They have plenty of benches at each field, but they're uncovered so watch out for flying softballs! We almost got hit by one from the field behind us. Definitely bringing umbrellas for protection next time. We were there for a few hours, so I had to use the bathroom a couple of times. The first time, the stall I went into ran out of toilet paper, but someone had left a bunch in there from another stall. There was only one sink, and the faucet is the kind that you press then let go and it should run for a short time. But this faucet stopped as soon as you let go. Fortunately I always carry hand sanitizer with me. Later I had to use the restroom again, and only the same stall was available. This time there was zero toilet paper. The bathroom was not like in the worst condition ever, but they should at least make sure the bathroom is stocked with toilet paper, especially when they know a tournament or other sports event is scheduled that day.

Two days ago I walked my dog at the main park, west of the pool facility, and fell in an unmarked irrigation hole. And let me tell you, these unmarked, uncapped voids are Everywhere. This set me back 6 wks into PT for my knee. It is literally too dangerous to walk thru the grass. The failure to maintain anything other than the soccer fields is a shame. Between the lack of upkeep& the homeless at the cabanas, Hobbs is doing a crap job with the parks.

My only gripe is the insane distance between the parking lot and the small dog area. When I say it was a trek, it was a TREK...like 1/4 of a mile. By the time my dog got into the enclosure, he was already exhausted from zigzagging between me and the gate. With that said, there are 2 enclosures - one for big dogs and one for small dogs. The enclosure for the small dog area was nice and clean. The grass was pricklier than I'm used to, but quite nice. Highly recommend coming here if your dog loves to run.

There weren't many dogs when we arrived, but this was in May, so it was already pretty hot. We stayed for almost an hour, just enough to let our pups get some energy out without getting too hot. It's fun for me to see all the different types of breeds that come here. Most of the pups are well behaved. I've seen a couple times some negligent owners on their phones so spaced out, don't pick up their dogs poop or watch what their dogs are doing, but as far as dog parks go- it's the best for not having to stress that something negative will happen. I've been to other dog parks in the area that just had bad vibes. This one is nice and happy. It's as clean as a dog park can be, they do regular maintenance to the grounds, and there is a huge parking lot. It's also nice to walk the dogs in that area as well. My boys love it here and I'm happy to take them. Important to note- check the hours on certain days since they do the maintenance and close the parks. Technically there's also a hummingbird garden but unless you parked in a specific spot or know where to look, you'd miss it as its small and tucked in a far corner. While small, it is nice (aside from the pile of cigarette butts some jrrk left) with some nice plants, a short walking path, and a water feature. It has a lot of desert plants but I was surprised not to see more spring flowers this time of year. The park is nice and the water seemed clean and not smelly, but I wish we had more areas of denser vegetation like the hummingbird area to walk around in. It does seem pretty well kept up and I noticed several newer desert willows growing.
