So much so that I travel from New Orleans at least once a year to continue work on my piece. I interviewed multiple artists across Portland before choosing Drat to go on this wild self-reclamation journey with me. He was the most considerate, understanding, and ethical person I met. Having said all that, I highly recommend both Drat and the Ever True shop for work large or small. The space is impeccably clean, and I am ADAMANT about cleanliness, especially in tattoo shops. I have topical allergies and Drat is accommodating for that as well, with zero hassle. Also, I feel completely safe and protected, which is imperative considering the intimate and vulnerable placement of my work. If you want body art that is aesthetically beautiful and handled with total care, check out Drat at Ever True! All the staff I have met there have also been super respectful and their work is top notch. Go go go!!!

Not a big fan of this place or its owner Drat…read more I showed up to an appointment I made with him and he told me that he is going to be busy tattooing his friend and I could get tattooed by someone else at the shop that is available. The lack of respect for my time was unbelievable. This was the last time I went to him. It's been many years since then and I found that most of the tattoos I've gotten from here have been tattoos I have covered up. What a waste of time and money it's been. Had I just done a little bit more research I would have found plenty of shops with better artists and vibes. If you'd like your tattooer to act like he is all that and get over charged for mediocre tattoos that at best mimic real Japanese art then Drat is the guy for ya.

Besides her being an amazing person inside & out. This was my very first tattoo. I remember telling her years ago "I want to get one" after looking at all her pieces she has. It sort of feels full circle for the fact we spoke about it and she ended up being the one I came too. She made me so comfortable and it's so clean here. I'm not a fan of needles (but who really is?) but through our conversation, I barely felt anything! Super nice place, big and everyone was welcoming. I love the decor. My tattoo is pretty simple and small but I appreciated the cleanliness, how comfortable I became and of course the work that was done on me. Beyond happy with my result! Thank you, Devon and I'm now addicted Will be back very soon and bringing friends with..

The shop is clean, environment is great, and everyone there is positive and professional. I got a rather large piece done on my rib cage and it turned out great. Side note: Parking can be a bit harder to find as it's street parking only. You pay up front (which I actually like), and of course bring cash.
