WOW! This place is a spa experience! Ashley takes her time with everything she offers. This is a private service, so you really feel the attention to detail. Zero Gravity Pedicure: She plays calming music throughout the service and the zero gravity chair is SO relaxing. I almost fell asleep in the chair because I was so relaxed. She puts a heated pad on your shoulders and heated towels on your lower legs during the service and I've never felt this calm! Manicure: I usually get acrylic nails, so my nails were very thin, peeling, and chipped. She shaped my nails and took her time and care when buffing them since they were already very thin and broken. She then applied a polish of the brand Dazzle Dry, which I'm familiar with because they use the same polish at Ojai Valley Inn. She did an amazing job, and my nails feel so much better already. I received the best mani/pedi from Ashley at Nourished Nails. I booked the 3 hour service and it was far beyond what I expected. This is not your strip mall mani/pedi. This is an elevated experience with attention to detail and high quality products. She has the most relaxing massage chair and a calm and welcoming space. Oh. My gosh. I am SO glad I found Ashley. Best manicure and pedicure EVER! It's like, Ahhhh, this is how a mani pedi should make you feel! I've been looking for a place to get my nails done where I didn't have to fear my cuticles being hacked to shreds or sharp tools being dug into the corners of my toenails and whatnot. I swear it's like some nail techs are going to battle with your fingers and toes and you leave feeling sore in spots. But not here!! My hands and feet look amazing and nicely pampered, my nails are painted to absolute perfection, and they were treated with care! Also I've never in my life heard of a zero-gravity massage chair but her chair is like the Cadillac of all massage chairs. I felt like I was floating in space and I woke up feeling almost buzzed, it was so relaxing. Most massage chairs I've experienced at nail salons are like punching you in the back and you have to fight back to stay in the seat. The absolute best. I actually met Ashley outside of her business and she mentioned that she is a manicurist. I thought, she seems nice, and I like to support local business, I'll see how she does. I am SO glad I did. My nails always looks AMAZING when I leave. Great colors, cool techniques, I even got color changing gel last time! And they LAST. I don't know if it's my nails, or what I'm doing, but usually my manicure doesn't last for more than a week. I consistently get two from Ashley. I know everything is CLEAN. Nail files don't get used over and over on every single person who walks through the door. I feel confident that tools are properly sterilized, and I'm not going to end up with some kind of nasty fungus that's going to eat away my nails. That little spot downtown has such a great ATMOSPHERE. It's very peaceful, nothing like the busy noisy salons you usually see around town. I was excited to come see Ashley in her own, new salon today. She's been my "every other week" nail gal for over a year and a half. I came to her when I began to have problem nails due to a side effect from a new medication I have to take. My nails became so weak on this medication, to the point of them breaking so low I would bleed. Ashley approached my problem nails in a consultative way, suggesting a game plan of how she could possibly help me with my problem nails. I first have to apologize for my very late review. Let's start with Ashley who is a very sweet, kind, friendly, helpful, and nurturing person. Her service is both professional and personal. She has created an environment that is catered to give you all her attention. This is a one on one experience. You won't have to share your time or space with anyone else but her. I came to know about her through my vacation Yelp research then followed on facebook. I was traveling to California for the first time for a Birthday celebration for myself and I wanted to be pampered. I found the right person and place. She was very accommodating and that zero gravity chair was Great. Her spot isn't in your normal nail strip mall which might be a surprise to some. It is in more of a business complex but once you walk in and into her spot you are immediately relax. She schedules your nail appointment to focus you and for you not to be rushed. I believed I was there for close to 2 hours. It was a WONDERFUL way to start my vacation in Ventura California. If you want to treat yourself for a "It's all about me" day this is a great place to start or end your day. Shut your phone off and block the time out .You'll be happy you did.
