My son recently visited this Nu‑Way and was literally overjoyed by how kind everyone was--along with the delicious food, of course. He even called me while he was there, and I could hear the warmth coming through the phone. Employee Lisha was absolutely fabulous, and my son was right--she really was "so nice." I cannot believe this is the first time I have been to Nu-Way. Well, I do not go to Macon much anymore but in years past I have been here plenty. I have heard of Nu-Way for years so headed in for The Black Crowes concert gave us the opportunity to visit. The restaurant itself is old school diner style. There are plenty of old photos, drawings, and advertising on the walls. But this is real and legit old decor, not new faux nostalgia BS like you see at some places. The women running the show at the counter were friendly and all business. They got our orders quickly. I don't have a photo of it but I recall that Coke came in a gallon size styrofoam cup. The chili dogs were excellent. I would have loved to eat a couple more they were so good. Fries, well I missed out on a photo because I ate them, so they must have rocked. I would like to go to the Air Force museum again, so maybe I will be headed this way again soon. If so, I am going to Nu-Way for more dogs and this time a burger too! read more

Went in today and all men were working. The lady's are always great when I stop there as I am traveling thru the area from Augusta. So the saying is true. I will go a long way for a Nu way. The service today was excellent and the Nu ways were delicious as always. 96 on health inspection is not to shabby for one of the oldest locations. Keep up the fantastic job guys. read more

For National Hot Dog Day (7/17/2024) I just had to re-live the nostalgia that is Nu-Way Weiners. And to top it off, it was a Wednesday so that means if you order a Combo # 2, you automatically get 3 for the same price. Believe me when I say they aren't pretty, but they are pretty darn good! Everything was exactly as I remembered....good dog piled high with chili & onions, and a slice of cheese and a shot of mustard on the bottom. My ONLY complaint was that I had to try not to get chili on my yellow shirt....but, that's a "me" problem. lol! The tots were hot, so no complaints with those at all. The price for a Combo # 2 was only about $11.50, so the price was pretty good. read more

took 15 minutes at drive thru, once I did get the food, I didn't get what I ordered. the clerk apologized for the delay and said "but it is fresh". The buns were so old they were falling apart, the fries were cold and tough, you could hardly see the chili on the hot dogs which were also cold.. I wouldn't recommend the Watson Blvd location in Warner Robins to anyone. I also didn't get a receipt. I grew up eating Nu way in Macon, but this location is not a good representative of what I grew up knowing. read more

Nu-Way Weiners has been serving the Macon, Georgia area for over one hundred years. They have since expanded beyond the Macon, Georgia area and I am in the firm belief that this is definitely great news for the areas that this over hundred-year-old iconic restaurant moves into. The menu at Nu-Way Weiner is far superior to the subpar food found at the national fast food burger chains. The hot dogs are a bit on the smallish side, but at just over two dollars for a hot dog, you can get multiple hot dogs (the same can be said for their burgers). This local chain is nothing fancy, but neither are hot dogs and hamburgers. They are simple food and perhaps that's what makes these simple foods so appealing. This food is unpretentious and truly warms the soul. I would definitely recommend Nu-Way Weiners. A business that's been around since 1915 is obviously doing something right and once you try their hot dogs and burgers, you will see what they are doing right. read more

Garbage, just garbage. Cheap red hot dogs, bland chili and grease. Just lick the bottom of your shoes, there will be more flavor there.

Fantastic place! Food was great and the lady at the window was very nice. We had a hamburger combo with chocolate malt, cheeseburger combo with chocolate malt, and hot dog (all the way) combo with chocolate malt. It was all delicious and fresh! There were four cars in front of us and behind us so it is a busy place but they kept the line moving. We waited less than 15 minutes. I was impressed with the overall experience and can't wait to go back! read more

I love Nu Way, the Greek chili is wonderful but I'm really sad they now close at 6pm, makes it hard to get to them for dinner, we arrived at 5:45on and were told sorry we're closed. Seems this may be another restaurant that won't be around much longer. Please don't take my Nu-Way away! Over 100 years and still going please don't kill those Greek boys dream! read more

Never again. I'm a hot dog fan but I'm not sure what I just ate. Never had a hotdog that disgusting and they say that was chili on top but I would beg to differ. Could have done better with a pack of ballparks and a can of hormel at home. read more

Not good. I'm from up north and was craving a good hot dog. I go in there and try to order a hotdog with sauerkraut. The guy looked at me like I was nuts. He had no idea what sauerkraut was. Kept asking me if it was coleslaw or something. I get it I should have looked at the menu but I'm used to all hot dog places having it. When it came to the hotdog it was red. Like neon red and tasted gross. The chili on it was out of a can. Like the other reviewer you are better off getting a package of good hot dogs and chili at the grocery store. read more

For everyone who hates NuWay, I disagree. I grew up in Macon and visit once every few years and it's amazing to be able to eat a nuway Weiner every time I do. It's a southern comfort and Nu-Way has a particular hot dog that you can't get in the north. I honestly couldn't care less what ingredients they use for their chili and etc because it passes health code and I grew up with it so.... I think NuWay is a good place to go when visiting and wanting to taste southern culture. read more
