Chris assisted us with our luggage. Dana fixed wonderful breakfasts and accommodated my food sensitivities. We enjoyed it so much that we booked an additional night at the end of our trip before flying out of Grand Rapids the following day. The home has very nice common areas and both rooms we stayed in were clean and had amenities like refrigerators, microwaves and keurig machines. There is good off-street parking in back of the home. They were both helpful in answering our travel questions as well. We would love to stay here again on our next visit!

The temperature of the room was easy to adjust. There was a Krups machine, microwave and mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was served in the elegant dining room. The food was fresh and delicious. We had four breakfasts at the Inn and all were different. Dana and Chris were attentive hosts. The house sits on a large piece of property and the garden and grounds are lovely. It was quiet at night. I recommend a stay if you are in Kalamazoo for a night or two.

There were a variety of DVDs and games to keep the kids and grandma happy while we were out brewery hopping. The patio was lovely. The beds were so comfortable and a lovely breeze kept us comfortable all night. Loved the fully stocked fridge for our family breakfast. I woke up to the smell of sausage! We are returning next summer, as our kids want to return to AirZoo. This will be our choice for lodging....and maybe for two nights next time!

Beware! We attempted to stay here for our anniversary weekend last month. A week before our stay, we received another email letting us know that she had ants. Yuck. After that email, we called to request a cancellation in which Kara hung up on us. Hm. We contacted the third-party that we booked our reservation to help us cancel, but were informed that only Kara could cancel and she was refusing to do so. After contacting her again and trying to cancel, she hung up on us again and told us were were silly to be worrying about ants. We couldn't believe that we still had to stay here, but didn't want to forfeit our $450 for the weekend and felt obliged to stay there. When we showed up to check in, the door was locked. Strange, but OK since it's a small place. After knocking for a few minutes, we called Kara several times to no answer. We then texted her, and nothing. After waiting for almost an hour in the rain, we decided to call our credit card company to dispute the charge, then booked at another hotel in the same area. Thankfully, our credit card company refunded the charge but warning to other travelers- find somewhere else!

This was my first stay here in about 10 years and I was so happy to be back. It keeps getting better and better! I love the decor. Everything feels warm, welcoming, and so nice! It has everything I could need and want. Inside the hotel, there is access to fantastic bars and restaurants, coffee, convenience store for essentials, and so much more. Burdick's is a great sports bar. Lobby Bar serves tasty cocktails and small bites, such a charcuterie. Brick & Brine is amazing and serves elevated and innovative dishes. There is a Starbucks in the lobby too, as well as a convenience store where you can pick up snacks, toiletries, and more. I was very grateful because I had forgotten my allergy meds and they had some there. The rooms are excellent. Modern and pristine. Very comfortable and spacious. I appreciate having a large TV, safe, fridge, desk, and a separate seating area with a chair and table. I really like the walk-in shower with the rainfall shower head. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided are really nice quality. I also really appreciated the makeup remover pads that were provided too. Worked so well! The lobby is beautiful and very spacious too, with plenty of comfy seating areas. Great location in downtown Kalamazoo. An easy walk from the train station. I found it was quite walkable to many things. Friendly and wonderful staff. Everyone is very kind and helpful. A special thank you to Richie at the front desk. Excellent communication during my stay. Housekeeping and front desk staff were polite and helpful. I often saw housekeeping cleaning around the hotel, from restrooms to even signs. I appreciate that the hotel appeared clean and well-maintained. My room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small and a bit cramped, but it was fine for just me. Guests can conveniently park in the parking garage located across the street, which is connected to the hotel by a skywalk. You can use your hotel key to enter and exit the parking garage. Additionally, there is a box for dropping off your keys upon departure from the parking garage. It is expensive unless you get a group rate discount. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and thought the facilities were good for a conference, the staff were professional, and the location was great. It is an ideal location for anyone visiting Kalamazoo.

The trails and river/lake in this park are beautiful and well maintained and they offer all levels of mountain biking. Again I usually go in the winter and my group is the only one here and it is just an amazing time to be able to walk the trails and park and take it all in undisturbed by others. Rockey's is the very definition of "family campground." It's a place where people bring their kids…read moreand pets to relax, play in the water, and sit by the campfire. Lots of, possibly the majority of, people here are on seasonal sites, and some make these these quite homey, with screened porches, hedges, light displays and statuary. Campers are packed pretty tightly together, but if you came here you probably weren't looking for solitude. Though there were a lot of people here, it was quiet overall. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Other campers were pretty friendly too. The firewood we got was dry and easy to burn. We appreciated the cleanliness. The grounds were well maintained, and bathrooms and showers were kept very clean. Plenty of hot water in the showers, though water pressure gets weak if more than one person is showering at the same time. If you don't feel like walking all the way to the modern bathhouse, there are outhouses scattered through the campground, though I'd recommend just walking to the bathhouse. Rockey's is situated on a chain of small lakes, and there are some decent fish to be found in these. There's a concrete boat launch, as well as fishing boats and canoes for rent. When I was unloading my kayak by the boat launch, one of the owners said it was no problem for me to leave it on the lawn by the launch, and that I could safely leave all my gear by it with no worries. He as right. We were tent camping, which I think few people do there, and this did present some inconveniences. Some of the sites have few trees...like ours, and a little protection from the sun would have been nice. A lack of trees also left us with no place to string up our clothesline. There are streetlights along the campground lanes, which are handy for walking to the bathhouse after dark, but make your tent very bright at night. Rockey's doesn't cater to tenters, but some do come there, and for them it will be less than ideal. But for others it should be more than satisfactory,

I was lucky enough to be able to book The Loft for my recent visit to the Hastings area. I was…read moreblown away with the comfort and style of the suite. From the almost two feet thick mattress to the unique accessories arranged throughout (and all available in the store downstairs!) this place is a winner! The Loft is very "urban chic." There are three other suites which consist of a "girly" suite called The Terrace, which has very feminine roses and pink/green motifs, then there is the Spa Suite which is small with a shower to die for.....and the final Suite is a one bedroom called The Manor which is very English Manor house in design. The uniqueness of each room means each stay could be different! Hastings is better for having this choice, believe me! The only downside is the trek up the stairs (no elevator) but for this area of the world it is the ONLY choice in my book! This extended stay set of suites sits atop a retail gift store by the same name.... I also shopped in the store for a wicked cool "hand" to hold my jewelry! I wish I could have boxed the whole store up and brought it back to Phoenix! Prices are very reasonable and the eclectic selection very well displayed! All around WIN!
