They don't want to work. Went after work to enjoy a relaxing manicure and all the last did was complain about being there and how hard she works. She also bad mouthed another customer in there. No proper sanitation either. I got a reallly bad allergic reaction to whatever was used on my nails. Extremely overpriced. 80$ for acrylics. They charge $17 extra for short almond and a manicure- which was only her pushing back my cuticles. They aren't good a lot nails and it's more than obvious they are just doing it for the quick cash. She also rushed me out of there before my nails were dry and told me to be careful and not bump anything when I got in my car. read more

Nail Spa Forever is about 2 minutes from my house. However, I have been going to a person in Ventura for many years and felt loyalty to them. I wanted a last minute pedicure before Memorial Day Weekend so decided to check out Nail Spa Forever on Friday. They had a 4 pm available and I got right in and had a lovely pedicure from Beth. Needless to say, I won't be wasting gas money to go to Ventura any longer. Beth is gentle and thorough, salon is clean and modern and she was fun to chat with. I went into the salon to see if they could take my acrylic nails off professionally. I have thin nails to begin with and I didn't want to rip them off myself. There was no other customers in the salon but the nail lady was in such a rush! She did not soak me but instead quickly took my hand and ripped off my fake nails, taking my real nails with it. I was visibly in pain and upset when I told her I wanted it done professionally and that I could have ripped them off like that myself. Why would I go to a salon to have my real nails ruined like that. Very unhappy and can see this place doesn't care about the health of nails. Good thing she didn't make me pay. I was only in her chair for 2 mins and that's all it took to mess them up. read more

It's been less than a week that I went here with a friend for gel manicures and gel pedicures - services totaling over $200. Both hands and toe gel polish have chipped. Less than a week. The shop was empty which should have been a clue. They rushed through - the male didn't even finish my pedicure so the female had to do that. Very mediocre job. The lady was simultaneously nice and rude, if that makes any sense. I have a second star because at least the foot massage part is longer than 10 seconds. But the nails weren't properly cleaned or groomed and she didn't paint my entire nail bed. The sides of my toe nails have no polish! For a $30 pedicure, I would've expected so much more. The people that work here are just awful. They were so rude to everyone in the store and they were so rude to me that the girl sitting next to me asked me if I knew that woman that was rude to me and was working on my nails and I said I have never met her before. Wow! That was FUN! Stopped into this unassuming parlor for my first pedicure and it was a great experience. Lisa knows her way around a foot. She cut, scrubbed, rubbed, and nurtured my feet like they've never been before. She's one cute lady that Lisa, making kind conversation as she labored away. Beth worked on my buddy who was with me and she was cracking jokes and telling us stories of being in Vietnam for the Tsunami. We'll definitely be back. The shop is clean. The chairs are lovely, providing a nice massage (with several variables) that was in motion my entire visit. This place rocks! read more

If you're looking for a good nail place located in Ojai, this is definitely the place to go. I usually get acrylics from Beth who is usually there most of time and she does a great job as well as provide very friendly service and is very entertaining to chat with. She does a great job with keeping my nails really healthy and beautiful and that I leave satisfied which I greatly appreciate. I always feel really taken care of when I'm there. I would have given five stars however I think the only downfall is that it's a bit pricey and could go to another location for 3/the price. Other than that I have nothing to complain about. I suggest making an appointment before arriving they get quite busy at times. read more

The good: at the last minute, late on a Saturday afternoon(4:30PM) they scheduled us for 5:15 PM appointments one pedicure and one gel manicure. The salon was clean the massage chairs were nice and in good working order and the ladies working there were very friendly and professional. There were limited colors, but good quality polishes and I found what I wanted as did my daughter. When we arrived there was one person getting a Mani-Pedi and at least five others getting various other services(manicure acrylic's gel nails etc.) The Bad: it was a very.long.wait.-still I appreciated them making time for us to come in. There were only two manicurists working and a third girl who was assisting with various tasks. As I said I was very thankful that they took the time for us to come in and so I'm not complaining about the wait....my daughter got a manicure with gel polish. There was not room for her at the nail bar as there were so many people waiting for their manicures acrylics etc. so she sat in a pedicure chair. The light that is used for a gel manicure was placed on her lap(which I wasn't super keen on) The gel manicure was twice the price of a regular manicure and gel polish is supposed to last and be nearly impossible to remove(The last time my daughter had gel polish she tried to remove it herself unsuccessfully and we had to go to a salon and pay them to remove it) so I was pretty surprised when two days after her manicure not only was the gel polish chipping but she was able to peel all of it off so that the nails had absolutely no polish left on them. I'm not sure if something was wrong with the polish or if some part of the process was missed but I was pretty disappointed to have paid so much and had it last such a short time. We may go back to this salon as it is one of the few places local and the only place that seems to be open past 5 PM but we will not be getting gel polish again (here)for sure. read more

This is THE best place to get your nails done IF you can afford the FULL treatment. The massage whirlpool chairs ALL work very well. Every other place in Ojai has broken massagers or bucketed in still water or both. They massage your feet and calves. The do a professional job while chit chatting with friendly clients. Beth can paint anything you want beautifully on any size nail. I got a Rams helmet once. I walk in most times and don't mind waiting as long as necessary for great looking and feeling feet. (but don't let that be a deterrent, I was a walk-in) Anyway, this place was very clean, I watched the dude clean all his tools and stuff, the staff was friendly, and they had a great polish selection. They had mostly new OPI and Essie, which are my favorite brands. When I went in my nails were super grown out and 2 were broken. Johnny had them fixed, filled, filed, and painted in no more than 20 minutes. It was not sloppy and didn't look or feel rushed at all. When a business owner glares at me as soon as I walk in the door, I chalk it up to someone having a bad day. Same when they ignore all my attempts to chat (even though I know her daughter's academic goals) during the pedicure. Must be a bad day. But when I get a half set of gel nails because I only want them on one hand and she overcharges me then doesn't help me slide my sandals on after the pedicure (yep - smudged one nail doing it alone), I want to tell my experience to others. Only giving this place 2 stars because my nails look so good. I arrived 10 minutes early for a 10:30 appointment and was seated immediately. The guy working there put on my acrylics and then told me to sit in a different seat so that another woman could paint them. I waited while she finished another woman's manicure and then a lady walked in and asked to have her eyebrows waxed. I waited an additional 30 minutes because instead of finishing my nails, she took another customer. I spent 2 hours there. Everywhere else I have ever gone has taken 45 minutes or less for a full acrylic set. Very disappointed in the service, but satisfied with the results. read more

I was the 2nd person there (got there just before 10) and they said it would be a 30 minute wait. I needed a pedicure and manicure and they weren't going to be able to do them at the same time.
