Thomas Point Park in Annapolis is a county park that offers beautiful views of the Thomas Point Lighthouse, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the bay in general. There is a pavilion that can be rented and a day camping area but I believe what makes this park so popular in the summer months is that its a good fishing spot. As the name implies, the park is on a point of land that jets out into the bay offering great views of the water year round. From November through March visitors can drive into the park without paying a fee. But if you are wanting to drive into the park April though October then you need to obtain a permit and I think they can be a bit tricky to come by. Permits are sold at Quiet Waters Park and sold on a limited first come, first served basis. A limited number of daily permits are sold each morning and a total of 75 monthly permits are sold each month on the last Thursday of the prior month. So yeah, a little tricky but its understandable that admission to this small park, which is accessible through a residential neighborhood, needs to be limited.

We rented a home right on the Chesapeake and i couldn't find anywhere that would deliver kayaks and stand up paddle boards to me until i found Capital SUP. Kevin was terrific he drove up in a big van took out 3 beautiful clean colorful tandem kayaks and carried them far down to our dock with life jackets and paddles. We had so much fun in and out of the water with our families. ...and did I say the price was so much better than going anywhere and renting even for the day. Entry is well supervised and easy. We chose the Blue Moon kayaking tour. Loaded up at sunset with little lanterns, paddled along a tributary of the Severn River to admire the sky, trees, birds. sailboats, pleasant architecture of the residences on the banks. Quite serene but if you're expecting Nature Only, you'll be disappointed because it is surprisingly built up. Still we enjoyed it immensely bc we'd never seen this lifestyle before. Our guide was informative about the ecosystem and everyone got to enjoy the blue moonrise. Paddling back in the dark was fine. Loved rocking in the wake of a passing boat or two. Highly recommend.

My son surely enjoyed himself...he caught plenty of fish and learned a lot from the captain as far as fishing and the area we traveled. Justin and Jasmine made sure we stayed hydrated, and regularly brought us into the air conditioning to avoid overheating. They ensured our safety every moment we were there. The rope course was insanely fun, the giant swing and zip line were a blast and our favorite part was honestly the rock climbing! They'll make copies of anything in there for you. The bulletin board calendar with volunteer vacations also caught my eye. Now I just need a traveling partner and some time off from work.

I mean the amenities here are just everything I could want in a gym, plus they have so many programs and activities for families. Most places like this either have ridiculous membership fees or you have to live in the neighborhood. The staff has been both friendly and helpful when I've needed them, and i'm looking forward to purchasing a 1 year pass for my family sooner than later. On a slow day it's given us an escape from sitting around the house, or just going out to eat. My kids love the rock climbing here, and when the pools open in the summer it just adds even more ways to stay active. I havent even checked out any of the classes, rock wall climb or the basketball and pickleball courts, but this place has everything you can think of for working out at a price that does not disappoint. You can sign up for 30 days, 60 or 90 days, or they also have a one year membership if you desire. I am usually NOT a gym person because my past experiences with other gyms, were not so good and way overpriced. No one tries to push you into getting a year membership if you arent ready. The staff are able to answer any of your questions. they also have child care that is free (for up to 2 hours)
