So happy to have found Sally at Body Flows! Have had many a massage over the years and experienced lots of different styles of massage, but Sallys style is most definitely up there with the best! I get a lot of neck and shoulder tension and Sally explained that to truly eliminate this tension, it needs to be tracked back to its source - in my case in the head and hands rather than just focusing on the point of pain. It worked and I left feeling lighter, 'looser' and far more relaxed! The experience was quite a revelation as well, allowing me to understand my body more and view things much more holistically. Sally is extremely knowledgeable and inspiring. I could chat to her for hours about life, natural health and nutrition! I had the pleasure of meeting Sally a few months ago. We connected immediately. She is so warm and open. Very easy to talk with. I first used her services when I was in extreme pain over ITB issues. I did a personal instruction session with her. It was amazing. She video taped me, talked with me, shared her story and most of all, allowed me to share mine. The pain subsided and a few months later I was dealing with hip tightness. This was probably due to getting use to a new style of running and also being right side dominate (in every aspect, including sleeping on one side). I then reached out to Sally for a sports massage. Sally's massage is amazing. I was having all sorts of neck and shoulder pains that were causing migraines and insomnia. She did a combination of relaxing and soothing massage and then she got in deep and did some pretty intense deep tissue work, acupressure and shiatsu. I had no idea what to expect but these techniques felt incredible. She is also very strong! The pressure was intense but good and it worked. She found areas of tension that I didn't know I even had! I slept better the night after that first massage than I'd slept in months, and I've been going back to Sally for regular massage every since. My migraines have reduced and I feel lighter all over. I really enjoyed my recent deep tissue sports massage from Sally! She was thoughtful in the time she spent on each part of my body and left my muscles feeling healthy and revived. I am a competitive long distance runner with a tight IT band that requires regular stretching and massage from time to time. I've had massage in the past after races and during injury but Sally is honestly the best massage therapist I've worked with. She uses the intense pressure that's necessary for an athlete to work through tightness. I could feel toxins released from my body during this massage. Sally's massages are great...She also helps provides tips to take home for practice, from her knowledge of yoga and other fitness related modalities. My back flared up during thanksgiving after a series of long distance travel...Not getting any relief from cold packs and painkillers, I went to Sally. She took the time to know my history with the back problem, and what I've tried to prevent it. The massage was the right pressure...with quick check-ins. I felt things loosening up immediately. And within the next 48hrs, I was pretty good as normal. She was very supportive in following up the next day and the next on how I was doing. I give Sally a big thumbs up ! As a professional triathlete, recovery is key to keeping my body in working order and being able to train. Sally's massage and sessions are instrumental in aiding this. Sally at Body Flows is a very talented massage therapist. She makes you feel super comfortable and she does this really interesting style of massage where she will even massage your stomach. I couldn't believe how much tension I was holding in my upper abdomen and she really got in there. It was tremendously therapeutic. I don't know any other massage therapists that do this. I've known a few other people who are holding tension in their tummies and I've recommended Sally to all of them! She uses only really high quality linens and oils from what I can tell. Sally is an amazing yoga teacher! I have had the pleasure of taking vinyasa classes and also Iron Yoga classes with Sally and am so impressed with her knowledge of yoga and ability to make me fall more in love with yoga in each of her classes!
