I was stranded on the side of a busy road with a broken starter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think his name was Sam but he saved me and helped me with two tows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One to get my car off a street cleaning day and the next morning to get me to a Pep boys (recommended). My car battery died the day after I moved to LA. NS Towing showed up early (during rush hour) to jumpstart my car. I drove a block and the car died again -- NS Towing returned in less time than estimated and gave me another jumpstart so that we could park the car until the morning. Bright and early the next morning NS Towing returned early to tow my car to the dealership. Very friendly, helpful and punctual -- everything you could want from a towing service! read more

The owner, Andy, personally called me to discuss the situation. This time, he was very helpful and took the time to truly listen to my concerns. He gave me his word that he would help and, if necessary, would fix the window if I purchased the part. He even offered to pick me up and return my car once it was repaired. I genuinely appreciated being able to have a constructive conversation and work toward a solution. I respect that he took the initiative to call me back and try to make things right. However, in order to resolve the issue quickly, I decided to use a mechanic and paid $450.00 for the repair, plus a tip, totaling $475.00. I called Andy afterward to let him know he would not need to cover any damages since I had taken care of the repair myself. During that conversation, Andy informed me that I had likely been overcharged for the part by nearly $200.00. That information was honestly more devastating than the original issue with the window. To any women out there who may feel unsure about who to trust in situations like this -- I understand. It can be overwhelming. That said, I do want to acknowledge Andy's effort to make a bad situation right. I truly appreciated his willingness to step up and offer his time and help. I contacted the owner and he said that he gave me a verbal quote and then said he gave me better pads( which is not reflected on the invoice or told to me prior to the work was done) and then went back to he gave me a verbal quote for the difference in price. The verbal quote he told me he gave was not even the price he charged me. Overall the service was good and quick. The quoting and charging was my issue. I will take ownership that I didn't inspect the final invoice before paying but I still think that the business owner should have honored his original quote and if an upgraded part was used and was billed (according to the owner) then should be approved beforehand.
