Imagine what it was like in the good ol' days... I've had a box with Michael for nearly 20 years and I don't even live in California anymore. I trust him with my life. Never has there been a kinder person. One cannot pay for the kind of service you can expect to receive here -- because it doesn't exist. I never worry about packages sent to or from this location - If it's in Michael's hands it'll be done right. I don't review often, but I'm certain everyone of his patrons would agree wholeheartedly. read more

Management and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me ship a package before the holiday rush. Solid dependable business.

I have been a customer at this mailbox store and gift shop for over 15 years. Not only do I rent a business mailbox but I use the store for all of my packaging and shipping needs. It also has a wonderful selection of gifts if you're on your way to a birthday party or want to ship a gift out of town. You can buy a unique gift, a cute gift bag with tissue paper and a card all in one place! The owner, Michael, always makes his customers feel special and keeps an eye out for us. He's a wonderful person and one of the main reasons that I am loyal to the store. read more

The man working behind the Counter (Michael) has extreme emotional issues. Apparently from the reviews I'm not the only one who seems to think this. Seems like if your a regular and he knows you then you might have a better experience, but if your new to his shop brace yourself because he can be really mean, and rude to you directly for no reason. No one needs Extra stress in life. Really we don't. There's enough going on in this world. I could never give someone my business that is rude and hurtful. Get it together man and stop taking your anger out on customers. Oh and your apology came a little too late Michael. read more

I have been timing here for nearly 15 years. Michael is so warm and friendly, this is my favorite place to mail things. Even just drop offs. He is funny an kind, and invests in his customers lives. Michael is legit and the store is quirky and quaint, just like we like it! Because Michael is so personable, he is absolute trustworthy. He cares about people and doing things with excellence. Thank you for being a bright and friendly spot in a busy city! read more

Michael is the BEST! This could be your local neighborhood mail box/gift shop from a small town. Michael remembers you, always has a smile on his face and asks how you are. I go out of my way to drop my packages off here and to send USPS mail from here (bc the post office sucks). I wish Michael the absolute best, he's created a wonderful neighborhood PO and gift shop. read more

I don't have many postal needs but this is the place i used to use for shipping, key copying, I've bought keychains and stamps and greeting cards....i stopped in today because i had a box to ship with a prepaid label. I asked if he could just throw a piece of tape on it. It would have been totally fine with me if he just lnformed me nicely that they changed their policy and they do not put tape on boxes with prepaid labels anymore. But he proceeded to tell me that he doesn't want any customers who come in and ask for tape on a prepaid label box to come into his store. As i said ok no problem and nicely walked out with my box, he continued on to inform me that if i wait in line for 40 minutes at the post office, They won't put tape on it either. So i have no problem using the other 6 local postal places for my postal needs. And i also have no problem buying tape from them. read more

Every single time I walk out of here after an errand or shipping something I feel so much better than when I first walked in. This isn't just about getting my errands done. Number One mailbox is an experience. I've been coming here for years and Michael has always given me great advice, encouragement, support, etc. Since he too is also an artist he gets it so his egging me on gives me the fuel I need to keep up with what I am doing. It's not easy being an artist, but with his great insight I have a better grasp on what I need to do in order to move forward. read more

If your local to Beverly Hills and need mailbox, packaging, shipping and notary service, definitely consider going to Mike. They have always been accommodating. Pricing is affordable and service is professional and efficient read more

I have stopped here twice and owner is always so helpful. I so appreciate a knowledgeable person who explains my shipping options and goes out of his way to ensure customer satisfaction. This is definitely my new go to place for shipping needs. read more

This mailbox center is beyond helpful. Michael, the owner, is on site and goes out of his way to assist in everything I need to complete shipping for my business. He has a variety of boxes and envelopes available to purchase, which cuts out an extra trip for me! Truly a all in one mailbox store that makes my time more efficient. Oh and also they have the coolest gift section with books, wine accessories, novelties and cards. That has been super helpful when I am behind and come up on a birthday or holiday last minute. Love this place. read more

Number One Mailbox is a very convenient place to ship packages and handle all your mail&shipping needs. They are located next to a great Chinese take-out restaurant, a fantastic french bakery/lunch spot, a beauty supply store, and a pharmacy. The owner, Michael, is a very nice guy who will do whatever he can to make you happy. I highly recommend using Number One Mailbox. read more

Thanks, Michael! The service here is always great, whether I need to ship packages internationally, or just return an online purchase, you guys are always so helpful. And thanks for the notary referral which is just upstairs. You're conveniently located for all of my postal, copying and notary needs. read more

Michael is a wonderful, efficient guy. 1 Million times better than going to the post office, but even that is understating it. This is a great shipping/mail/stamps/key place. read more

This place has THE BEST GREETING CARD selection, and more. The owner Michael is amazing, and kind, and you should go shop there. ASAP!

I agree with the other five-star reviews, Michael is the best. I suspect that Todd M. went there on a day when Michael was away and had a substitute working for him who did not have enough experience. Recently, I was there and Michael said that the young man who had been filling in for him when he was on vacation was the best he'd ever hired. read more

I've never written a Yelp review before, which I hope shows how much I appreciate this place. Michael is genuinely the best. He completely cares about and takes care of all his customers. I started going here because of my old job, and return whenever I need to print things or mail anything. He really takes care of his customers and is a friendly and capable owner. It is nice to see small businesses still alive, so please support this one! read more

Always friendly and helpful when I drop off my rent. Easy location and has all basic shipping needs.

Guy at the counter is rude and has emotional issues, first time at the business and he got flustered at one question seemed like he was off his meds or something when, suddenly he suggested i go to nearby mail centers?! Not sure why,but hey if he has no customer service skills he should not be working there. read more

My step dad went into this place because it was so close to our house and seemed to be very convenient. I have NEVER given a bad review in my life, but from how frustrated my step dad was I knew I needed to. He is a very kind man and rarely gets upset for context. My step dad needed to ship 4 t-shirt to the UK. However for some reason the price to ship only ONE came out to 66$. This is because the man working the counter (Michael it seems like) never made it clear he only uses priority Mail. While my step dad was being ringed up the computer system crashes and their is already a line of people behind him. So he just says to ship the one shirt and goes to the postal office, which only costed 24$ to ship 4 shirts to the UK. Obviously frustrated my step dad goes back into this place to see if he can get some kind of refund or an explanation for the price difference. This is when he is first told about how they only use priority Mail. I find this to be incredibly unsavory business practices, especially since the man behind the counter KNEW it was priority Mail and CHOSE not to say anything. Don't go to this place unless you want to be lied to about the real cost of shipping. read more

Michael is great! One of the most friendliest and professional people I have dealt with in long time. Had a small issue with UPS and Michael handled it right away. Thank you for great customer service. read more

I didn't realize what a gem this place was until I had a bad mailbox rental. The owner is great, friendly, and knows you on a name basis. I stopped going here once I moved for work, but the service is excellent and probably the best mailbox rental in Beverly Hills and that I have had in experience. When I stopped my service I still had mail sent here and he gave me my mail for free. Swell guy, convenient mailbox. read more

Wonderful Customer Service. Michael is incredibly helpful and nice. If he doesn't have it, he gets it. If he doesn't know something, he finds out. A real gem! read more
