Dr. Pauley is the best chiropractor I have been treated by (I went to several over the years). He doesn't just focus on adjustments, but your body as a whole, with a lot of emphasis on mobility and exercise. Earlier this year I hurt my back so bad that I collapsed from the pain. It hurt to walk, stand and sit. After a painful weekend I went to a chiropractor. They gave me the wrong diagnosis and recommended several visits a week for 5 months, at ridiculous prices, even though their adjustments barely worked. After two visits I just quit and went looking for another chiropractor. That's when I discovered Prestige Chiropractic and started feeling better by the second session. The difference was like night and day! Dr. Pauley is also the most honest chiropractor, and it shows. He doesn't recommend useless treatments and an excessive number of visits just to get your money. He gets straight to the point, and focuses on the issue you're dealing with. He treats the root cause of your pain, not just the symptoms. I've had 3 back surgeries and spinal fusion due to scoliosis, so I was initially a bit terrified of chiropractors. But one day after a heavy lift at crossfit, I asked Dr. Pauley - who crossfits with me - for stretching ideas, and he convinced me to come in for a consultation. I'm really glad I did. He had me bring in my latest ex-rays, went over my medical history and back surgeries and explained in (laymen) detail his suggestions for adjustments to not only help with the temporary issues from lifting, but also a more sustained adjustment regimen for a more preventative maintenance approach, all tailored around my spinal fusion and my comfort level. Two years later, I have a standing monthly appointment with Dr. Pauley, I'm constantly learning new traction/tack&floss/stretching techniques from him (aka he stays current in his trade), and when I do need to adjust my appointment, he's always amenable, responds quickly. I have been seeing Dr. Pauley for over 6 months. I am a 43yo athletic male who leads an active lifestyle. Mostly, I go in for monthly "tune ups", but I also have tweaked items and been able to get treatment to relieve pain. I have had routine (not chronic) lower back issues for 15-20 years. I went to see Dr. Pauley for upper back pain. During the first evaluation he identified a more serious issue with my hips and shoulders. Dr Pauley put me on a detailed stretching and exercise routine. Each time I went in I was given more stretches to add to the mix. In about six weeks my back pain was gone, I could turn my head without impingement and I had most of the flexibility I had 30 years ago. Am I back in perfect form? Not yet, but I am well on my way. I was recommended to Dr. Pauley after I blew my knee out in an accident. He helped me diagnose what the cause of my discomfort and lack of movement was, then he proceeded to do couple of things. A. I have been to many chiropractors over the last 20 years and I typically expect them to do basic assessment, X-rays, and of course an adjustment. I am now on my 6th visit and Dr Pauley has taken me by surprise. He spends time in each session talking to me about what we are focusing on today, what we will add during the next visit, and reviewing the work I can do at home to reduce my need for his services long term. Did you get that? A Chiropractor that is not trying to trap you into coming 2,3,4 times a week. Every other chiropractor I have ever seen spends time talking to me about long term needs and trying to get me back the next day. Dr Pauley sends me videos to help me do work at home that replicate the work he does in the office. He is clearly more interested in the quality of the care he provides and the outcome for me then he is worried about maximizing his potential profits with me. I have never been to a chiropractor with more knowledge and power to solve your pain anywhere. My last chiropractor saw me 2 to 3 times a week for over a year. After 4 visits with Dr. Pauley, my pain is non-existent and my mobility has increased significantly. He is more of a chiropractor/physical therapist/personal trainer. His sessions are long and thorough and provides you with the tools you need to be able to continue your progress at home. I sprained my arm while rollerskating and I called him to see if I should cancel my appointment and go have an x-ray. He had me come to see him and he knew more about my pain and how to heal my sprain faster than any medical doctor I have met. He cares so much about fixing the problem, informing you why the problem exists, and teaches you how to prevent the pain from coming back. I was very nervous about seeing a chiropractor, but decided I needed to go when the pain in my shoulder and neck were too much to handle and I refused to take pain medication. After one session with Dr. Pauley I felt relief in my neck that I had not felt in years. I was also able to lift things with my right hand without feeling pain in my shoulder.
