Holistic Health Counseling is a unique, exciting innovation in health and nutrition. As a Holistic Health Counselor, I have studied all the major dietary theories and will help you discover what approach works best for you at this point in your life.
While most dietitians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions and lists of good and bad foods. I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline. Escape the routine...create your own unique approach to wellness.
No one diet works for everyone. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals.
History
Established in 2000.
Challenges with my weight began in puberty and continued throughout my twenties diminishing as I learned to be more self aware through yoga and meditation. Inspired by my own revelations and acknowledging my desire to lead others towards balance and spiritual awakening; I became a Registered Yoga Instructor.
I earned my certification in Reflexology in Atlanta at The Heal Center. Never have I glimpsed the human body's systems working in unison as with this modality. Because all seven internal systems are manipulated as well as 27,000 nerve endings, even a visit to your primary care physician isn't this comprehensive.
My Health Counseling training was obtained at Columbia University's Teachers College and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories--combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods.
