I would not recommend their mozzarella sticks. The store was beyond overpriced ($4.99 for marshmallows that are so old you can tell through the bag that they are stale), and the staff was not very friendly compared to other KOA's and they were especially not helpful. (When I asked for recommendations of places to go for hikes/walks in nature nearby I was told to Google it.) If you want to have a camping experience in nature, you will be disappointed in this campground. If you want a cheap alternative place to sleep when you are visiting South Bend, maybe you will be satisfied. But please note that they felt it necessary to implement a key card system to even get into the campground. So I wouldn't feel comfortable tent camping here. (Someone with mal intent could just drive up to the campground and then get out of their car and walk into the campground. )

We had planned to stay for 5 days, but after encountering the rude staff, the dirtiest pool we have ever seen and basically nothing being open, we left the next day. Do not recommend!

We stayed at this campsite the end of August 2022 with a 30' 5th wheel…read more Pros: Check in was online, quick, and same day which was awesome after we had gone to another campground in town the night before and were less than happy to return to them. Staff was nice and efficient getting us in. Gorgeous mature trees throughout the park. There were nice groomed walking trails and a cute little dog run with waste bags. The staff was pleasant (although my partner got in trouble for bringing outside wood which is apparently a big no-no) and stayed and chatted awhile which was also nice. They guided us to our site and helped to make adjustments for the length of our camper immediately when we didn't fit in the original site. Cons: As sated, no outside wood or firewood has to be purchased from the campground store. The signage for the entry to the park were not easily seen. The park is almost right in the same area as a business park which was really confusing getting in there. We would have loved to have stayed a few days longer, but had to get on the road. We would recommend to anyone again!!!

I was told the office was open until 8 pm. Luckily we arrived around 5pm and was able to talk to the staff, which were unfriendly. They were about to leave at 5 ish. Luckily this was a one nighter for us. I would not recommend this because of the upcharge of $20, oh not to mention the 9 pages rules that they want you to sign off. Not a good vibe, guys!

It's not that close to the lake but they have a pool and hot tub. It's a lot of big rigs but they allow some of slummers lol but your camper must be 10 yrs old or less and the older ones must send a picture to be approved Nice big lots and cement pads Fire pits are slightly behind your spot and lots of room. They do have permanent sites and they have their own pool and clubhouse. They pick up your garbage every morning. On weekends they sometimes have music and food that you have to pre order. We did not par take. EVERYONE was so nice and friendly. EXCEPT FOR THE OLD GUY THAT GOT OUT OF THE POOL TO CLIP HIS TOE NAILS AND LEFT THEM NEXT TO HIS CHAIR AT THE POOL‍ Lots of dogs which I loved! So hands down we had the WORST EXPERIENCE trying to stay some where else today, a place we booked months in advance when planning this trip. So rather than beat ourselves, our camper, and truck into submission we called it a day and left. I called Jellystone it was less than 10 miles away, and they had openings. So I walked in the door and must have been a delightful hot mess, I think the very sweet woman behind the counter took massive pity on me and I am GRATEFUL!!!! She tried to give us the best site in the place, but when I advised we didn't have kids, she totally heard my brain and was like let me get you to a more quiet area of the park. With staff like this its easy to see why people come here and choose to come back. We are only here for a night but for the money and btw was completely reasonable you GET OH SO MUCH!!! This place is very resort like and I'm sure by design. If you have kids I don't think you can go wrong with Jellystone. We didn't use the facilities or playgrounds or pools but this place is not lacking entertainment for everyone of every age. And most people seem pretty respectful of quiet hours. I will say that the only mildly bad was the sites seem pretty stacked on one another : ( The sweet lady from the front desk knew me so well that she even came and checked on us and let me play with her therapy pup when she came back after work to walk her dog. That is what you call SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
