The old maintenance crew was overwhelmed and did not get to everything in a timely manner but when the new crew started they addressed my ac unit going out and got it replaced pretty quickly. I applied for an apartment at Nova Pointe under their "Look and Lease" promotion, where I was explicitly told -- and shown in writing -- that the application fee was waived. I submitted a $200 money order, of which $100 was meant as a holding deposit. Despite this, the full amount was processed without approval, and I was given conflicting refund timelines after canceling (first 48-72 hours, then 7-10 business days). When I questioned this, I was spoken to condescendingly, told to "calm down," and passed between staff -- even though I have a photo of my application with "NO APP FEES" circled in writing by their own agent, Anthony. If they do not resolve this professionally, I will be escalating to Consumer Affairs, HUD, the CA Department of Real Estate, and Small Claims Court. I wanted to believe this was an honest mistake, but it now feels like a serious mishandling of funds and trust. Been living here for 5+ years and since day 1 their laundry rooms are ALWAYS out of order! And when you complain to the office about it all they tell you is that it's a third party??????????? They do not care about anything but rent being paid on time. The amenities like the pools and laundry rooms are ALWAYS disgusting. There's no longer a gym or playground who knows if they'll ever be again. They don't ever answer the phone are hardly in the office either. Makes no sense! They change management every few months it seems and the complex has only gotten worse!!!!!!! It only looks nice on the outside but the inside everything is cheap!!!!!!! Horrible experience. I'll never recommend anyone to live here. There's roaches, everyone has huge dogs and they walk them with no leash, & sometimes they get out. A small child even got bitten. Someone was shot in the apartments over a parking spot. Office does not give out the correct information. There is no assigned parking and parking is packed !! Forget about having guest because there is literally no guest parking. The office will tell you that there is, but once they park there, your guest car will be towed. They are working with the tow company to make more money. When you walk out your house at night make sure you have boots on because there are huge puddles of water left due to broken sprinklers. I can keep going about the horrible experience I had... definitely rather rent in the projects, there would be less issues read more

I had an appointment at 1pm I even received a courtesy email 2 hours before saying I had an appointment with them. The maintenance man's and lady in the office handed me a card saying they were going to lunch till 2pm like what???? I drove 61 miles with an appointment to have to wait a hour??? They could have called like hey I see you have an appointment at this time but we're out for these house is it okay to change your time ? SMH read more

It's so sad to say that a lot of these residents go unheard. The office always has a minimum of three leasing agents in at least three managers total of 6-8 employees and no one ever answers the phone. I called the office while sitting in their office and nobody will ever reach for the phone. I moved out and left my apartment in immaculate condition. I am now looking at legal options due to a scam charge of $375 for paint, $150 for cleaning, and $50 fir patio weeds. The gym equipment is always broken, as are the gates. Stay far away from these apparent slum lords. See photos for my apartment the day I moved out, before they claimed it was in such bad shape they needed almost $600 to clean and fix it, not including floors. Absolutely the worst place I have ever lived!!Weed smoking neighbors next door and upstairs, constant calls to police for domestic violence, and the infestation of roaches and ants was unbelievable. Roaches are so bad they return after the apartment has been sprayed. Roaches in the refrigerator, freezer, bathtub, just awful. So glad to be away from that horrible place. (See below for edit*)Truly this place has been the worst apartment complex I have ever stayed at, and I've had to live in a few places throughout my childhood/young adult life. You want hot water? Yeah look somewhere else. The first year we lived here it was hit or miss, and then there was just days we didn't have ANY water. At least every month now we receive a notice for some poor building getting their water shut off anywhere from 4hrs to an entire day for "emergency repairs" The quality of the apartment is NOT up to code. When we first moved in everything was clearly painted over and not properly cleaned, the dish washer was in pieces with mold at the bottom, and the refrigerator has been slowly dying from day 1. If you look at the work of the tacky vinyl sink you'd noticed that instead of pulling the old vinyl, they just covered it up with another layer that started peeling back after a month. Don't even get my started about the crud under the oven. Screen door busted when we moved in, windows insulation is worn and nearly completely gone so they WILL cost you more money running heat/electricity. THIS PLACE IS INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES, no matter how many traps we've set there's ALWAYS MORE! And they're everywhere!!! When you walk to your car they're walkin' with you. They try so hard to enforce rules that overall negatively impact the quality of the residents, specifically in the patio. They'll hand out notices to tenets like ourselves simply because we have an outdoor gym set but do not hand out notices to say--our awful upstairs neighbor--who dump liquid trash on our patio regularly simply because they can't see their upstairs patio. They pick and choose who can get away with things at their own will. If you're in a tight spot and need somewhere cheap, this place barely makes the cut. Needless to say when our lease is going we're out of here and will never recommend this god forsaken place to anyone. The neighbors suck(all around us-loud outside of quiet hours, vocally and physically abusive to their kids), the price is okay, and you better just hope the apartment you get is in proper working order. There's a reason this place has such terrible reviews, RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK. *edit- For all fairness, the maintenance crew is the glue that keeps this place running. For the time we weren't getting any hot water, it was the maintenance crew who replaced and fixed parts in our shower to help (although that ended up not being the issue). They are kind, respectful, quick to fix whatever they can. Update, still not better, in fact worse...not sure how that's possible but 1. Noticed a fee on my account, and I was told "it's always been there, you just didn't notice"...oh really? Didn't notice that I had a charge for almost a year and you allowed me to continue living here with a balance? Turns out, they weren't legally allowed to charge late fees so they "relabeled" them something else and backdated it to be able to charge me more, they actually told me this. 2. 3 water shut offs, just in my phase in the last 2 weeks.....and that's just in 2022...this has been going on all year. We are currently in one now, zero notice (got an email and went to check that second ...OFF) and will be off for 5 hours on a Wednesday morning. This happens ALL the time. I have never lived anywhere with this amount of issues, and I have lived in some rough places...but this takes the cake! Overall incompetent and unprofessional management. Hello all, do not normally do this but want to give future residents a heads up. Upon moving to this complex we heard a lot of negative reviews from current tenants. Everyone has an opinion so my wife and I ignored the comments and gave the place a shot. Let me tell you, we should have listened. Prior to moving out, the complex was upgrading their hot water system, however, we would go days without hot water. Long story short - after a difficult time and a lot of back and forth, it got fixed. NOW, we terminated our lease early, office lost original paper work, there are 3 money orders missing, office is overcharging us, collections is being brought in and their invoice does not match the office invoice, it has been an ongoing process and headache since the end of last year. I am a patient guy but the manager there, Stacy, lies about getting back to us, refuses to speak with us, we have to go through her assistants and they apologize and you can tell they are embarrassed but it's not their fault. I have emailed the manager with proof and she has failed to reach out. I have called numerous times at different times of month, week, days, and hour and still nothing - she is always too busy. IF YOU DO MOVE HERE, please save all paperwork, take pictures, their office does have cameras so time stamp the minute you walk in and walk out. HORRIBLE communication with office, horrible management. If collections keeps calling and we do not hear back from the owner or manager, we are going to have to go through legal counsel to see what can be done given we have all evidence, paperwork, pictures, and time stamps of interactions. read more

WILSON TOWING is horrible! I live here as a resident and they tow the same car over and over again. My car had a dam sticker that was provided to me by the OFFICE MANAGER JENNIFER , and they said the sticker looked " tampered " with and that is why it was towed. When they literally towed this exact same car last month cause of " registration ", which that reason was understandable HOWEVER they were payed for In the system , they just weren't delivered yet!!!! I still had to pay 600 cause they weren't physically on the car. They know my window is completely broken on one side so with the weather , the sticker lifted a little on the side. This is so ridiculous. Especially because I am living in the low Income apartments , how the hell do I afford an additional $550 every month for a tow ? Ridiculous. I called Wilson towing and they're so RUDE!!!!! They said " unfortunately it looks like it's been on several cars " but when I asked for proof that it's " been on multiple vehicles ", alll they did was show me a picture with the sticker being lifted on one side but not on any car??????? Horrible people and management couldn't do nothing either!!!! They hired the dam company yet couldn't get the car out? Horrible management. NOT EVEN THE OWNER CAN DO ANYTHING. An honest review of my experience was there a year and half Cons The apartment does not regularly spray for pests as stated in the lease after the first month it is the tenant's responsibility When we moved in there was a giant hole in our bottom kitchen cabinet come on in rats, roaches, spiders! The maintenance man needed to add a smoke detector we were supposed to have 2 Most of our outlets didn't work when we moved in we never got them repaired we should have we just used a bunch of surge protectors The gate would always break down and then not work for months, get fixed, then break again within a week. What a valuable use of tenants' rent! The mailbox was broken into for weeks everyone had to check the mail 2x and there were pictures posted of the thieves. This wasn't even in 2020 when it was to be expected There would always be people loitering inside and around the apartment day and night. Homeless would be on the outside laying in the grass leaving trash, dumpster divers, and people drinking near the entrance on weekends. When I was moving out I asked for an itemized list and made an appointment to be present for the walkthrough they blew me off both Management never answers. I learned no matter how many times I called, expect to blow up their emails every few days to get a reply. Never ever go down there! Every time I did management likes to play dumb when you have a complaint and pretend it's the first time. Just email keep a paper trail and if you're lucky you will get a reply depending on what it is. This leads me to my next complaint They don't give a crap about noise despite them including Don't bother your neighbors with excess noise in the lease. I was on the first floor of the above neighbors have a toddler and baby who run I'm not exaggerating all hours of the night up until 3 am and on weekends all day long! I made complaints for months and recorded the noise, the neighbors knew because she decided to approach us and management did nothing. Also, their kids threw water on our porch and left trash, toys, and clothes in our backyard apparently our yard became their second dumpster. Don't rent here if you ever expect management to fix reasonable complaints. Pros Maintenance would always come within the next day of the form submitted. I'm not a resident but I've tried previous times to get in contact with someone about leasing with them.. I feel extremely bad for ANY residents that lease with them. After a few visits with a friend who had recently moved there, I've witnessed a lot of VERY VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL situations with the office & management. I'm not sure how the City of Colton, the County of San Bernardino, or THE HOUSING AUTHORITIES are even allowing them to do business (at least under this particular management). I'm reporting them to BBB & seeking legal aid for uninhabitable living. I encourage anyone who lives or have lived there to do the same. Do your research! & take the reviews seriously! Ok. First of all when I moved in my rent was 998.00 this is an income based apt complex. I moved in December 27th of 2021 my rent was raised in May of 2022 to 1,100 not even 5 months from when I moved in. My rent went up and there was no income change to the household. They raised my rent again 7 months later in December to 1165.00 no change in my income. My rent went up again in July to 1281.00 I was given three more hours on my pay. So the .30 percent margin for low income is not being met. I am not going to have a place pretty soon because they are pushing me out. The lease states they can raise my rent every 12 months. Now they are charging 15 dollars a month for insurance for the Apt. Never notified me, so months of 15.00 adds up. I was slapped a Pay Now letter on my door. This place has a pool issue. I went swimming the other day and the water felt dirty even though it appeared clean. 2 days later a notification that the city closed the 4 pools due to hazardous bacteria. It's summertime pools are closed less rent. No they don't look at it that way. My air conditioner has not worked since day one, nor my heat. My air unit looks to be from the 80's., my neighbors looks like an up to date unit. I have had the maintenance come and service the unit. I said it's still not working. He tells me it's working it's not a big enough unit for my apartment? When I did run the AC a long time ago my bill was over 400 bucks...So people that Clive here make sure you check the portal for the nova Pointe. Lots of mistakes. read more

Everything said on here is true, there is always electricity issues the power gets shut off randomly, in august there was no power for nearly 72 hours and they did nothing for any residents living there. The water issues are ridiculous, there is either only hot boiling water or cold water never a happy medium, sometimes the water from the shower comes out brown! The office people suck, they are horrible beyond horrible and useless. The place is infested in roaches I tried getting the unit im in fumigated and they for sure forgot to schedule me and made it seem like they couldn't get into my apartment because they didn't have a key and they originally said that no one could be on the premises. I missed a day of work and had to empty all the cabinets to get ready for the fumigation that didn't happen and that took hours. I've been living here for over 2 years now and I am looking to leave because this place is a nightmare. It's really gross living here. Please reconsider living here. There's always piping issues don't ever drink the water here in this area every time they work on pipes they never tell you and you go to take a shower and then out of nowhere dirty ass filthy water comes out and now you're stuck with no shower because now you got to wait almost an hour for the water to get clear there's so many ghetto people here filthy filthy filthy people I wouldn't swim in the Jacuzzi or swimming pool if I were you they need to replace those washers the part where you put your detergent and it's just piled up with thick ass old soap also so crusty it's disgusting and filthy and the trash area there so much trash it's ridiculous. There are so many kids here it's crazy so if your kids are bored this is a great place for them to run around if you're those kind of parents that don't give a rat's ass where your kids are cuz there's a million of them and their parents are not present they're just running around through the entire apartment complex and they throw trash everywhere. Lots of drama over here especially with drugs and domestic violence and crazy parents but I'm sure that's everywhere you have a good side and you have a bad side I probably ended up renting on the wrong side of the apartments where it's ghetto people. It's not a safe area there's a lot of drugs and auto theft breaking and entering into vehicles don't park your vehicle in the street if you have an extra car always keep your kid close-by it is a gated place but the gates never close anyone and everyone walks in and out of this apartment complex it's so bad here that when I order pizza the delivery man told me once it turns night time they will not deliver pizza to my apartment I have to meet outside of the apartment gate for safety purposes because their last delivery guy got robbed . They get you really good by giving you a virtual tour of a beautiful model home making you think that is the home you're going to move into. if anything make sure to pack up Roach Killer and bug killer there's a lot of cockroaches. So if you're those people that are in desperate need of an apartment and can't get into anything this is the perfect place for you. Beggars can't be choosers but I've learned my lesson I'm going to go back to renting a room in a nice fancy home with my own restroom because I know I'll be better taken care of. read more

Me and my wife helped my friend move in here on 8/12/22 I parked at about 6:30 pm and i was here until 12:30 am 8/13/22 and when I tried to leave my car was towed. I parked in a very open area with plenty of parking around me. Only reason I actually parked in the complex is because I was moving. Be very careful when moving in here or having guests over. The towing is predatory. People will block the roads constantly, but the tow company targets newer vehicles. And the front office expects everyone(including guests) to have a parking pass. read more

Since moving in this past August, I have experienced more unprofessionalism than I can even comprehend. Today, I was called stating that a package was left for me at the office. When I arrived to get it there was another guy waiting outside the door. So I walked up and knocked lightly at first. When no one responded, I knocked harder. In the past, someone usually comes to the door to let you know they heard you and will assist soon. However, today this did not happen so I continued to knock louder and call. When the lady (with red hair, I didn't get her name but she stated she was the apartment manager). She began to yell about "banging on her door". At which point I became frustrated and started to yell and give attitude back. She directed me and the other guy to the back door but however, continue to talk crazy despite both of us attempting to be calm. I asked for the management company's and owners contact to which she replied "the owner doesn't talk to residents"...in a very snobbish and condescending  manner.   I am writing this review because this is not the first such experience I have had with this and other employees. Communication is poor and communication skills are lacking to say the least. There is nothing professional about how these apartments are run. A few months back I went on an internet dive to try and find the property owner or management company but was getting conflicting information. However, today I'm going to send emails to any company that comes up as connected to Nova Pointe. Some other issues include: the access are open and have not been repaired in the 5 months I've been here, the access gate to the mailboxes which also provides handicap access to the mailboxes was just repaired after 5 months. This was only done after I sent an email a few days ago. "Trash will remain on sidewalks and in grass areas for weeks at a time but the area in front of the office is always get immaculate to give the impression that these apartments are being properly maintained. I haven't gone in months bc the conditions as disgusting but no one should be forced to wash clothes in the deplorable laundry room. And I have sent multiple emails that have not been responded to. You can never get through on the phone and voicemails take forever to be returned. But back to the apartment manager's attitude: disgusting and horrible. She makes it hard to stay level headed. But she needs to understand that respect and communication is a two way street and the owner and/or property managers need to step in and provide some professional development or an actual professional for the position. read more
