This is the second time I've come here and they had a closed sign on the door when they were supposed to be open. I understand they are a very small business and felt the first time I had some responsibility for not calling to confirm. They had closed two hours early. Today I called at 1:00 pm to confirm their hours. The woman who answered the phone replied they were open until 4:00 pm. I arrived at 2:00 to a sign they were closed until 2:45 pm. Eyebrow threading is $12 and you can leave a tip on the card! They are very quick as I was a walk in customer who needed my eyebrows shaped under 10 minutes for some beach pictures. Prices are reasonable and they are very friendly and do a decent job. Back home they usually clean up the eyebrow with rose water but here they use aloe. Not a big deal..but I definitely prefer rose water. Only minor compliant is afterwards the skin under my left brow was a bit red.. but I probably should have held my skin tighter. I'm only giving this 2 stars because the lady who provided service was really nice and welcoming. This review is a little late (about a few weeks), but I still wanted to share my thoughts. To give you some background info, this was my first time here. I got a full face with brows done. Paid $45. (And more w/a tip). most places charge $35/full face w/brows. Parking options: is limited or street parking. I think I got lucky with street parking! So, I usually don't mind paying that much if it is actually worth it. But it wasn't. I had to tell her 3 times I still had hair very visible to the eye. She shared that I had to verbally say I wanted certain areas removed upon the customers request- reason is past customers experiencing sensitivity in those areas on the face. I still found it strange that I had to ask since I was getting a "full face." Anyways, She took care of it. I also had to ask to shape my brows, which I'm sorry but i didn't like how they turned out. Kinda felt like a sloppy job. She was very friendly, sanitary and clean, professional, and accommodating. However, that wasn't my issue. As soon as I got in my car, I noticed two major issues. I still had a ton of hair on my face when in natural lighting. 2nd, the hair was not pulled out by the root.. it looked like I had shaved my face. The point of threading is to pull the hair out with the root. Since the string kept breaking, this caused the root to stay in and the hair to break in half. I get threading because I wanted to remove hair as a whole and not keep part of it in/out. It helps my skin. This tells me the quality of the string is very poor. Also,I did feel a little rushed since she was getting a line of people after me. Definitely not worth $45. Not even worth $35. Not sure if I'll give it another chance or keep looking for a new place read more

Love this place, clean friendly and parking is for the most part always available in the front of the building. The prices are what you should expect if not better and I've never had an issue with them and I love how cute and chic and fresh the place is. They are closed sundays just as an FYI. read more

I have been looking for a good eyebrow threading place around OB and I definitely feel like I have found one. The woman who owns this place is really sweet. However, I have gone there two times now and both times she has threaded my lip she snags the corner of my lip, which in turn looks like I have a sore. Not really the greatest look and it stings for the rest of the day. Maybe I'll try going again and tell her to be more cautious. Let me start off first that she was very polite and the business was very clean and in a cute location. Reason for my two stars: I asked her only to clean up the top and bottom line of my eyebrows - not to change anything for the inside and she did just that and shaped them into TWO different shapes. One square and one round. She said it was because I didn't have hair in that spot - you can see from my photos that I have healthy eyebrows. I left with TWO different shaped brows, and very upset. Again, very friendly lady but did not listen to what I requested. She was kind enough to tell me if I wasn't happy I didn't need to pay. I learned my lesson straying from my normal spot in Pacific Beach. I plan to attach photos of what my eyebrows looked like before and after the threading. read more

I liked this place the first few times I came. It's close to home, their prices were reasonable (which is the main reason I switched over) and they have a play area for kids when I bring my daughter. I hate to leave this review, because the ladies are so nice every time I've come, however the work done this time was unacceptable. My eyebrows rest differently and it's been hard to find someone that shapes them to look the same. This time was the worst yet, and you can see the difference in the photos. She took WAY too much off one eyebrow, making it thinner than the other one, and the shape is COMPLETELY different too. UGH. I'm super bummed because we all know it takes months to grow your eyebrows back. I asked to have my brows cleaned up and she did way more than I asked. And to top it off they bumped their prices up recently, no longer making it a better deal for me. Probably won't be back unfortunately. read more

I am so grateful for Jigna. Not only is she wonderful at threading, but she loves to catch up about the goings on of her customers' lives. It makes a good counterbalance for the inherently unpleasant process. She kind of makes you forget how much it hurts though! I look forward to my threading every month. I was lucky enough to be Jigna's first paying customer for mehendi/henna and she is just as able with her designs as she is with eyebrows. Wanted to quickly give a shout out to Jigna who just opened this threading salon on Chatsworth & Voltaire right next to Tea Upon Chatsworth. A friend and I visited today and we couldn't have been more pleased. The shop itself is really lovely, open & has a lot of natural sunlight. But Jigna herself was really pleasant and did an excellent job. She listened to what I wanted and did exactly as I hoped and took her time. I'm always very hesitant to try new threading place for fear of being left with overly thin eyebrows. Her pricing was also pretty great! The ladies always compliment my eyebrows and always know what I want and how I like them. I always get a clean up and everyone is very nice. I love the music and the waiting area. Only thing I'd get annoyed about is that I have a nose ring that isn't completely healed and the string always gets caught on it and the ladies tend to pull it out causing pain. But other than that I will always come back to get my eyebrows done here. I drive all the way from North Park to deep into Point Loma just to get them done here ONLY! I love this place! read more
