They will target you. They tried to charge me 12 PREVIOUS months for a parking sticker the SAME DAY I got a parking sticker. I had to call them to tell them how they were wrong and Paul said he would credit it back to my account. ( I had to pay it at the time to avoid a late fee of rent). After going to Paul 3 times he finally applied it to my account. I made my opinion on something ONCE never had any problems or violations before hand and after demanding my money back everything went left. They didn't let me renew my lease because they "wanted their apartment back." There was no valid reason for them to put me out that's why they waited until my lease was over. Then when I moved out the lady Monica didn't even do the inspection with me. She told me I can just go then sent me an email full of charges after I asked when will I get my $875 deposit back. I was charged $750 for 'repainting of walls'....white walls that I have been living in 3 years were supposed to stay spotless? plus they paint ANYWAY when ANYBODY move out. Then tried to say my apartment was left dirty . When I swept and took everything. Including the brooms plants and dirt pile in this pic . (This pic was taken before the inspection) They play very dirty games here. I would never recommend anything managed by these people. They will do everything they can to hurt you.

Ive made multiply maintenance request to the management company about holes in the floors since day 1. It took them 3-6 months to come out to evaluate what I was referring to, then took an extra 2 months to fill in the holes they felt needed sealing. Still to only have holes in the place almost 2 years later. I put in a request a month ago from today because I was having an insect. problem, they sprayed. Yesterday, my son picks up his bottle and toys with an extreme amount of ants running across them. I put in a maintence request because I knew the issue wasnt about the house being sprayed, it's about the floors needing tailoring. I wasn't home for the maintenance guy to spray the home and he couldn't enter the home due to me having to change the locks because someone in the neighborhood was tampering with my door.( of course the management company would have caught the person if the cameras they installed had been working, but still the cameras do not work) which I was told a year ago they would fix them. Today, I call to speak to the manager and he decided to tell me that spraying the home isnt in the lease, but I'm pretty sure fixing major flooring issues is. He then proceeded to tell me, "I should find somewhere else to stay," because my neighbor doesn't complain. As if, my neighbor and I live together or my neighbor has a 2 year old he is protecting and providing for. Bugs should not be able to entire through the floor, I should not be able to see the ground through the floors either, nor should my son be around bugs in his own home.

Still a scramble to find new housing, but that's double the legal requirement for notice. In our two years together, I felt I was well taken cared of. The house is gorgeous and OLD and things happen. Maintenance requests were responded to promptly. Usually by the following business day, we'd already get a call from the maintenence team. Nine times out of ten, they came the same day to either view or address the issue. A few things have had to be replaced and that was also done promptly. The maintenence team, LOVE THEM ALL! My favorite experience with JW is their response to post-hurricane damage. We've had a couple big ones pass, including Ida. Notices were sent out saying they'd come to inspect exterior damage on all properties, no need to submit requests. On two occasions, our fence in the backyard was knocked over or knocked out on certain parts. Since Ida was so bad and we didn't have any urgent repairs needed, we waited to contact maintenence. One day, Ben knocks on our door to inform us he cleaned up the storm debris from our yards. Whaaaa?! A few weeks later, our back fence was repaired. Again, no maintenence request submitted. They were on it!

When my window HVAC broke during August, it took a full week to get a new unit installed, and when he installed a new one, he didn't purchase an HVAC, just an Air Conditioner. After that moment, I no-longer had heat in my unit. The community laundry facility has been broken for over 6 months. Countless times us tenants asked for this to be repaired only to have him say he will fix it and never follow through with his word. All of the other tenants moved out due to being unable to wash their clothes. Now that I have a baby boy on the way, I refuse to subject my son to a dwelling with no heat, no way to wash his clothes, and overall to this level of landlord neglect. I was the last remaining tenant to leave. Never received security deposit back.
