Bob Bartlett - State Farm Insurance Agent - It was a great experience being able to share my journey as a State Farm agent. Thanks to Scott Grates for having me!

Anytime I need a quote or need to change something on a car or need to stretch to pay the bill a couple days late. When the rates go up. I'm able to send a text and ask, they will tell me. I've been a customer here for a couple years now. They insure my cars, my business and I get renters. There are so many benefits to having a local insurance agent. I will refer everyone to Bob Bartlett at State Farm. 5 stars, 5 stars. Please keep up the amazing work! Customer for life here.

I halfheartedly thought I should probably shop my insurance and see if I could keep it at 2022 levels. I hopped on State Farm's quote calculator and it looked too good to be true. I clicked the button to have an agent call, and Bob called within 45 minutes. Not only did he lower my combined 2 auto policies and homeowner's policy by $1500. annually, but did it with efficient, friendly service, good advice and confident competence. And the icing on the cake is that he's a local small business owner answering a local phone number who knows our roads and housing stock. Call him! You will be so glad you did. This Insurance was provided by our broker for a new 500k property we purchased. Union Mutual asked…read moreus a to make a number of repairs in the first 30 days. These repairs included some siding, paint some trim and replace a small portion of roof. They also required us to install a $1000 water flow monitoring device. We replaced the siding, painted the trim and sent pictures. We provided proof the roof had been replaced less than 2 years ago by the previous owner. We chose to install new kitchen cabinets, granite countertops and paint the interior. When the inspector came the countertops had not been installed. Union Mutual cancelled our insurance at this point because the risk was too high and we did not by a builders risk policy for the "construction work" They claimed we made no repairs as requested and roof was not replaced. Since our new insurance company did not require the water device we asked for them to reimburse us and were also declined. Union Mutual Lies. Their decision making staff are uneducated in construction and actual risk. A state audit of this company to practice in Maine is recommended.

Before moving from California to Vermont, we called Ryan at State Farm to see if our belongings…read morewere covered, or if we should opt for the extra insurance the moving company was offering. Ryan told us to NOT get the extra insurance, that 100% of our things were covered--no matter if it was in our home, a moving truck, or anywhere else. We called one more time to get that in writing, and Ryan emailed us our policy coverage, which stated everything was covered. A month later, when our moving truck arrived in Vermont and began unloading, it became clear pretty fast there was going to be a lot of damage. Many of the boxes were crumpled and smashed, we could hear broken glass in them, and my mountain bike was just completely missing. We did an inventory and estimated about $8,000 dollars in damages. I called State Farm to start the process of a claim and they immediately denied it, saying nothing was covered. I called Ryan and he was as surprised as we were. He said there must be some mistake and would get to the bottom of it and call us back. He called the next day and said no, we weren't covered unless we filed a police report. Our things were only covered in the move for "theft and vandalism," which WASN'T included in the paperwork he had emailed us. Ryan of course understood that he had made a big mistake and misinformed us, but there was no recourse except filing a lawsuit. People make mistakes, but this is one of those "you had one job" situations--tell us if it's covered or not. And if you mess up, and admit to messing up, you have to try to make it right. But both he and his boss, Rich, wouldn't (or couldn't) do anything to make it right. Why would anyone pay for this kind of service?
