I absolutely loved what she did then so, when I returned over this Fourth of July week Denise was able to book me for a cut, color and brow shaping. She usually books up 2 to 3 weeks in advance but because of the holiday, and the shift in scheduling, she was able to fit me in. So grateful! Denise is gifted and can look at a person and tell them exactly what's needed to make them look their best. I decided to trust her because my hair had grown really long and she knew I wanted to keep the length. She did some beautiful framing around the face and used product that gave my hair a really high shine. I couldn't be happier. She also taught me how to blow dry properly and how to use teasing and a roller to give my hair some volume because it's very thin. She also had time to shape my brows properly. Not only that she's a great person to have "girl talk" with! I highly recommend her and the staff at Glo West. You Ojai locals are so lucky to have her. Update 7/6/2018: A reviewer below insinuated that I was solicited to write a positive review. This is not true. Businesses ask clients to "yelp" them all the time. My experience at Glo West was positive in 2016 and again on my return visit this past week. I took the time to write the review because I was very happy with how my hair and brows turned out. Kudos to Denise, who used to manage the coifs of the Hollywood set, and knows how to make a person look their best.

Zero Gravity Pedicure: She plays calming music throughout the service and the zero gravity chair is SO relaxing. I almost fell asleep in the chair because I was so relaxed. She puts a heated pad on your shoulders and heated towels on your lower legs during the service and I've never felt this calm! Manicure: I usually get acrylic nails, so my nails were very thin, peeling, and chipped. She shaped my nails and took her time and care when buffing them since they were already very thin and broken. She then applied a polish of the brand Dazzle Dry, which I'm familiar with because they use the same polish at Ojai Valley Inn. She did an amazing job, and my nails feel so much better already. I truly can't recommend Ashley enough. If you're looking for a relaxing spa experience, look no further!

After that, we headed over to the spa and spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool. The vibe was so calm, mostly women just chatting, unwinding, and enjoying each other in this peaceful little paradise. We ordered smoothies poolside and omg...so fresh and refreshing. Service at the spa pool was great, everyone seemed to be working together seamlessly and checking in often without being overbearing. Definitely one of those spots I'd come back to anytime I need a reset from LA.

The gym and most guided classes are included in your treatment fee, as well as access to the rest of the spa amenities (saunas, pools, etc). We arrived an hour and a half before our treatment because we saw that there was a Yoga Sculpt class scheduled for the morning. It was a beautiful outdoor environment under a small pavilion near one of the pools. It was very thoughtfully set up with all of the necessary equipment for each guest (yoga mat, weights, blanket, and a water). The instructor was very friendly, and it felt like the perfect warm up for our massages! From there, we checked in and were given local kombucha as a welcome on the way to our lockers. Most of the amenities are in the gendered areas including locker rooms with showers, a relaxation fireplace room with tea, indoor sauna, steam room, hot tub, and outdoor infrared sauna. I heard the men's side has a cold plunge, but I did not see one on the women's side. Upstairs is the shared waiting room for men and women. We were told to head up there prior to our massages, where we could have a snack and enjoy cucumber water and lavender lemonade. My massage was wonderful and relaxing. I think each treatment room has a fireplace so it was very cozy. Afterwards, I was given dandelion tea and a gluten free lemon cookie in the waiting room. We then checked out the Spa Cafe, and took a nap by the pool. They have sunscreen for you to use out there too. I really loved my visit to Spa Ojai. It's definitely a place to go for a special occasion, but worth a visit every now and then with some girlfriends!

Pictures and reading reviews can be helpful, but you never know. Well, I hadn't had a haircut in 2 months; I was past due! I called Hair-Em. My call was answered by Deanna and I made an appointment. Deanna took time to listen and understand how I wanted my hair cut. I wasn't sure how short I wanted my hair so she progressed a bit at a time, checking with me to see what I thought. Nicole is such a pro who very obviously loves her job and to make sure you end up with exactly what you envisioned - in fact I couldn't have imagined my hair looking this great, so she exceeded my expectations. (Now I won't have to think about letting my hair go gray for a long time!) Nicole pampered me and ended up spending way more time with me than was originally scheduled, which I appreciated.
