Love this spot! It's hard for me to trust people with my eyebrows.. I've always preferred waxing, but my wax lady was always super busy, so I decided to give threading another chance. Honestly, I haven't looked back since! The ladies here are always beyond sweet and super friendly at both locations. They make me feel completely safe, which is huge when you're trusting someone with your eyebrows and we all know how much we love our eyebrows! This is genuinely a safe space, and I always leave feeling taken care of and looking my best. Plenty of parking and tons of seating inside! super convenient and comfortable! read more

The absolute worst threading buisness in San Diego. I am Still growing my eyebrows back after a woman here basically took them off and made them so thin Is as if she never threaded eyebrows before. I have real ptsd from it. I would say do not go here at all, you are just another quick payment. They do not actually care about the work they're doing. I wish I could give zero stars read more

Felt kinda rushed and the owner asks for tip on card which brings me to the thought.... Who asks for tip? Isnt that given out of the kindness of heart? High priced at 16$ out the door and left a 3 dollar cash tip coming back inside of the store which I planned to leave already... but please dont ask people for tip. They will give you a tip or tell you to charge tip to card. This second grouped message was in response to owner reply. Yeah I got no idea what you mean when you talk about this minimum charge. She or you told me the charge was 15 plus 1 because debit. Then asked for tip. This is not right. My scriptures say to give out of kindness of own heart not because I am asked by a person to tip. I returned and had a different servicer this time. My experience was totally different. She was very rough. I'm used to threading, but my eyes watered so much, and I left feeling a bad burning sensation. Turns out, I was cut multiple times under the brow/ on the eyelid (where it's most sensitive). Just be warned - your experience here will be based on who you get. I most likely will not return as I value a place with multiple capable professionals. read more

I went in and service was fast but the lady was harsh and did my eyebrows quick and left me scars on my eyebrow didn't notice till I was driving back home and saw blood on the sides of my eyebrows . Would not come back I usually don't come here but it was on the way back home and I decided to give it another try but idk I guess these lady's don't like to do the good work they bad done in the past . Quick! Affordable! On point! First time here and I called to see if they accept walk-ins yes they do! I usually wax but can't find a new technician to wax my eyebrows. Gave this place a shot because it's nearby and Sama was great! She kept asking if this was okay and made sure it meant my liking. She was super nice and fast and didn't hurt at all! This is my go to spot for my eyebrows. Used to spend lots of money at the benefit brow bar but after my sister recommended threading I knew I had to come here based on the reviews. I don't have a specific person that does my brows. In fact I just show up, and never had to wait. In minutes my brows are revived again! 3/5 stars just because they were quick and we came in 15 min before they closed. My eyebrows look nice and thick, but the woman that just did my eyebrows was a bit harsh and made my eyebrows bleed. She didn't even bother cleaning them up. Not worth it and not coming back next time. read more

Quick easy affordable What else is there to say? Got there around 10am on a Wednesday, one person in front of me. Waited less than 10 min, the.n got my eyebrows, upper lip, and chin threaded. I've been coming here for more than 6 years. I've always been within two of the females that work there. Today was my first encounter with the BIG girl with glasses that breathes so hard. I walked in and did not even receive a greeting. Just straight up told me to sit down. I asked her to cut a little bit more. She said no. And she did not even leave my eyebrows the same. I love coming here because they all do brows good and it barely hurts like other places. They are fast and there's hardly a wait in the mornings. They get busy in the afternoons. As a customer of many years I got the worst experience today. Don't go to the woman in the first chair by the window. She is an amateur that cannot even do a correct job on the brows. She rushed the process I was surprised how quick it went, once I got the mirror I saw the disaster she did on my brows. This has always been my go-to eyebrow place, but lately they have been doing their job very harshly. I got one or two very small cuts on my right eyebrow, which wasn't bad. But once they got to the left brow, this is how they left my eyebrow. I've never had it this bad before. Wish they weren't so rough. read more

It all depends on who does your eyebrows . The lady/ girl by the entrance ( window ) is fast but she's harsh ( she always makes my experience better painful ) and her job is okay . She took more hair off my left brow , and for 13 dollars . I think I'll save my money . Thank you . Just walked in and I'm fully vaccinated so I'm use to not wearing a mask for a little while now but I was told you need a mask if not they could not touch you. I totally understood and asked if they had any masks I could use or buy? They told me no, get out.. I've been going to NS Threading for a few years now, and I'm gonna keep it a buck with everyone: The threading service is great for the most part, but customer service isn't too good. There is a bit of attitude given when you request a specific person, and sometimes they will openly ask you for a tip. The prices also have slightly gone up compared to what they used to be 2 years ago. This isn't the greatest place, but it's decent enough. read more

I usually don't leave reviews but I've been to this place several of times, and the most recent times that I have gone (Twice) they have messed up my eyebrows. They always seem to have an attitude. Also their closing hours have changed and I wanted to go in and get my eyebrows done. I was walking in and the lady immediately tells me that they are closed with sass and me not knowing their hours changed and it still hasn't been updated on google/yelp. Don't really recommend. read more

This place is amazing. My eyebrows are always on point. Quick and easy. I have been coming here for years and they always do a great job cleaning and keeping my shape. Yesterday, I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows done, because it's been forever! Normally, I get them waxed, but I thought I'd give threading a try. So, I discovered this place on Google. I was so amazed, at how fast, quick, and efficient Taki was with my brows! Also, did I mention it's only $13.00?? This place is amazing! Way better than waxing, because now I think waxing is a rip off compared to threading, and there still is good quality work. I'll preface this by saying, my eyebrows aren't amazing to begin with but it's taken a LONG time to get them where they were. When I arrived, the salon was empty. Usually there's a line and I have to wait so I thought it was perfect timing. The open sign was on, but the worker seemed rushed during my service-- almost as if I had interrupted her break. I specifically asked for just a light clean-up around my brows, nothing dramatic. During the service, I noticed my left brow was hurting a lot more than the right. Sure enough, when I sat up and looked in the mirror, I realized she had taken off about two full rows of hair from my left brow, leaving it noticeably thinner than the other. After a minute or two of just staring at myself to make sure I wasn't crazy, I pointed out that they were uneven, she just giggled a little and said, "Yeah," without offering a real solution. Another customer actually came in, sat for a minute and eventually walked out while this was happening because it was so awkward and she heard what happened with my service . Instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, the worker stood there watching me and then tried to make me to sit back down so she could "even them out" -- which would have only made both brows thinner. I refused, because that's not what I asked for. By the time I went to the counter, I was so frustrated that I told her I wouldn't be paying for the service and left. Overall, the lack of professionalism, care, and accountability was extremely disappointing. I will not be returning.

I have thick brows that are easy to shape but this person who did mine -- Nahida, threaded my eyebrows too thin and uneven. Her hand also smelled of whatever food she was eating I'm guessing prior. I seriously didn't even want to comment about it but after my service and seeing how thin she did my eyebrows, I am so disappointed. The next day, I also woke up to wounds around my eyebrows :/ overall a bad experience. This was in the beginning of July. I went to a different salon for August and this lady, who saw me for the first time, also said whoever did my brows last made it too thin and unevenly shaped. Now I have to wait two months to grow it back. The salon is great, don't get me wrong. Almost always there is a line so it's not a quick visit. Price is pretty standard for SD. Just saying I hope this person does her job better.

I was seated quickly and the nail tech got started right away. She was nice and respectful, though noticeably slower than what I'm used to at my usual salon. That alone wasn't a dealbreaker for me -- I don't mind a longer appointment if the end result is worth it. Unfortunately, a few things fell short: - Product quality: The base gel and top coat were unbranded, and the bottles looked crusty with visible buildup around the openings. - Manicure quality:The cuticle and sidewall care seemed minimal to nonexistent -- the end result made it pretty clear this step was skipped or rushed. - Shape: I asked for almond-shaped nails but ended up with more of a squoval (square with rounded edges). - It's only been a week, and my nails already look like they're two weeks old. Given all of this, I won't be returning to this location.

If you thread your eyebrows here don't go with Nilo. I go here all the time usually with Sama but she wasn't working today. Nilo did my first eyebrow showed me and there was a bald spot on the bottom!!! I was like what is this how did this happen and she's saying that it's because she took off the hairs on the bottom she doesn't do up and down she does side to side and I practically walked in like that... Yet this has never happened before. I had told the other clueless lady to look at it but told her of course she'll be on her side, she practically came out with the same bull. It's a family business of course and the dum lady Nilo is the owner! So I walked out with no resolved solution, and one eyebrow/bald eagle spot trying to find a better place. So I officially found my new eyebrow threading place. I found them on Yelp and went because the reviews were amazing and they did not disappoint. I walked in and was quickly seated for my threading with Sama. She was so sweet and we had a great conversation as she threaded my eyebrows. Each time she finished a brow she showed me how it looked and checked with me to make sure I liked it. She also even filled them in for me in the end. Sama is there Mon, Tue, and Saturday and I would defiantly go there for her to do them again! Oh not to mention I loved that I was in and out of there so quick! I wanted to find another threading place since the previous one butchered my eyebrows and made one thinner than the other brow. I came here so I can clean up my eyebrows before prom but was a little hesitant if they too would butcher them but I was wrong. They didn't make them too thin and was still as thick as I wanted them. I have been going with Sonia since she was by Northgate, now she has her own little place in Plaza Blvd. I love her she always does such a great job and she is very gentle with the thread. Before booking, I explained the situation and specifically asked if the bleach spots and uneven color could be corrected. I was reassured multiple times that they could achieve the honey/ caramel brown color I wanted and fix the patchiness. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Once I sat in the chair, the stylist did not spot correct the unevenness and instead applied bleach all over my head again. Afterward, my hair was dyed much darker than the inspiration photos I showed, and I immediately noticed I had very obvious hot roots. When I brought it up, I was told it was "just the lighting." I asked again if it could be corrected, and although she darkened the roots slightly, they were still noticeably lighter and warm-toned. After my hair was dried and styled, I realized it was still very red -- honestly even redder/copper than when I originally came in. When I mentioned this, I was told it would "look better after a few washes" and that I should come back again. For $200, I left with hair that was more damaged, still uneven, and nowhere near the honey brown color I asked for. I understand color correction can be difficult, but I wish there had been more honesty about what was realistically achievable instead of being promised results that were not delivered. Will not come here again and don't recommend to come to color your hair!
