Came in early on a Saturday for 3 pedicures. My daughter's and I were greeted by friendly staff. The chairs were comfortable and all of the massage features were working (been places you pay the same and the massage doesn't work). All three of us had our own sweet technician that used timers for the sugar massages, and did a beautiful job on our toes. I felt like I was doing a much needed tire change on our cars....I had not been to a salon in years and my girls never had been....time for some professional maintenance. We plan to go back again when our dogs are barking. There are A LOT of negative reviews BUT I think it's one of those things where you have to try for yourself. I haven't been here in a couple of years and was gifted a gift certificate, so I used it to get a pedicure, and I had such a relaxing time. I ended up paying $48 for a gel polish pedicure. With 6 min worth of a leg massage. First of all, the young receptionist was very friendly and attentive. I went on a Wednesday right at 9am, when they open, and there were already quite a few people but I did not have to wait to be seated at a station. This receptionist even went around asking the customers if they were doing ok. She was great. I wish I got the name of the lady who did my pedicure. She was gentle, took her time, made sure I was relaxed and was very kind. Made the whole experience calming and relaxing. I would definitely go back just to have her give me a pedicure again. Nails are way over priced for the red VERY short nails however when I entered I asked them how much for a nail set they mentioned 45 so I picked the nails I wanted which were medium almond nails with one simple color and the guy (Tony) said he charges 60 for those I told him never mind since I always get my nails done with someone else in a different place n they don't charge me 60 bucks for some short almond simple nails. If you can put up with the staff talking to each other in a foreign language while working, and having a therapist with an attitude, you can begin to like this place. I also had to wait (30 minutes the first time) before they start. I have still to go to a nail salon that does not have these nuances, in one form or another. NT Nails has a huge clientele and the place is always crowded ....is it possible they are doing something right? I came to this place for a basic pedicure ($28) and callus removal ($10 extra). What impressed me was that they do not hurry and take time doing their assignment. Callus removal can be rough (at other places I have visited), especially with the tools they use. Here they had small pumice pads which they used to gently work on your feet. When I reached home that evening and examined my feet, I noticed that they had not done a complete job with callus removal. So I called NT Nails to explain. The manager invited me to come in the next day so that they can redo the callus removal. During my second visit, they went through the whole process patiently (albeit with an attitude), and did a super job (including another massage), for no charge. This is what makes a place noteworthy. First off, the lady kept arguing with me and saying they don't do regular nail polish for manicures, just gel. What nail salon is like that?! She kept pushing me to do gel (which is already not classy) and I had to keep repeating no. I really didn't want gel so I did a manicure with no polish (same price which is a rip off). While the woman was doing my manicure, I leaned over to see if I liked the shape of my nails and she stopped working and in the most exasperated tone said "WHAT?!". I was shocked. And the shape of my nail is still bad. After her rude flare up, I knew she was a lost cause. If I'm going to pay $30 for a pedicure, they should make sure everything about it is quality. During my pedicure massage yesterday, the woman only put lotion on one of my legs and didn't realize it because she was zoning out. So one of my legs was completely dry and the other was moisturized. It's also not a very sanitary place. Barely any of the workers wear their masks over their nose and they do not enforce their customers to wear masks (even though it is currently a mandated law and they have a sign that says "they enforce masks") or check for proof of vaccination. Two women walked in without masks yesterday and staff didn't say anything. Also, one of their workers had a coughing fit yesterday and wasn't wearing a mask. I understand the political nuances behind the mask, but if it's the law, it should be enforced, especially since other people can be uncomfortable. AND IT'S NOT SANITARY!! The woman who did my services wore a green bracelet, is middle aged, and has a short bob haircut with bangs that's brown in color. Honestly save your money and go to Tulare or Visalia instead. I believe it to be VERY rude when you are sitting there getting your nails done and the manicurist begins to speak to another manicurist who is across the other side of the salon in another language. NOT English. plus, they laugh every so often while they're talking. And this goes on throughout the whole time you're in there. First of all your business is in America, therefore, try to make your clients feel welcome and appreciated. Not uncomfortable, believing you might be talking about them. 2. The manicurists don't greet you with a very good vibe and never give you eye contact. It almost feels like you just walked into a herd of cattle waiting to get branded. And the branders could care less what you'll be going through. 3. They charge WAY TOO MUCH and in this case dishonestly, I witnessed a lady asking one manicurist what her charges were after she was done with her nails and the manicurist said $52. The lady didn't understand what she said therefore, she asked her again. However, this time when the manicurist answered her, she said to the lady it was $55. I shook my head side to side for the manicurist to see that I heard what she told the lady the first time but the Manicurist could care-less. Plus the lady tipped her $4.00 on top of that. Mean what you say, and say what you mean! 4. I believe when I tip a manicurist is because she/he is polite, respectful, and treats me with dignity and of course they do a great job. I refuse to tip any manicurist who makes me feel uncomfortable in any way, shape, or form as a paying customer in their place of business. Plus I don't like being asked by the manicurist if I want to leave her a tip. If she/he isn't embarrassed to ask me for a tip, then I'm not embarrassed to say...NO. In my opinion, A tip should always be given to someone you the customer feels they deserve it. Not to someone who asks for one especially when they damn well know they don't deserve it. 5. If the salon owner cared about his clients, by now things should have been different in his place of business. However, the last negative review posted for this business was in June 2021, yet here we are on September 17, 2021, and another negative review will be posted up by me. ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS... 6. Your customers are the most integral part of your business, and they come before products or profit. Treat them like they are the center of your world -- because they are. 7. Not taking responsibility for your mistakes is a sure-fire way to getting a bad reputation. Transparency is important in business and customer service is no different. Always strive for a high-quality output as it shows you have a high level of standards. 8. A satisfied customer tells at least three friends (whereas an angry customer tells 3,000!) 9.
