead I brought it to Munich Motors, they fixed it for $1700 by taking it apart and sending the defective piece out to another company down south that works on them. My solenoids had gotten gunked up from a bad seal. Car runs fantastic now. Had it with Munich Motors for about a week as they needed to tear into it and then send the part out. Great company! jp

First day of the year to turn our AC on for our 2015 Buick Enclave and discovered it was just…read morebarely cool. This was at 2:30 pm and we are leaving at the crack of dawn for a long road trip tomorrow. First called our mechanic of 18 years to find out he just retired, but the new owner could not get us in. We then called Buick, which was a $300 diagnostic fee plus a bunch of other add-on union costs that they refused to guestimate. Then we remembered we have driven by Baker Automotive thousands of times but never thought to go there because we have not had AC problems and had a mechanic ... They were super nice in the phone and said they would get us in despite them closing at 6 pm. When I got there I was surprised to see they are full automotive repair and asked if they could also do an oil change, but only if they had time. They got both done in maybe just over an hour. The mechanic then explained in simple terms how the AC is designed, there is a design flaw, and that there was a recall that they could not verify if it was done. I really like this place. It is so hard to find a mechanic you can trust (a 4.9 rating on Google for 100+ reviews). They are local and prices reasonable ($331 for AC and synthetic oil). Plus they got me in and quickly. Five star service all around, and it turns out, we have a new mechanic.
