Had the Medium Pizza special, you pick 2 toppings, we got sausage and black olives, 2 salads and of course we got the raspberry with bread. All so good, would have liked a little more sausage. We also ordered a bottle of Flor di Vino Chianti, was good for the price. Gustavo is still the owner. Quite a few people came in for takeout and he knew their names, so must be regulars. Sometimes the shopping center parking is tough but there's a lot in the back, down the hill (entrance in the "V" of the shopping center) and walk back up the hill. Went for lunch on a weekday at 11:45 and sat inside--a few tables inside and a few outside but it seemed most orders were take out. We all had the personal size 8" pizzas. My daughters and I LOVE this place. It is where we go for "girl time" to celebrate small wins, or to have chats, and sometimes we bring Grandma along! It's so cozy. The service is great! Nucci's is my new favorite pizza place in SLO. It is easy to park and is in a very convenient location. I have been to this place many times since my first visit. I highly recommend the lunch menu. Especially, the half size sandwich with a salad (No. 5, No.6, and No. 7. ) I also suggest trying the Raspberry Salad ( slices of apple, glazed walnuts, chunks of blue cheese & housemade raspberry dressing ). We have been coming here for quite awhile and it's always consistently great. we went today and was surprised we were the only ones in there but we were there around 3:30 and that's after their lunch rush. The owner has always been so professional and so polite.Our favorite is the raspberry salad and their wonderful breadsticks. My hubby and me always look forward to stopping by every time we head to SLO. Locally owned places I try to support because we are a dying breed. I used to eat here often but yesterday changed that and I hope this review makes them correct things. I sat inside and watched the man behind the counter (owner or manager) take orders, touch money, credit cards, AND touch food (lettuce) without washing his hands or wearing gloves. I'm actually a little mad that we haven't eaten here sooner. This restaurant is hidden on Broad Street in a convenient little plaza. There are a few places to sit outside partially in front of a spa / massage place. The raspberry salad was so good, as was the poppyseed salad. Actually, pretty much any salad we've had here has been good (we've come a few times in the last couple weeks since we finally gave the place a shot). The salad that comes with the dinner-size options (for a few dollars more than the entree-only / a la carte option) is still a good size and worth getting, especially since you can pick any salad on their menu. I've had their combo #4 (slice of the day with salad) and I could honestly see myself just coming here to get that combo multiple times a week if I could. So far we've enjoyed the pizzas and salads more than any of the pastas we've gotten (cheese overload 2 out of 3 times) but they were still quite tasty. We will be back for sure. read more

I ordered a pizza and I live 30 minutes away. Called the restaurant and I told the owner it's not my pizza, he just said I'm sorry. Came back again recently to give it another chance. This time we were in front of the line to place our order there was three other people behind us. He was on the phone taking one to go orders one after another to go order. It's pretty obvious the phone orders are his priority than the customers waiting in line, most of those people have a time frame during lunch, but it's perfectly clear what his priorities are. What made the story a little funny, the couple behind us noticed that as well, they actually called in there phone order as they were standing behind us and he answered it, everyone in line was laughing as we were still waiting to put in our order. . I pretty much know what I'm ordering when we decide to eat here. I really enjoy their cheese pizza but we have also had their traditional veggie (my moms favorite), pepperoni, sausage and black olive.... all great. My two salads I LOVE are their raspberry, and Cesar chicken salad. It's really about the dressing. Their ranch is delicious as well. Tonight we ordered pick up and had chicken at home already bbq'd so we got the salad without chicken. Their breadsticks are AMAZING and you get one with a salad. (The ones in the pic are a little overcookedThey have some yummy black iced tea. The Parmesan chicken we tried a while back and will not be ordering it again. The broad street location is smaller so not great for large parties. I enjoy sitting out on their front patio area rather than sitting inside. When you arrive you grab a menu by their register, then a table, and once your narrowed your choices down you order at the register and they bring all your yummy food to you. Another visit this time we ate in and once again we were blown away. 2 salads & a 12" pizza two toppings 25$. Just had the most disappointing experience. Ordered a vegetarian pizza for pickup. Got home and realized that not only was it the wrong pizza, it was a meat pizza... I called to explain the mixup and they kept suggesting that I could just 'keep it'. (Would I have really made the effort to call if I wanted to keep it?) If I didn't want to keep it, my other option was to wait 45 minutes (as they were really busy) and come back to pick it up. No offer of a refund, or even to deliver the correct pizza, I would have to come pick it up after my 45 min wait. They were 'really sorry' but couldn't have sounded more indifferent. Really poor service and also frustrating they simply did not care about ruining someone's dinner. read more
