Going into the project, we knew that we wanted to hire a design/build firm to avoid the back and forth we know can come from hiring separate designers and builders. When we found SF Design Build, we knew that we had made the right choice. Rudy and Jessica are such a great team - seamless communication, no-drama, very accessible, professional, and wonderful design and craftsmanship. As a designer, Jessica came up with very creative solutions to maximize our space, and is a total design pro - she anticipated design challenges before they arose. Rudy led a construction team who were friendly, dependable, and talented - important qualities when they are at your house everyday for months. I would hire SF Design Build again in a heartbeat.

We were introduced to Everson by a mutual friend, and we were immediately struck by his knowledge, humility, and warmth. From the beginning, Everson's responsiveness, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail stood out, and made him a great person to collaborate with. Before construction began, he provided critical insights into the impact of design decisions on construction timelines and overall budget, and his transparency and expertise helped us enter the construction phase well-prepared and set up for success.  Their commitment to transparency and true collaboration with the homeowner is notable, and made them stand out from other contractors that we considered for the project. We never felt pressured from their team to make a specific decision based on cost or timing, and instead found that they were trustworthy partners that would help us evaluate the options and make the decision most suited to our preferences and family. Everson's calm, level-headed demeanor was invaluable when inevitable unpleasant surprises arose (hello termite damage!), and his steadiness made tackling those challenges feel like a team sport instead of an individual battle. In addition to providing excellent project management throughout the project, my husband and I were particularly impressed by the high quality of the work that the Perez team completed. Everything from framing and drywall to tiling and fixture installation was completed with immense attention to the smallest of details and an eye towards perfection. Their network of subcontractors is excellent and we found everyone that they partnered with to bring the same level of professionalism, attention to detail, and high build quality that we came to realize was the norm for Perez Construction. The result of the high bar that they hold themselves to is a beautiful finish that can be enjoyed for years to come. We could not be more pleased with our decision to hire Perez Construction for our renovation, and recommend them highly. We would hire them again in a heartbeat and are grateful everyday that we get to enjoy the high quality of their work!

Additionally, they integrated different technologies into their workflow to facilitate project management, such as using BuilderTrend for daily logging, payment tracking, messaging, etc. We are delighted with the overall results. Our newly renovated unit is exactly how we imagined it, and we moved in immediately once construction completed. We look forward to working with them in the future to renovate our other unit, and would recommend Perez Construction to anyone wishing to renovate their home. A complete gut remodel interior & exterior started in November 2024. The quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the project were exceptional--especially their tile & slab work, which really stood out. The finished spaces reflect the level of precision and care expected from a top-tier contractor. Like most large, complex renovations, this project came with its share of challenges and unforeseen structural discoveries. Kasas worked collaboratively to problem-solve and adapt as the project evolved, often stepping in to help fill the gap where our original architect was no longer involved. Their team maintained professionalism and a strong commitment to achieving a beautiful end result. As a client with a high attention to detail and a strong opinion in design, I appreciated how the team welcomed my input and worked with their subcontractors to realize the vision. They coordinated well with local inspectors to meet all regulations while still honoring the aesthetic direction I provided. While the overall timeline extended beyond the initial plan, the outcome demonstrates quality workmanship. Budget adjustments were consistent with what's typical for projects of this scale and complexity. In the end, Kasas Builders delivered a stunning, high-quality renovation. We interviewed a few companies, but everything changed when we met Yuvi from Masterful Construction. From the very first meeting, Yuvi stood out. He was the only one who truly saw the potential in our home and came up with a creative solution to redesign the layout instead of just adding another room. His vision completely transformed how we saw the project. What impressed us even more was that, for a lower cost than what other companies quoted for just a room addition, we ended up getting a full house renovation including re-piping, electrical upgrades, and everything brand new. The quality of work, attention to detail, and the way the team handled every part of the project was absolutely top-notch. We couldn't be happier with the results and the entire experience. Professional, respectful, and highly communicative, he was always there whenever we needed him, by text, phone, or in person, if we needed reassurance, advice or progress reports he always seemed to be right on the ball. It's hard to communicate just how important this is to keep the blood pressure down while undertaking something as life altering as a major home renovation, but we always felt Fahan had it under control. Our project was completed on schedule, 7 months to do a new kitchen, master bath, staircase installation, family room and deck, plus electrical and lots of small detail work around the house. Seven months is really something considering how easily big renovations like ours can go off the rails. Horror stories abound, and we, quite literally, had none. What a huge relief. In terms of costs, Fahan was transparent and upfront with us. They estimated and invoiced all expected and unexpected costs up front, and clearly stated any potential overruns. There were some, but none that we felt were from left field, and for each one we were given options to keep in line with what we were comfortable with. We understood and signed off on everything before anything moved forward, with a comforting degree of transparency. The only downside we could see was that the pricing tended to be high. It's not entirely clear however if this was due to the current economic conditions of '22-'23 or if it's just what quality work and workmanship costs. But as they say, you get what you pay for. Overall, we felt well-taken care of throughout the process, like there was an insider who knew the business, the pitfalls and the tricks. "I trust them", were words we uttered more than once. Most of the time we weren't even at the house, only catching up on the progress on weekends, but we always knew that the work would get done and with little to no issues along the way. THe house turned out amazing. We really couldn't be happier with the work they did. Fahan's just a quality outfit, contractors and subs, that you should trust with your house too. We hired Fahan for a number of projects at our home in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco: building a new deck, extending power and plumbing to the back yard, replacing our leaky roof, providing access to the new deck from our bedroom and a number of other misc projects inside our home. All of these projects were completed on time and with superb quality. John was incredibly friendly, professional and responsive throughout the whole process. He was extremely thorough: from working with the architect to co-ordinating with all the inspectors, to introducing us to all the members on his team and what we could expect from them on a regular basis. He managed the whole project effectively by providing us with timely quotes, invoices and being diligent about addressing any follow up questions we had. If there were any unforeseen issues with the weather or supply chain issues, John kept us informed and worked around each of these issues while keeping the project on time. Every single day, his team would show up on time and work diligently while keeping us posted if they needed anything. When we wanted something updated or changed, they obliged us immediately. What was particularly impressive is that they pulled off a number of different projects working across 3-4 different groups of people! I will definitely miss them around our home.
