New location, same amazing service and care! I got a third piece from Bex last Fall and it has healed up beautifully. It is a memorial tattoo and I really appreciate the care that Bex put into the design and tattooing. They are my go-to forever! read more

Two years ago, after many recommendations from friends/neighbors, I scheduled my first tattoo with Bex. Before I left, I was already mentally planning out my next visit. Fast forward to yesterday. I had given a brief description to Bex, over email, of what I had in mind. When I arrived, we reviewed the art work together, made a few alterations, and I left with the most beautiful sea turtle to accompany my blue heron. The studio is extremely clean; even while in the process of relocating. Bex and the other artists are very conscientious of their tools and space. Bex is a remarkable artist. Their watercolor technique adds dimension and brings the art work to life. I feel honored to wear their art! read more

Bex is consummate professional from the very start of the process with the initial consult, through the design, to actual day of tattooing, and then aftercare. Also, her artwork is gorgeous... I could not be more thrilled with the result. read more

I have been following Rebecca's art over the years and have always really enjoyed her style and unique concepts. She quit her day job years back to focus on art full time and its worked out well for her because it's awesome and people want it! Follow your dreams people! Then...she announced she was learning to tattoo, and after 20 years of not knowing what I wanted to get for a second tattoo, it was time! Her art is one thing but her tattooing skills are already on point. I LOVE the piece I got from her a few months back and will be in her chair again in a couple weeks. Can't wait! Plus, she's a chill person so you will not have to put up with any snootyness that sometimes accompanies talented artists. read more

I *love* Oak Iris Tattoo. I've had work done by Bex, Sasha, and Emiliana (who recently moved back to the east coast ::sniffle::) and have had a wonderful experience each time. The shop is super clean and they have extensive Covid protocols in place, so I feel safe every time I go. The environment is bright, colorful, and chill. Everyone is friendly, and the vibe is enjoyable. Spending time at the studio is an absolute treat, and not just because it's four hours for myself with no tiny humans running around. Every artist has been very collaborative. I have zero artistic bones in my body, so I usually just say "I'd like this, this, and this, and I'd like it here or here" and they turn it into beautiful art. They're always open to input, have interesting suggestions and ideas, and happily change things I'm not excited about. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Bex did an amazing addition to an existing piece adding an aurora borealis. Bex was great at being open to my inspiration and planning my trip to Portland to get tattooed. I'm a little obsessed with Bex's artwork, and when she started tattooing, I fell in love with her work even more. It can be hard to transfer art from page to skin, but she does it beautifully and with amazing skill. I've already had 3 tattoos from her and we're in the middle of a coverup tattoo. Bex is super easy to work with, great communication, and the shop has a really comfortable atmosphere. The other artists who work there have also been really friendly and do beautiful work. read more

I saw Sasha and she was absolutely amazing. She pays attention to detail and is very adamant about taking care of what YOU want. I have gotten two tattoos from Bex and I absolutely LOVE them! One was a flash based on a painting I bought from her a few years prior, and the second was a bouquet of my favorite flowers to cover up a tattoo I didn't love anymore from my teenage years. The flower tattoo was done during the first months of COVID, and my experience at the shop was AMAZING. It was the cleanest area I've been in even pre-COVID, but it was absolutely immaculate when I was there in July! We did most of our communicating about it via email, and there were incredible amounts of care and safety taken into consideration while Bex worked. We didn't talk (which was fine!) and instead listened to a podcast about penguins :) Excellent work, great service, IMPECCABLE safety protocols. 100% professionalism! I love my Oak Iris Tattoo tank top as well because it's a striking yet simple design, and I love wearing it around so I can tell everyone to go to Bex for ink! (and just casually uncover the beautiful goat on my shoulder ;) ) read more

My daughter and I have both received tattoos from Bex, and also Riley. They are both incredibly talented artists. My tat from Bex is actually from when she was still in tattoo school, and right out of the gate, she did amazing work. She is warm, funny, and really easy to work with. I have been following her work since then, and it has been consistently really good. I am planning on going back at some point in the near future, because my daughter and I want to get something meaningful together. I can't wait! read more

I worked with Bex for a piece I've been wanting for a while, and they were so professional, welcoming, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Best tattoo experience I have ever had. They provided some small snacks and water. Studio was immaculate. They have a light hand without sacrificing quality - literally the least painful tattoo I've gotten so far (this was my fourth one).
