This place sucks, Omnia was better in every way. This is now a concert venue and you can only go when they are events. Omnia was not like this, it was a straight up nightclub you could go to anytime like a normal bar/club not a concert venue. Bring Omnia back read more

Very awesome and convenient place to see my favorite DJ's in action!! Will probably keep going!! read more

Getting in here was relatively easy and was not too crowded at 10:30 or so. It got pretty crowded around 11:15 so we moved around a bit and were able to sit upstairs since nobody had it reserved which was super cool! I think the dancefloor itself is pretty big and the staff are less strict than Time in Costa Mesa. Overall great experience and good vibes read more

I spent 45 minutes around 1 am here on my 21st birthday for my iPhone 16 pro ($1500) total to be stolen and taken to Mexico. I didn't know it at the time, but when it went missing from my bag, I asked the security workers to help ask the DJs to put out a small announcement for a missing phone or get help from a manager they were not helpful. Horrible experience - never going back. I know it wasn't in their control in having thieves, but they also failed to answer my many phone calls when I was looking for it and their voicemail inbox was full. Maybe have security cameras or something if clubs are known for stealing to catch awful people like this. read more

Bouncer didn't let us back in after our smoke break. Showed him our ticket and everything. Ended up with about $90 extra charges on my tab when I wasn't in the building. Didn't even get to see the headliner. However, bartenders were very friendly and cool (aside from the extra charges). Wish we had a better experience. read more

Very classy dance club in San Diego with talented DJ's. I went for the first time in early 2022 to see Loud Luxury and came back in Nov 2022 to see KSHMR with friends. The venue is classy and has 3 levels. The 3rd level is an outdoor rooftop. The dance floor is a nice size too on floor 1 but you can dance on the outside too. read more

WORST night club that I've ever been to! Rude people and employees, drinks suck and the DJ that was on was just terrible. If you're getting bottle service, this might be the place for you but otherwise do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are plenty of good options a few blocks away. The place is small and there isn't much room to even stand. DO NOT recommend this place at all. read more

The dance floor makes no sense to me. Small and enclosed with only 1 exit / entrance. Crowd can be aggressive here as well unlike many other rave type scenes. Ive almost been in 2 fights here and I am a friendly person... Other than that service is typically great! The other night a security guard named Deonte noticed my friend was drunk and passing out and he made sure to watch over her and address the issue in a supportive manner. He guided her to receive medical attention instead of kicking her out. G.O.A.T. read more

this is by far the best club in SD that I've been to. Literally my favorite place The bartender was soo friendly and made the drinks really well. My favorite drink was made spot on! Friendly staff all Around and an Amazing sound system !!! read more

Venue is super cool with 3 different floors. Drinks are on point with downtown prices. Ambience is what you make of it, but everyone seems to be on the same page in having a good time. Joshua Becker, thank you so much for being an amazing person who elevated the experience. Thank you to the whole team, we are definitely coming back again. read more

Changed the name of the institution - well, inviting cool DJs is great. The fact that you let too many people into the club so that it is impossible to dance on the dance floor and feels like a sardine in a can does not make your club more than one star. "Cocktails" in the club are just swill for schoolchildren Thanks but i will not recommend this club to my friends and myself read more

Update: I emailed NOVA immediately after this night expecting a response, perhaps even an explanation. I hadn't shared this detail before but the group I was with that night were all service members...Since this club is near a ton of military bases I figured whoever caring enough to read reviews of this place would care to know. read more

Formerly known as Omnia, this place was rebranded by Insomniacs to be Nova. Parking situation is awful, but it's to be expected since it's in downtown. Came here to see Zedd about a month or so ago and my experience was okay. Dance floor was really crowded but luckily, I was standing underneath one of the fans so I wasn't suffocating. There's 3 floors and you can hear the music clearly from all of them. The drinks were alright and a bit expensive, which is standard for a nightclub. All in all, Nova is a pretty standard EDM club. Can only see myself coming here if an artist I really like is only performing here read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. This place sucks lol. $20 a drink with weak pours. The Bearded security guy at the door, Needs to know he's a door man and nothing more. . I won't be going back here and anyone I talk to agrees this place is wack. No shorts in San Diego? Yikes. Get with the times. This is an edm club in San Diego not Vegas lol. The club isn't even that cool it's tiny and the stage is boring. Super disappointed since this is the only edm venue in San Diego. read more

The bartenders seemed miserable. I asked something about the food (which is outrageously expensive; $80 for chicken tenders and some fries?!) and the guy snapped at me. Also I wish there was a place to rest. If you didn't pay for a booth you had to stand. I got there early so I stood on my feet, in heels, for 4 hours straight. Sucks because they bring big names big names to play. read more

Shit show, nowhere to stand, very pretentious. Do not come here. Tickets were 90 dollars. Drinks were 30 bucks each and they automatically added a tip for anything over 60 bucks. It was way over capacity and we took a bunch of pictures and will be contacting the fire department. Exit was just a trash compactor. We were trying to leave and security was pointing us in multiple directions. Extremely rude staff with an attitude problem. Finally just said fuck it, were out and ignored all their BS. It was so bad it made me write this review read more

I would give it a 5 star rating but every time I come here, the bartenders be taking advantage of the people who are drunk. My wife went to get a Hennessy with ice, and a cup of tap water, bartender comes back and says total is 38 dollars, originally the Hennessy is like 17-18 bucks, bartender tried to take advantage thinking my wife was drunk. Be careful when ordering your drinks cuz they will over charge you it's happened all the time when I go there and it's pretty sad they being doing some shady stuff like that. Don't be afraid to ask how much each item is so you won't get scammed like that. But the venue it's self is really cool, they always got worldwide known Djs coming in every weekend! Depending whose performing it can be chill vibes (E.g Plur vibes) and at time you get them annoying/tough macho men/women thinking they own the dance floor. Overall it's a dope ass EDM venue in SD. Ticket pricing is always affordable if you snatch them early enough. read more

We saw DJ Pauly D and for 2 old ladies, we had a wonderful time. The staff worked their butts off, especially the VIP servers.

Celebrated my 21st birthday with friends here and we all had an amazing time! Not only did our VIP host Mark (@mab_novasd) accommodate all of our requests, he was also looking out for us the entire night to ensure we all felt comfortable and safe. We got a balcony table and it was set up with cranberry juice, orange juice, water, lime, glassware etc. when we arrived. We also had our own dancing space with a nice view of everything. Can't wait to be back & thank you Mark for being such a great host! read more

Such an amazing vibe! I went for the first time to celebrate a friends birthday! We we're greeted by the friendly VIP Host Team, Marc & Steven. The beautiful hostesses, Sam, checked us in, and Destiny had graciously walked us to our table. ZEDD was the artist for the night. The energy in the crowd was already popping. Our server Elysia, offered great suggestions for a birthday presentation with Champagne & Tequila for our large group. We Love Perrier Jouet so we ordered the Rose Magnum & Claze Azul Magnum. Her assistants Gio & Brianna made sure everyone was having a great time with a full glass or shot in hand. They had a tasty food menu so we ordered the chicken karaage, mixed vegetable tempura and the truffle fries too. Absolutely delicious!! The experience was incredible!! I highly recommend checking out Nova to celebrate any occasion and for a fun night of dancing!! I will definitely be back again soon read more

I went to check out Loud Luxury at Nova and let me tell you this club is something else. The crowd that night was very friendly and well dressed. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing and I had a great time with my girls. Loud Luxury dropped a crazy set and I was lost in the music and the club's visuals. I was very impressed. My promoter Benny was extremely thorough when I asked him questions about the new spot and I highly recommend reaching out to him if you want to come here. His Instagram is @breathedm and I can't thank him enough for the recommendation. read more

Enjoyed my time for Matroda! Got a table through Mark B. Super helpful and made it easy. Will be coming back again soon!

We had an absolute blast at Nova thanks to our gracious host Mark! He made sure we well taken care of and didn't have to worry about anything other than having fun! We also loved our beautiful servers and had a great service experience overall. Love the new NovaSD!! read more

I honestly had the best night of my life at the sever house lineup this pass weekend that Night Trip presented to us. Went to the second floor and security let us into the VIP section towards the end of the night. Star was friendly, security was straight forward with their rules and instructions. Only way i see this place getting bad reviews is if people don't know how to handle their liquor and compose themselves when going out! read more

Has outdoor seating , Serves great cocktails , Has live Electronic music in the middle of Gaslamp area !

Bartenders had an attitude when ordering drinks for asking simple questions and bouncers were aggressive when leaving before closing

$80 for 3 drinks.... I couldn't believe it! also the headliner went on at 11:15 pm. Wow...

I just came to the taylor rave and overall the experience was not great....the staff is not trained properly and the company should invest in better management. We were told by multiple security guards that due to the type of event there was open seating. We were sitting for a long while with no issues until the manager Tiante said we were not allowed to be seated but when we walked around there were multiple tables without bottle service seated but we were the only ones he targeted when we were only seated because my 60 year old mother attended to celebrate a birthday. Afterwards we moved spots for the rest of the night..there was one gentleman who took some pictures for us who was absent amazing and a sweetheart, however as the evening came to an end we needed to go down to the first floor to close a tab. As we attempted to go down the stairs from the 2nd floor not exit the building as we needed to close a tab, there was a young guy who rudely approached my family saying that we were not allowed to finish drinks that were 30 dollars each and proceeded to try to take it and throw it away without consent. Mind you we were not attempting to leave the buildings with alcohol. We requested a manager (an Asian female) who said we were ok to finish our drinks on our way to close out. My brother did let her know that they should let the man who was giving us an issue that he needs to know the proper protocol. As he was speaking to her he was behind her making faces and sticking his tongue out. This was roughly at 1:45 am on the 2nd floor to the right of the DJ if management would like to hold the said employee accountable. She proceeded to defend the guy acting unprofessionally and I did let her know as a manager myself that she is poorly trained. After an evening if celebrating a loved ones birthday I am sitting in the car at 2:09 am writing this review. I would really appreciate to hear what further actions will be taken to reprimand the man who was acting inappropriately as a business of this stature should should be represented by employees who are aware of company policies and procedures. read more

My girlfriends and I went out for a girls night, landing us at Nova for the first time. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! The music, the lights, the whole vibe was absolutely incredible. Now for the cons: The venue is somewhat small and the dress code is wack AF. Luckily the bearded door person was nice enough to point out a store that was close by and open that late so we didn't have to waste our tickets. No shorts in San Diego??? Since when lol Kind of an annoying way to start the show but once we were inside shit was poppin' and after one VERY expensive drink I was riding the wave of escapism. Needless to say, we'll be back read more

All good except for the crowd which is vast majority dudes. And I get some uncomfortable when they are bathroom attendants around.

I regularly like to go to NOVA & usually am always treated great. But this last weekend I got helped by a girl named Arlene Aleman & she was absolutely terrible. She kept forgetting to bring our drinks & every time I tried to kindly remind her about them she would have a horrible attitude with us. It's not like we were just ordering one drink for hours, we were actually there to spend money. Then when it was time for the check she basically just threw it at us & she charged us for all the drinks she forgot & never brought out. At this point, we were all really frustrated with our experience so we asked to speak to a manager & she told us she was the manager & there was no one else to speak to. I never write reviews, & if I do I prefer to write positive reviews. But this time I really couldn't not say anything. She ruined our experience there to the point where we don't want to go back. read more

I just attended an event for my birthday with my family and we had the worst experience I've ever had. My brother in law was finishing a drink as the night came to an end and there was a guy who was purposely taunting my family after he attempted to take a drink from us when we were still on the 2nd floor not leaving the establishment . A manager was involved and condoned the employees actions instead of acting as a manager and acknowledging the employees negative actions. We were not belligerent which is why management presence was requested because we were being treated as if we did something wrong. I really hope that we are able toto receive an update on the situation from upper management or corporate as this experience was completely unacceptable read more

A scam club! I bought a ticket in advance, and they denied me entry for no real reason. Avoid this scam place!!

This place was lame. Came here to see ATLiens and left before they even came on. Couldn't enjoy the place, super packed and constantly being told to move. Couldn't even dance. The bouncer on the second floor did cocaine in front of us. Not professional at all. Other bouncers constantly touching us for no reason. What a waste of money and halloween night. Never again and I will be telling everyone I know about it. Gave it a star because there was no option to give it 0 stars. read more

I went for a concert and the parking was an absolute nightmare, drinks were absurdly over priced, and it was over sold. Ended up leaving early because there was 0 space. The club itself was really nice, however the people they let in is a bunch of stuck up individuals, my group of friends and I went just to have a good time and dance but even being line for the restroom, we got confronted with drunk individuals who wanted to fight, security is weak, very weak they just stand there with flash lights no help at all. read more

Last weekend I showed up on Friday with some friends for a Bachelor party, 4B was headlining that night! The atmosphere was great, the music was loud, and the lighting was amazing. My friends and I decided to get a table and it was definitely the right choice! Our servers and waitresses were amazing and even came out with a custom sign for our friend that was getting married. All in all, if you're looking for a great experience at a nightclub with fantastic service and state of the art production, Nova is the place to be. Some nights can be expensive depending on which headliners are playing so I recommend getting table service to get the most bang for your buck and skip the lines! read more
