Driving past on I-94, this small park flashes by so on my next round trip through the area, I took a slightly longer route through Battle Creek to find it. Aside from being a regular park with a nice river view, this is also an open air BRIDGE MUSEUM. I mean, seriously. They have a handful of full-sized bridges here. I've never been to a bridge museum park before. How cool is that?
There's a canoe / kayak launch if you're into being on the water of the Kalamazoo River. Also, a permanent structure with bathrooms, plenty of parking, a picnic pavilion and playground. And the North Country Trail passes through for the hikers.
And then there are five metal truss bridges and a stone arch bridge set up here for your viewing and photographing pleasure. If bridges are your hobby, then a stop by here will be more than worthwhile.
