It was awful and not safe, so we asked for our money back. We were told only $100 would be refunded because of fees and they had to turn people away. That's not true because we saw people on the same boat we had rented at 8:00am. On Sunday after we had cleaned the bunkhouse and did everything on the list posted on the wall, we took the key back to the office and asked for the key deposit back which was $50. We were told to wait while a lady went to check the bunkhouse we had stayed in. We were kept waiting for 20 minutes and when she returned she told us we would not be getting our key deposit back because there was food on the walls and we didn't wipe things down. Nothing could be further from the truth! So I would like to warn anyone that is thinking about staying in one of the bunkhouses....DONT! You won't get your money back because they are running a scam.

Becky is so sweet and treats everyone like family…read more Watching her hang out with her alpacas and getting to meet Bacchus, the resident dog, was a treat! We spent the first morning there just taking photos of the incredible property and antiques! We were a five minute drive from Diamond Lake and spent the day kayaking. That night we made popcorn and watched a movie in the barn. There is a projector so it was like a private theater complete with a big antique couch to snuggle on! Our bedroom was so comfy and the down blankets felt like the best thing ever after our long afternoon on the water! In the morning, I took a bubble bath while my husband cooked a delicious frittata with farm fresh eggs and peppers right from Becky's garden! Talk about a killer breakfast! After breakfast, we drove up to Warren Dunes and spent the afternoon climbing Tower Hill and swimming. We hit up several fun antique shops on the way back, and stopped into Vaselyks to pick up some smoked pork chops that we cooked up over the fire! We made smores for dessert and laid out under the stars. Becky even made us some chocolate chip cookies from scratch that we nibbled on! I can't tell you how great it was to reconnect with nature and enjoy such a fabulous romantic weekend in the country!

So many beds, couches, bathrooms, bars, pool table and the highlight of the house was of course the amazing pool area! The pool is huge, there's a large speaker, and a hot tub too! I slept in the basement (which had an unpleasant sewage smell) bedroom with my husband. The writing in this house is very old and many of the lights and swishes are not functional. We noticed several smoke detectors on top of the refrigerator without batteries...scary because a house of this vintage is at a bigger fire risk in my opinion. Some of the beds where full of hair and sand. Bathrooms and showers where clean. The pool is older but clean and was a big hit! The owner was responsive to our concerns and refunded some of our $ but asked us not to post a review. This house is not a good choice for groups with small children.
