I desperately needed a good chiropractor when I threw my lower back out. When I asked friends for referrals Dr. Alex Green was one of the recommendations. I am so glad I went to see him, he's a miracle worker. I felt some immediate relief after the first session and by the third visit in one week, I was back to about 80%. I've never really been one to write reviews for anything at all, whether goods or services. However, making an exception in this case! My wife has been a regular patient of Dr. Green's since late spring 2017. She has been getting chiropractic care for years and swears by it - she had seen several chiropractors in our area since we moved here but was not impressed by any of them until she visited Dr. Green's practice. He has helped her with several chronic issues. For my part, I viewed chiropractic care with skepticism, although I had several nagging chronic pain issues in my lower back and shoulders. My wife finally convinced me to see Dr. Green, and after my first visit, I'm not sure why I was skeptical - or why I waited so long. Dr. Green is an absolute wizard and I always come out of the office feeling better than when I went in. He also takes the time to provide targeted recommendations (very rare in the medical community to get such fantastic personalized care) for therapy/rehabilitation exercises which has really helped me get through what I thought would be permanent injuries. I feel better now than I did 20 years ago! And, we gladly drive the 30-45 minutes (depending on traffic) to get care at Dr. Green's practice, passing numerous other chiropractic clinics on the way there. Dr. Alex Green is an amazing chiropractor! I was his patient in Missouri, and made the extra effort to see him in VA; he is that good. I have an extra bone in my lower back that has caused me issues for numerous years. Dr. Green was the first doctor to target the muscles that were causing me the recurrent pain instead of just finding a temporary solution through bone adjustments. I had always been a very healthy, active person until I started getting muscle spasms and intense pain in my lower back. I tried everything, including massages, MRIs, 2 rounds of physical therapy, accupuncture, sonograms, and even seeing an allergist, before I finally found relief with Dr. Green. After suffering year of constant pain, Dr. Green was able to look at my MRI results and, within 5 minutes, develop a theory about a bulging disc that was not immediately obvious in the image. He began treatment right away (decompression and inflammation reduction therapies), and instructed me on exactly what types of movements to avoid while my spine was healing, and which would be helpful. Not only did my pain IMMEDIATELY start to get better, but I was actually able to finally exercise without pain for the first time in over a year. Within a few weeks, my pain was virtually undetectable. Even once my problem was considered "fixed," Dr. Green consistently took the time to check in with me, keeping in close contact about how I was doing, if I had any pain, etc. When I developed a few other random, unrelated aches and pains, he was right there to offer advice and help. His diagnoses and suggestions were always dead-on, and every time I sought his help my pain went away quickly and easily. I have never had a doctor that I trusted so completely, or one that made me such a priority.
