I was referred to this place by a very good friend and boy was she right!! I had Mary do my spa pedicure and what a fantastic job! She is my girl from now on!

This is long overdue. I've been a regular here for a year and some change now. The staff is always warm and welcoming. They're friendly and after a few visits, they remember everyone's name and face. Eric, the owner, is there everyday for i think the whole day making sure everything runs smoothly. Jennifer has been doing my nails every 2-3 weeks. I'm super anal about my nails and she always makes sure I leave happy. I always get UV gel with gel color manicure. They have a great selection of nude gel colors that I absolutely love (because I'm boring and literally only do nudes). But, I'm on vacation and decided to do a little something extra for vacay. This is my real nail, with a tiny tiny bit of UV gel to extend it. The shape and length is exactly how I wanted it, and even though it took Jen a little longer, she made sure to take her time and do an amazing job.

I took an appointment for a color gel manicure only but I was so happy with daisy's work that I asked if it's possible to get a gel pedicure since I didn't take appointment for that ! And they said YES. It's little pricey compare to other salons but totally worth it ! They use lemon, honey and hot stones for pedicure! I highly recommend and definitely will comeback

Shelly did an amazing job fixing my UV Gel which I had previously done at another salon. Her attention to detail really made all the difference. Pedicures are always done well when I go. All of the staff is very nice and welcoming!

I still haven't found a salon I trust my nails with yet enough to be a regular. I came to test out the $25 pedicure and was very impressed with how much came with a regular pedicure: exfoliating scrub, honey&lemon (squeezed in front of you) to sooth, shea butter massage, hot rock massage, and paraffin wax heel treatment. If you're craving the pedicure experience, this place is WONDERFUL. They also spent a decent amount of time cutting my cuticles and cleaning under my nails. However, the actual pedicure itself leaves something to be desired. I'm not sure what base and top coat they use, but I brought my own polish (just in case, they actually have a very large variety of regular and gel polishes) and it was extremely lumpy and obvious. Additionally, I called ahead to make sure there was availability and I'm glad I did! Although they have plenty of technicians, there was a huge flow of business and customers who didn't make an appointment were waiting for quite some time. There wasn't really a front area per se and no one actually manning the front. After drying, I could've walked out without paying but integrity stopped me from walking away. I stood next to the register and waited for someone to tell me how much a pedicure cost, and having to wait to pay was one of the dumbest things a business could do. If I just want to enjoy my pedicure and not have anyone see my feet (hello winter!), then I may come back.

    Gel manicure

I had regular pedicure and gel manicure today. When I call, they were little bit busy. But they were able to give me the appointment an hour later and there was no waiting time when I arrived. I had two different technicians but both pedicure and gel manicure were amazing. I asked a regular pedicure but the technician spent a good amount of time for massage. She even used hot stone for massage and I loved it. As you see the picture, gel manicure looks amazing even thought my nails were such a horrible condition before. The technician used real aloe leave rubbing on my hand as well as other oil and lotion. I appreciated that little bit of detail! The place was clean and organized, they followed the COVID protocol. There was a plastic shield between technician and customer. I'm not a person go to salon every week, so I didn't even ask the technicians' name(I really should've done!!) but when I need professional nail care, I definitely go back to Number One Nail!

Absolutely horrible service. The employees were rude about our appointment and we still had to wait 25 minutes. We were rushed while other people were getting their feet massaged for 25-30 mins. Sloppy. They were reusing pedicure tools -- my husbands toe was completely fine before we went there and 2 hours later it was purple. Would not recommend and would definitely never give them my business again. Unfortunate because i've heard great things about this place. I would post photos of the cuticles that were not even touched / the un-filed nails / "gel" manicure that was ruined after 1 day but i think i've said / showed enough.

Today I got my gel extensions removed and after got a gel manicure. It was my first time getting a manicure here (I usually just get pedicures here) and it was amazing. I went to Kelly and she was gentle, very quick and they came out beautiful!! I was nervous to get my extensions removed because it could be painful but she did a fantastic job! Not to mention the salon is spotless and due to COVID they have a checkpoint as well as signing a safety flyer. Love it here!

Awesome place to get your nails done!

I've been Sugaring probably for the past 15 years and I had an excellent aesthetician in Florida and then I moved to upstate New York, and I wanted to find someone that was equally as good here in New Jersey. I found Lotus Skin Care while doing some research on the web and call to make an appointment . I spoke with Secilia she answered all of my questions. She explained the location where they are, and the service that they provide. I made my first appointment with Secilia. I had the most amazing experience. Secilia is a consummate professional. She's friendly, inviting, and very personable. She puts you at ease and make sure that you're relaxed. She's also very communicative making sure that she understands exactly what your needs are. Every time I call Cecilia answers his phone and says hello Barbara, which adds such a nice touch a nice, personal touch. They offer many different types of Sugaring but I can say that each time Cecilia does it she does an excellent job. She talk you through it while she's Sugaring you and make sure that you're OK and also always ask if you have any questions. I would definitely recommend anybody that is looking for a new location or has never had a sugaring before and wants a new experience or any other services to check them out. It was the worst, most amateur, and unpleasant experience, and I won't be back. (I left messages on your Insta, asking the manager to reach out, and both DM's were ignored.) Anyway, Isis talked about how guests come there for a "relaxing" experience. I'd just had a close friend die, and told her I needed calm and quiet. She proceeded to ignore my request and would not stop talking for an hour. About what she makes for dinner after work. About her tattoos and all the new ones she plans to get. About some upcoming party she was cooking for. Meanwhile, her actual work was spotty, inconsistent, and patchy since she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing, as she was too distracted by her own stories the entire time to focus on me. I knew the results would be mediocre, incomplete, and not good enough -- and unfortunately, I was right. When I got home, I looked more closely at my legs. I saw that my thighs hadn't been touched, and my calves were a hit or miss. Considering the price, the overall vibe, and feeling obligated to tip Isis 20%, it was a waste of my time and money. Isis is rough, and rough around the edges. She is immature and inexperienced. She told me she'd *just* graduated from beauty school, and it shows. She lacks social skills, professionalism, emotional IQ, and waxing expertise. Her touch is heavy-handed, and the way she spreads the wax (I've done this professionally for years myself) is thick, clunky, and hard. So by the time she pulls it off, it's unnecessarily uncomfortable. I take no pleasure leaving such a negative review. But she was awful and I'm sad I have to go elsewhere now.

Deceptive practices by reception!!!…read more Upon check-out, I was informed that my wax pass had only one more service and that they were running their summer promotion. I was initially not going to renew my wax pass - SOLELY - because it made more sense for me to pay individually with how infrequently I actually needed a wax anymore. I was informed of the pricing on my pass and remarked how it was LESS THEN HALF of what it normally was (I had purchased the pass before), and she GUSHED about how their promotion was the best deal she had ever seen. I repeated myself to make sure that the pricing was correct and she reassured me that it was, so I re-upped on the pass, they said they would charge my card on file 'for the full amount' I was quoted, and I felt fine about the renewal given the deal and knowing it wouldn't expire. 2 months later, my credit card is charged again, for the same amount I paid the previous month- as if I am paying installments for a service I initially did not want to renew. I am livid. Customer service does not respond to emails, and the phone number to make appointments does nothing to resolve this issue either, as they have no idea what they're doing. This is not the first time I am having billing issues with EWC- and that previous time they didn't resolve it either. I'd imagine with the competition from other means of better hair removal these days, they allow these people to behave in such an immoral way. I will place a dispute with my CC company and should that fail, be sure to avoid this location for any and all business, which is a shame, as the aestheticians / waxers are lovely people. When these services are finished, I will not return to this company for anything

I'm one of those hairy guys that comes out of the ocean, gets down on all fours, and shakes like a dog to shed the water, while people nearby complain about getting sprayed. Read too much about men going once and never going back because it was too painful, however, I ran an errand in Fair Lawn, NJ and found myself three doors down from the EWC, and decided to pose some questions. Donya (forgive me if if I misspelled) at the front desk was excellent to work with and we agreed that Tara would do a couple of sample patches on the most traditionally painful locations. Tara was also patient, kind and excellent. The initial pull was uncomfortable but quite tolerable, and the discomfort was gone in less than a minute. Made my appointment with Tara for the next day. Full back! Out of many strips, I'd say a few were noticeably 'on the edge' but the extreme discomfort vanished very quickly. Front desk staff and Tara were wonderful to work with. It all looked fine when I got home, however, later in the day my back itched a bit in one spot and I took a look. Wow!!! It appeared that every follicle spot was quite red, like a giant rash, all over my back. But it was strictly visual. No discomfort whatsoever. Took a quick shower, and checked again before bed and the 'rash' was gone. I did find out that the redness is normal. I will be going back when it gets long again, and hope that Tara will still be there. I regret not asking Tara to take a couple of 'before' pics, because the couple of 'after' pics she took are meaningless without the comparison. I sent one 'after' pic to the last person to shave my back and she was quite impressed, because she knew what the before looked like. Next time we'll take 'before' and 'after' pics. If I hadn't run that errand I probably never would have done this. Between Donya and Tara, I felt welcome and well cared for, and highly recommend the people and the location. I may consider a package from Donya! All of my apprehension was for nothing!!! Try it!! Keep in mind that we're all different... rate of hair growth, pain tolerance, and anxiety! Before starting, I neglected to ask Tara if I reminded her of anyone from her past who bullied or otherwise caused her any grief. She definitely treated me well, so I won't have to ask next time.

I speak the same language, and to be honest it seemed like the waxer was not being fair towards the trainee (telling her to do something and then getting upset at her for doing as she was told). It was a very uncomfortable and tense atmosphere. 2. The woman who did my waxing kept trying to thread my face. I do not like threading but she didn't listen to me. She said she is very skilled at threading, which I'm sure she is, but that's not what I wanted. If she can't do just a face wax and has to thread, she should inform the client of that before the appointment begins. She ended up just waxing but was very upset about it. 3. She kept slapping the wax paper on my face. LITERALLY. She was hitting my face with her open palm and an unnecessary amount of force. My face kept jolting every time she did it due to sheer force. I told her if she does it again I would be leaving. She told me "you never told me that I was doing it too hard"...I'm sorry, do I have to tell you not to slap something onto my face??? What kind of logic is that for a beauty salon? After I said this, she said "Well I told you threading would be better". It felt like she was just upset I told her not to thread my face and was being petty. 4. She raised the price of the service. It was supposed to be $25 (I got it without the neck), but she said it was being changed to $45. I told her that isn't fair, as the sign says $25. Again, she should really be advertising these changes. The wax itself was fine, but this is one of the tensest and most unprofessional beauty salon appointments I've ever had. Steer clear of this shop.
