He even sent us photographs from the wholesale mulch place to ensure we were comfortable with the color and type of mulch he was purchasing. When we eventually decided we'd order mulch from Home Depot instead, he was happy to pick it up from Home Depot for us and he laid it very nicely in our yard. Los Tules did: complete weed clearing in 1 day(!) weed blocking cloth balanced, aesthetic design with benderboard divider automatic irrigation, re-using our rainbird timer at our request mulch and rock of our choice kept existing fruit trees and planted some potted plants at our request We might be the world's worst yard weeds(?!). Our backyard veggie gardening fell by the wayside and we realized it was too much upkeep to continue. Our goal was to have a tidy, low maintenance yard and keep our fruiting trees. Eduardo and Paulino also helped with creative ideas when we asked for advice (and did not proffer unsolicited advice). Eduardo LISTENED to what we wanted. Came back from a three week vacation and the grass is really long. Called Chris and he told me that he would be by the next day. He never came. Sent him a text and he said he would take care of it on the weekend. Never came. Another text. I'll be there tomorrow. Never came. Texted him. Said something about family issues and he would be there tomorrow. Never came. Another text. Said he would be there when it cools down after six. At eight I asked if he was still coming. Never heard back. Today I'm looking at Yelp reviews for a new person. Saw a number that looked familiar and it is Chris. Run people of Yelp! Anyone have recommendations of a competent lawn service?? Edit : Chris, I only added the pics after reading your comment about how it was difficult to get ahold of me, when that was clearly not the case. You asked why did I wanted to hire you again after the first terrible job. Well, I believe everyone deserves a second chance and I gave you multiple chances to redeem yourself. Too bad you couldn't find the time to come by and do the job you "promised" to do. Lastly, my experience doesn't sound unique. Maybe you should read a couple of your other reviews. This seems like a common problem for you. People come to Yelp to see patterns of costumer service so they know what to expect. So, thank you for your comments. BE AWARE!!!! HAPPENED WITH ME! I asked for recommendations to install a sprinkler in my backyard in…read morea group on Facebook and a guy name Christopher Almendarez called me by message. I called him to come here to check it out the best way to do that and to check what he needs and how much will cost. He came and gave me the instructions about what he thinks was the best way to do that and he said my hose needs to be fixed and he gave me the price for all the service. Before i say to him I want to do the service I asked him if everything will be hidden because of my dog and because I don't want anything exposed and ugly. He said yes and said only the feeder tube will be exposed but everything else hidden. We did an appointment. He came and my son paid him because I was at work. First of all he did not gave us any receipt for the payment!!! Even after I asked him to do that because I need to show the landlord. And worse of that, when I came home and checked his service I saw that he did not fix the hose and everything is leaking now. (I asked him to come back to fix it and he said that is not his business. How?? How he will install a sprinkler without leave that working?!) And more of all this, he left everything ridiculously ugly and exposed and I think he did not put the right thing because the water is coming crazy! I tried to contact him and he said it's not his business and his service was done. Like I said, how someone come, check, say what he needs to INSTALL A SPRINKLER SYSTEM and after that say that if it's leaking is not his business????? Then, he said he will come to do "by his heart" but gave me a lot excuses and never came. Now, he blocked me and I cannot contact him anymore! I'm pregnant and very mad right now. It's just to aware everyone about this company and this guy because nobody deserves that! I have everything saved on my Facebook messenger!!! And have photos and etc. THE NAME OF HIS BUSINEES IS "lawns hedges and weeds". But he gave a quote with another name, address and etc. JUST SAW ON HIS FULL PROFILE. The concrete was so bad I had him tear it out. The electrical was done so poorly I had to hire an electrician to fix all the problems. He ran the gas line.....but buried the line with out testing for leaks so I've had to have that redone. The company I hired to redo the gas line found numerous leaks and had to dig all the line up and start over. Just horrible work. Luckily I did not pay him the full amount as the job was never completed but I'm out several thousand dollars and tons of my time. Do NOT use this company for anything.
