I explained that I was a huge Audie Murphy fan and just had to check this place out after reading about it online. He immediately lit up and said, "Well, now, because of that, I will personally give you a tour and the backstory on how this all came about!" He introduced himself as Chet and spent a good part of an hour telling my friend and I how he and Tom built this place with discarded material from Audie Murphy's own ranch after the original structures were torn down. The full bar is a great highlight and they have a wide selection of beer and wine. My times here have always been enjoyable and they have a well kept smoking patio and multiple tvs throughout the establishment. Her team offered to help our planner clean up, she graciously accepted and then we were told they did all of the cleanup and therefore they were keeping our deposit. We were also told that we only purchased three drinks from the bar and they were forced to have a bartender there even though we did not ask for one. Make sure you read your contract and make sure that you take pictures, and do not accept any of their help or they will keep your deposit.
