Called Numotion for a power wheelchair repair. I asked how quickly they could perform the needed service. They told me it would be months, at a minimum, as they needed to direct the repair order through insurance. I told them there was no insurance involved -- that i purchased the chair on my own, and repairs would be a self-pay. They told me rules were rules, and they would need to submit to my insurance regardless. I assured them my insurance would deny such a claim, and they told me that was fine, I would be permitted to self-pay, but only after they had an insurance denial in hand. Ordered a wheelchair that has been seemingly broken ever since it was delivered with the wrong leg supports. Ever since I am constantly jumping through hoops to schedule repairs for things like missing bolts, broken straps, supports, etc. At one point we were waiting for a repair for over a month only to have the manager at an Assisted Living Facility find out that there was some sort of co-pay for about $11 due that Numotion insisted was paid prior to sending out a technician to fix the wheelchair. I had no clue there was an outstanding co-pay, no phone call, no email, no bill sent, just a broken wheelchair on account of $11. Some how this company managed to bill me over $3,000 for the wheelchair but can't bill me a $11 co-pay or at least make me aware there is a co-pay before they will send a technician. I am a mother to a child with special needs for 21+ years and this is my first negative review on a site. After waiting five years to replace the wheelchair we couldn't stand, we met with Numotion for almost two hours discussing the changes in her new wheelchair. Only a couple, but important ones... including a different brand wheelchair. The current one broke all the time. Imagine our surprise when we arrived FIVE MONTHS AFYWR ORDERING, to pick up the new wheelchair and it wasn't a the EXACT SAME CHAIR. Same Brand we said we didn't want. Exact same except missing pieces that was supposed to be on new chair. They didn't care at all. Parts were missing-including buckles for her harness to keep her in the chair ???? 'Can't you use old one mom?' Cushion was wrong, can't you use old one? We waited almost six months and so upset to see the exact same wheelchair with zero accountability from numotion. We will not be recommending them to anyone. Still waiting on parts from them that our insurance paid for. read more

The purchasing process was fine. Took awhile to get the chair, but we didn't know what was reasonable, The service sucks. They schedule a service call, but then don't show up and do nothing other than schedule at their next earliest convenience, which is more than a week later. Too many customers, don't give a damn about the disabled. Either you fit in with their demands or they just run you around for hours and finally just hang up on you. Can't make an appointment on time. If you ask for a supervisor, they put you in a loop and you will spend hours waiting, only to have your call disconnected. Unfortunately, you cannot do a negative 1 rating, but that is what this company has been to me for over a decade. NuMotion is one of the most disorganized companies I have ever had to deal with. They are constantly ordering wrong equipment, scheduling me for a time/date and with the wrong windows of arrival and never have a valid reason why my orders are wrong, incorrectly ordered and or taking two-three months to get them to call with an appt date that is a month away, but will hassle for the money to order the parts. Why pay them to order parts if they are going to order the incorrect parts. We never get a refund or itemize for future orders, etc., always quick to take your money. There is NEVER a higher person than customer service. I have had numerous agents who are assigned to me as a client, and they can't even give me valid reason why I am constantly having issues with them? NuMotion needs new management and really take their clients seriously, because we have serious conditions. read more

I took the whole day off work, and my son took the whole day off from school because numotion was supposed to deliver and adjust a new stander for my son. They showed up 30 minutes late with a headrest cover. No stander. No phone call. They are disorganized and have no consideration for customers or caregivers. The reviews of NuMotion on Yelp are very accurate. It appears that occasionally they have a satisfied customer but that most individuals have a poor experience when dealing with them. I too fall into the latter category. It is no accident that 73% of customers give NuMotion a 1 star rating (79% if you include reviews not recommended by Yelp). It is the simple lack of even a semblance of customer service. I say this as a customer who has yet to receive his manual wheelchair that was put into their system in early March 2023 (say put into the system. not ordered until yesterday - 7/26/2023). NuMotion claims to have a "5 Point" protocol when processing new equipment orders to keep customers informed as to progress on obtaining their equipment. A joke , i WAS NEVER CONTACTED at any point in time until they were seeking payment of my copay almost 5 months after I had been measured for my wheelchair. (I had been told that my chair would be ready in 3 - 4 months when I was initially measured). I was contacted by NuMotion at 3:37 PM on a Friday afternoon and was not able to answer the call but called back at 3:50 the sane day - the phone was not answered that day so I left multiple messages requesting a call back on Monday. I did not receive a call back on Monday and called multiple times on Monday to have the phone not not answered and again left messages requesting a call back. The same was true on Tuesday until FINALLY someone answered the phone Tuesday afternoon to take my call and payment. By this time I was understandably upset and requested to speak to someone who was assigned to my account. I voiced my concerns to Danielle who told me she would look inti it and contact me Wednesday morning. Like all contact with NuMotion a follow up call was not received and I had to place yet another call to Danielle and NuMotion just to receive a run around yet again from her and subsequently from other individual in the organization. All anyone has to offer is excuses rather than solutions. NuMotion is a company that refuses to take any responsibility for its failures to the customer (and for its failures in meeting even their own standards as related to customer service). My advice to anyone who has not yet chosen a wheelchair vendor is to avoid NuMotion at all costs, at very best this company is inept if not incompetent. They are impossible to work with. They happily sell you the chair, but never want to service it. Calls to get repairs done are not returned. If you do get a tech to come out be prepared to wait a month for them to show up. Then another month for the parts to come in. Then several weeks until they come to install it. I wish there was a "0" star rating for this company. It doesn't matter who you deal with here. Each and every employee just does not care. No one ever picks up their phones and emails are only responded to when they feel like it. You constantly have to chase after these people to get anything done. And when "done", it is usually done wrong and multiple back and forths happen...and then still done WRONG a second and even third time. Sadly, this is not an exaggeration. Too bad some insurance companies only use them, so maybe that is why they feel like they can do whatever. It is horrible to even think that because Numotion is in the business of providing health and medical equipment to people who NEED them, that they have no conscience. I don't know how any of the employees sleep at night. If anyone at Numotion is reading this, please revamp your customer service. Your customers come to you because they have to and are in need of life-altering equipment. It is tough living with a disability and having to deal with a company who supposedly should be providing some kind of relief to individuals and their families but creating even more obstacles is unthinkable. read more

NuMotion Jeff Cupps, Tony Evans provided an amazing wheelchair for my son, 34 and a quadriplegic on life support. The wheelchair is very specialized and complex and NuMotion provided excellence in every way. The detail provided and expertise in customization has provided a chair that he is able to spend 12 hours per day in correctly positioned. The ventilator tray has plenty of room for the ventilator, humidifier heater, suction machine and spare battery for the ventilator. The attendant controller enables me to drive the chair for my son. NuMotion has provided wheelchairs for my son over the past 30 years. I appreciate beyond words the work that has been done and we will forever be NuMotion fans. i'm beyond angry!! a little after 2a.m may 18, 2018 while my daughter was in her chair getting repositioned and about to get a g-tube feed, one of wheels was leaning inward. i called numotion to get the after hours number and they didn't have one. however, they did a few months ago. i called the toll free number same thing. i looked on the website no emergency number listed. i had to call the main number to the fire dept for assistance. in case of an emergency i can get my daughter out safely as i'm not physically able to carry her so her wheelchair working properly is crutial. i'm disgusted and outraged a company this big can't do better!!! read more

This is a frustrating company. They have incompetent employees who are never held accountable. It seems as if their internal computer system can't track an order. Humans who work there or software they use can't give parents a simple answer to 'Where are we with getting this piece of equipment'. Emails are mostly left unanswered. Cell phone calls are not returned. Answers to questions usually blame medicare or medical assistance for things taking so long to get approved(meanwhile Numotion doesn't have all it needs from the doctor so it hasn't even been submitted yet). Offers from you to personally obtain what is needed from the doctor...you guessed it...are not answered. If the employees made a single follow up call to the doctors office that would be it. NO FOLLOW UP CALLS. "We faxed the request'. Then their job must be done. On to the next order we can muck up. Parents are left in the dark about exactly what has been done, what needs to be done, what can I do, where are we in the process? I'll tell you where. It lies at the bottom of a very deep hole on Lord Baltimore Dr. with all of the other orders for medical equipment. I am amazed this company can turn a profit. If they had even slightly better processes in place they could probably triple their P/E ratio. Be prepared to be lied to and disappointed time and time again. There is a much more responsive and caring wheelchair and mobility company not too far away. If you want transparency you won't find it at Numotion. Nor any sense of urgency. Medicare rules are not easy but Numotion acts like today is their first day doing business with Medicare and MA. read more
