Chicken parm Caesar salad
Tyler W.

Welcoming and calm atmosphere. Waiter was friendly and professional. Caesar salad was well balanced and dressed well. Serving of chicken Parmesan was slightly small but it was also an app so understandable. Pizza was a nice size for one person.

Nucci's is my new favorite pizza place in SLO. It is easy to park and is in a very convenient location. I have been to this place many times since my first visit. I highly recommend the lunch menu. Especially, the half size sandwich with a salad (No. 5, No.6, and No. 7. ) I also suggest trying the Raspberry Salad ( slices of apple, glazed walnuts, chunks of blue cheese & housemade raspberry dressing ). My husband likes the pizza the best. It was very delicious and has high-quality toppings with the chewy texture of cheese bread. The medium size is big enough for two adults.

I've been going to Nuccis since I was very young, and it's always been consistently great. Definitely recommend the cheese pizza and raspberry salad, both classics.

After a few recommendations from family and friends we tried Nucci's. Whoa...so good, fresh, flavorful, and less than two blocks from our house. I'm certain to put on a few pounds if I'm not careful. Loved the Thai and Nucci's, both amazing. The crust, as many others have said is amazing. Can't wait to work this off on the Peloton so I can have more

Parking is pretty bad especially during peak hours so expect to circle around multiple times or find street parking elsewhere. We ordered: -Bee Stang, Detroit style (5/5): Despite the name the honey wasn't too pronounced - it was mainly the spice. This is a pretty garlicky pizza and the ricotta texture and taste was on point. The thick and crispy crust of the style was also a standout for us. This was my favorite of the 2. - Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza, Neapolitan style (4/5): My bf's favorite pizza of the 2. Love the thin crust and flavor which was distinctly meaty with tomato sauce to cut through. It could have used more toppings for the price and it was also slightly burnt on the edges of some of the crust so we couldn't enjoy it fully. Also the slices weren't evenly cut through but luckily it was easy to split it apart. Overall very enjoyable meal and a nice date night vibe inside. Would definitely come back if we're in the area.

Helpful staff guided us with their patron favs. Started with: 1) meatballs: flavorful & tender (probably added panade). Marinara nicely balanced. Pistachio pesto added a nice nutty accent. Great dish. 2) mixed berry salad: spring salad greens with plump fresh berries. Pinkish berry vinaigrette was nice. Tasted similar to a 1,000 isle type dressing. 3) three pea pizza: buddy doesn't like goat cheese so ordered it on the side. Crust was great, veggies fresh & colorful. It really needs the goat cheese though. Otherwise it lacks dimension. I was able to sprinkle on my pieces. Made a world of difference. 4) bee stang: crust had crisp edges. Middle got a bit soggy from toppings. My NYC buddy loved the ability to fold it in half though. Great overall flavor. The hot honey added just the right amount of tang/tart. Tasted as good as it looked.

And we did just that for our wedding anniversary. Flour EXCEEDED our expectations and more!! OMG it truly was THE BEST Italian meal we've had since our trip to Italy! We also had the pizza special of the night which had mortadella. MORTADELLA is our favorite!!!! The pizza was so light and airy we could've easily had a pizza to ourselves. ORDER the pizza!! We originally we going to do separate entrees but decided to share the Mezzi. OMG it blew us away! The flavor of the meat sauce is so delicious! You can taste an onion base and you'll want to eat a bowl of it! The past noodles were big and held the sauce so well. Everything about this entrée was above and beyond our expectation! I ate this less than 24 hours ago and I'm still talking about how amazing the dish was. Thank you for the most incredible meal of our lives! SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA…read more Another local staple of SLO. Woodstock's often has a big line out the door. We were lucky to get here first and put in our order because as soon as we did--boom! A huge line formed behind us. As a first-timer at Woodstock's, it can be a little confusing, but I quickly found out this is an order-at-the-counter establishment. Menus are hanging from the ceiling, but you can also find printed versions on the counter. No parking avail. This is a metered street. Parking structures a few blocks away. Not a far walk. Of course, the main thing is to try their pizzas. Service was fast and pleasant--not overly friendly, but efficient. The cashier was patient and mentioned her favorite was the "Sizzling Carnitas" pizza, while my wife picked "The Bomb." They offer different sizes; we ordered the 12-inch (8 slices), which we thought was perfect for two people. However, if you want leftovers, I would recommend ordering the next size up. The cashier gave us a buzzer and mentioned a 25-minute cook time, which was considerate, but the food actually arrived much quicker than that. Prices are a little on the high side, but we found the pizza very good, so it was totally worth the expense. It's pricey, but if the quality is there, it's worth it. The Bomb: We thought both the dough and the tomato sauce could have been more flavorful, but the overall taste was still very good. The veggies were roasted well and the sausage was tasty, though there could have been more of it. The dough is on the thinner side, which I prefer. Overall: 4/5 stars. Sizzling Carnitas: The meat amount was great and very tasty. The sauce was excellent, and the cheese was plentiful and flavorful. Overall: 5/5 stars. Service was pleasant and straightforward. In busy periods, wait times may change, but so far, this is our favorite pizza in SLO! Casual spot, chill vibes, pricey. Service could be a hit or miss. Great food options. We will be back again. Thank You :)

The only thing holding me back lately is the parking, but there were free parking days in the pre-and post Christmas season. I've eaten artichokes all up and down the California coast, and once had only a bushel of artichokes as snacks on a summer vacation! I am an artichoke fiend and love them in all their tantalizing incarnations! What's so good about this one? The savory puddle of butter mixed with parmesan cheese that blesses the top and bestows flavor combined with the tang of the grill! You can add a spritz of lemon and experience artichoke nirvana! We started with their take on chips and salsa, House Chips (whole fried mini tortillas) and the Grilled Artichoke - and let me tell you, it was fantastic! For dinner I had the Top Sirloin (perfectly cooked) and Chopped Salad and the husband had the Ahi Tuna Sashimi. After dinner we enjoyed their popular Lemon Cheesecake. HIGHLY recommend ordering this dessert. As for our cocktails, my husband ordered the Mendoza Marg and very much enjoyed it. I first requested a glass of Moscato (which they don't have), so then I requested a cocktail with Malibu and to my surprise they don't carry Malibu. I asked if they can make a fruity cocktail with a rum close to Malibu, which they did, however it was not the flavor profile I was looking for (pretty bland). Our service (once seated at our table) did not start out that great. The server seemed a bit annoyed with my cocktail questions and requests and he also seemed as though he had better places to be than our table...until he found out (via night manager) who my husband was in relation to Hotel SLO. It shouldn't take name/position dropping to have your server treat you well, every customer should feel VIP. Our next venture will be trying their breakfast.

I asked the front desk for their recommendations, and of course they recommended a place next door and while it was fancy with an elaborate menu, my low blood sugar state was craving some serious high calories so I opted for Gino's as it was also very close to my hotel. When I entered the place, I was the only customer there. I wanted to order the lasagna, but the nice young lady taking my order mentioned it would take some time to prepare, so I asked what she suggests something big and won't take long to make and it was classic spaghetti & meatballs, so I ordered that. Five minutes after sitting down, the young lady brought me a huge Cesar's salad. I'm not a big salad guy, but this was delicious! The lettuce was very fresh and the sauce and croutons were surprising very tasty. It was so good, I had to compliment her for making such a nice salad. A few minutes later a good size plate of spaghetti & meatballs arrived and two large pieces of garlic bread. Everything was satisfyingly good. I dined on this feast for 45 minutes and made the short walk back to the hotel feeling great. It was so good, I went again the next day and tried the lasagna. That too was good sized and very delicious. Next time I'm in SLO, I'll definitely come back again.

We ended up pre-ordering online the night before and we got the Loaded Veg pizza. All they sell are whole 16" pies, which I don't mind since Pizza is my 3rd favorite food (behind sushi and Japanese bbq). I don't usually get veggie pizzas for 2 reasons. First of all, I love meat. Second, vegetables on pizza usually are mushy and don't taste fresh. I got it because my gf is pescatarian so it seemed like a good choice for both of us to share. I've had pizza at several notable places (thinking of Ceres NYC, Pizzeria Sei LA, Quarter Sheets LA, etc.). They brought the pizza box out to me, and I took a glance inside and knew I was about to feast. I didn't want to wait to get back to the hotel so my gf and I just sat in my trunk and ate it. There are very few restaurants where the first bite of food takes my breath away. I sat there in silence and proceeded to finish the whole slice in a matter of seconds while my gf and I just nodded with major satisfaction at one another. The dough was incredible (light, thin, crispy). The sauce and cheese ratio was perfect, not too overpowering, not too much, just the right amount as a base and glue to hold the toppings in place. The toppings (the veg), were fresh, vibrant, flavorful, purposeful. Everything was exploding with flavor, it was so simple, but so incredible. I wanted to run back inside and order another pizza but they were closing and I felt bad. We got a side of vegan ranch, it had fresh herbs and tasted so creamy, thick, and tangy despite being vegan. We demolished that pizza and the only thought I kept having was how much I wanted another one. The store is super cool, great music, cool lighting and vibes. The people are super polite, friendly, and professional. It legit felt like every single person in that place was happy to be there. More importantly, I think they were so passionate and saw their pizza creations as art. I would dream and aspire to have a place like this myself one day. I'm so sad this is so far away from OC (where I'm visiting from) because I genuinely want to eat this every week. I'll just have to drive up lol. Cheers to the team here, incredible work. You made my day. You gave me the opportunity to try the best thin slice pizza of my life thus far.
