Swigzz looked charming and normal outside but inside was bright, clean and lively. Well lit and after waiting for someone to place my game on a screen, I ordered a blue moon, because they didn't carry draft beer or Shocktop.... Something I pray they will correct going forward. The waitress returned to tell me they were out of blue moon and I had to settle for coors light instead, my universal go to. Moving ahead, around the 4th quarter internet connectivity became an issue and I missed the first half of the fourth quarter, waiting for the steelers to come back against the streaking Chicago Bears. That's when a nice waitress brought over her ipad and allowed me to finish the game. We lost anyway. No allow me to back up for a second. With all the ups and downs of my initial visit to Swigzz, something special happened as I watched the first half of the pittsburgh game. I ordered they are nachos with beef and a side of guacamole. I give the Beef nachos a A -, because the cheese was not my favorite. It could just be me. Nevertheless, I finished my plate, nachos and scraped all the cheese and tidbits off of my plate. That's when the waitress reminded me that I had not had my guacamole because they were making it fresh in the back. She agreed to bring me a plate of chips to go with the guac. Thinking this was gonna be a bummer and I was really focused on the game. 10-15 minutes after finishing my nachos , the guacamole arrived with the extra chips. I over eat at times and thought about passing on this trailing item. Since I had paid for it, I decided to take a chip and dip it in the guacamole. What I experienced next was one of the most awesome culinary orgasmic moments I've had in my five decades if life. The absolute perfect blend of avocado, lime and whatever else they use....exploded throughout my palette and sent shock waves through my soul. When I decided to write this , I did not know if I wanted to start with the guacamole or end with the connectivity issues and the amount of Pittsburgh Steeler plays I missed. However this guacamole experience overshadowed everything that I experienced during my first visit to Swiggz, and yes, I plan to return really soon. And while I did not listen to the bartender the first time. I will be getting a large order during my next visit. Stop by and check them out.

There was plenty of free parking available and no cover fee. I was the last one to arrive at the table (only about 5 minutes late). When I sat down, there was already a drink tower on the table along with cups and water. Our server was quick to put in drink and food orders, but not as attentive. I ordered a sprite and she brought a can that was dented without noticing, so it had to be exchanged to avoid an explosion upon opening it. The food was just okay. I liked their cheese sticks, but the house salad with salmon was lacking flavor. No one at the table seemed to love their food. A few ordered pasta, wings and differing apps. Overall, we enjoyed the music selection that the djay played and the vibes were good. They required a large deposit for reservations, but it seemed like there were plenty of empty seats available and ease to walk in and sit either at the bar or at a table without one. I am not sure if I'd return any time soon, but it was not a bad experience.

The flier for the Friday night party said it's R&B, Hip Hop and Afrobeats. There wasn't a single R&B or Afrobeats song played. It was all drill music or City Girls/Sexy Red type of rap. The only change we got was the three 90s pop and rock songs the DJ played as punishment for people not getting up to dance. He actually threatened to play country music but ended up playing the three songs by Aerosmith, Backstreet Boys and N'Sync. Our server was nice but kept forgetting to bring the water I requested. Also, pay attention to your bar bills. I went to the bar to get two drinks and I didn't notice they automatically add gratuity to the bar bills. Not knowing this, I added a $6 tip (more than the gratuity added) so essentially I gave an $11 tip for two $12 drinks. That's a third drink! And there's a fee for not using cash...in 2023! I don't think I'll be back but from now on, I'll definitely pay more attention to the bills.

The DJ had great music playing and everyone was enjoying themselves. But what really impressed me was the food. Each dish I tried there was delicious! Absolutely incredible and well plated! Also, there is plenty of parking for free at the lounge.

I'd been meaning to check out The Brownstone for a while and finally got a chance this past Friday…read more I got there around 8 p.m. and there were a good amount of people there already and a few reserved tables but I was still able to find a seat. There were a few signs up about a $10 entertainment fee but I don't know if that was being enforced that night. No one stopped me on the way in or said anything once I sat down. One major surprise was the cigar smoking inside. I didn't know they allowed that and I avoid cigar lounges already because I hate the smell. You leave smelling like every kind of smoke and my eyes started to burn after a while. My server, Felicia, was super sweet. I loved her personality and that can be hard to come by these days. I ordered an apple Crown and cranberry juice to start. They use the small cups and don't fill them up all the way so that was a little disappointing. For food, I ordered the burger and fries. The fries were well-seasoned. The burger, however, lacked flavor, it was extremely over cooked which made it dry and while the burger itself was semi-warm, the bun was cold so not a great temperature for a burger. I ate half of it and just finished the fries. The Friday night singer and band were really entertaining. They covered a lot of 90s r&b and classics and the lead singer interacted with the crows several times. I could've done without the R. Kelly songs at the end but I digress lol. Overall, it's a really cool and laid back place if you don't mind the cigar smoke.

A lot of cigar smoke in the air but that's to be expected, it's a cigar bar. Big parking, big establishment and a very grown mature vibe there. I like a strong Long Island ice tea and they deliver. Y'all come and these folks out. We out here mane.

She didn't even greet us and just pointed around saying we can sit anywhere. That's after being ignored by her upon entering. The place was empty, and I see why. Anyway, the food was pretty good. The calamari was great. The chicken and waffles were good also, though I like a little more seasoning on my chicken, and the daiquiri wasn't watered down. The peach cobbler was less than stellar. Our server was decent. Still, upon leaving another customer who had just arrived was complaining about feeling unwelcome. So it wasn't just us. Off that, I can't see myself returning.

I ordered the jolly rancher daiquiri and I loved it. I could barely taste the alcohol and I was able to get 2. I didn't want to return home drunk but it barely affected me. I think it was 95% daiquiri 5% alcohol Now don't think that this is a light weight place cause it's not. They have strong drinks that will take you to the moon ... My suggestion is to go for the drinks and not the food. Our waitress was fab. She checked on us throughout the evening and the vibe was good but it's not a spot for a first date. Only cause they have music playing loudly. It's a chill spot for a night out with friends or family
