They did not respond via email until Sept 28th. I was told they had limited times and days. So after conversing back and forth via email she provided a date and in which I responded would work. On the same day I confirmed with her and she never responded back. I sent an email confirming the appointment was still taking place on the morning of my appointment. In an abundance of caution I went up there the day of my appointment just in case and no one was there. I'm assuming because they have already been paid for the service that they feel they don't need to be professional which is really unfortunate. So beware if you buy a gift certificate for someone for this business.

She is the only practitioner that I recommend without hesitation to anyone who asks. If you are shopping around for a massage therapist, this is what you need to know about Chieko: - She keeps abreast of new research and techniques in the field and is a perpetual learner. - She is honest. Chieko will tell you if she is unsure how to best work on an area, and will never proceed if she does not trust her skill. This happens rarely, but I am impressed and respectful of her when it does. - Thorough does not do her justice. She once worked on me for 1 hour 40 minutes when I had only booked a 1 hour appointment then asked me to return later that week for a complimentary 30 minute follow up because she was not satisfied with her ability to work out my issues in the time she had available that day. - Chieko reads people well. She can tell when I do not want to talk during a massage, and she respects that. If you want to talk, she is happy to engage. - Chieko reads the human body well. I am regularly impressed with her ability to locate the exact areas that need work based on minimal direction from me. She is a truly skilled and knowledgable practitioner. - Chieko is responsive to feedback during the massage. Anytime I find the pressure to be too light, or too firm, she is able to adapt immediately. I am a former Ironman triathlete, a current trail runner and cross country coach. I have gone to Chieko for work on the following areas/injuries: - piriformis - peroneal tendonitis - patellar tendonitis - patellar femoral syndrome - infraspinatus pain - IT Band - hamstring injury - calf strain - Post race recovery massage - General relaxation, upper back, neck and shoulders I cannot recommend Chieko highly enough.
