We just changed insurance so I needed to find a new dentist. Nourian Dental was in network and close by, so I decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did! The amount of dental knowledge I received from Dr. Nourian herself was more than I had received from all the dentists I have been to combined in the previous 20 years! First, let me say this office is nestled in a quiet, secluded office park. Parking is ample and it's easy to find the office. The lobby has an upscale yet comfortable decor complete with a coffee bar. Everyone whom I encountered at this office was exceedingly polite. The receptionist, dental assistant, hygienist and Dr. Nourian herself were all so genuinely nice. It's so refreshing to see a team where everyone appears to love what they do and I truly felt like I was treated like a person and not a cog in a machine. Attention like this is so rare! Since this was my first visit, x-rays were done. I was having some bleeding of the gums, so pictures of my teeth were also taken and Dr. Nourian went though both the X-rays and the pics of my teeth to assess what's happening in my mouth. It was so helpful to have her point out things such as where I had grinding my teeth and had been brushing improperly. She told me how to adjust how I hold my toothbrush to get to the gum line and other measures to more effectively care for my teeth. After the consultation with Dr. Nourian, Veronica did my cleaning. She was wonderful- so gentle and also gave me great instructions on brushing and flossing. She went above and beyond with her attention to detail. She even applied some Vaseline to my lips prior to the cleaning to make sure they didn't dry out. Overall, this was the best experience at a dentist I've ever had. I really appreciate the stellar service and the extensive knowledge that was shared with me. I think Dr. Nourian and her team really care about providing excellent care as well as extending guidance to avoid dental work down the road. The staff are the BEST, so sweet and attentive! I took my daughter here for her first dentist appointment and they were amazing! They were zippy and know just what to look for instantly. We were all squeaky clean! I might even start coming here too! It's harder than he'll to find though, lol... it's not right off the road and the sign is kind of hard to see, especially when it's in the middle of the road curving AND trees from the Mesozoic era growing in front of it...ha ha ha ha ha! Finding a new dentist is tricky business. After my last dentist retired, I had the unenviable task of finding a new one. Dr. Nourian is a professional who brings the warmth of her personality to the chair. Her staff from the front desk to the hygienist are all smiles (pun intended). They are about to move to a larger, newer space in the same office park this summer and might add Friday and Saturday hours if they hire a 2nd dentist. Good with the latest technology like digital xrays, fancy patient profiles on the PC and emailed reminders, she does put my old dentist's office to shame a bit. Great Staff an service. Dr Nourian is the best dentist I have been to. She is very compassionate and honest and only does what needs to be done. I had a previous dentist tell me I needed a root canal when i first came and she was able to drill and fill the cavity and save me from an unnecessary root canal procedure. I have several small spots on the Xray which she has been treating with fluoride and routine cleanings which she never had to drill /fill etc( many others would have). I've been seeing Dr. Nourian for more than 15 years. She is the absolute best dentist you will ever visit. I have experienced only minor billing issues over the years that have been promptly addressed and resolved. I didn't think I could ever say a nicer thing about Dr. Nourian but she constantly updates her skills as well as technology and dental equipment. She is the consummate professional and does spectacular work, spending extra time when needed to complete the task at hand. She is a perfectionist when it comes to her work. I have been exceptionally satisfied with every single aspect of her work. I have referred at least 10 people to her office, with each of them becoming as exceptionally happy with her work as I am. As someone who absolutely loathes looking for a new Dentist, I was not excited to look for a new one with my new insurance. Dr. Nourian's office is extremely professional and responsive. Very easy to communicate via email with the admin, Ladan. Dr. Nourian herself is the most personable dentist I have ever met and explained everything very clearly. I have reported the three five-star reviews on here that are obviously posted by someone at Nourian Dental. This place is very dishonest. When I went there for a routine cleaning, the hygienist told me that I needed a "deep cleaning" and that a normal cleaning wouldn't help me. I told her I was unemployed and didn't think I needed it. Well, she dragged in two other employees to convince me. When I asked for a normal cleaning, she told me she would not give me one because "it wouldn't help me at all." Finally, I conceded. They gave me a remaining balance after my dental insurance, which they told me I'd need to pay at least part of that day. Red flag #1, I learned later from my insurance company. They're not supposed to charge you anything without filing a claim first. Well, they charged me and saved my card info and charged me the rest a month later. A few months later they call and say my insurance won't cover the procedure. They've tried twice to submit and tell me I'll have to call my insurance to convince them. I told the person what transpired during my visit. She told me it didn't matter; I'd have to pay by the end of the year the FULL amount of this dumb procedure if I couldn't contact my insurance. Note--my insurance covers two routine cleanings yearly. It is good insurance. I contacted the insurance company. The rep told me first of all, they weren't supposed to charge you any money that first day because there was no valid claim filed yet. Second, they submitted the claim; however, they did not send x-rays as evidence of periodontal disease, which is what you need to have in order to get this procedure done. I don't think they took x-rays while I was there. When the insurance company told them that the first time, they re-submitted the exact same documents as they had the first time-no xray or other evidence I had the disease (which I don't). Their billing people are rude and dishonest. I still don't know the status as they never responded to my email giving them information they needed.. It has been a couple months now and I have yet to hear any news. They still have not refunded me my money, either, which I asked them to do. I would not recommend this place. And don't be fooled by the 5-star reviews all written by someone in their office, as evidenced by the fact that most are posted the same day and use the same dumb language like "Dr. Nourian is a caring, compassionate doctor..."--what a load of BS! read more

The worst dentist I have dared to try. I have just one tooth that has had work when I was younger, crowned. Dr Nourian recommended that it was time to be replaced although it had no issues, Dr Nourian had used her fancy machine to create the tooth that did not fit, not only did the crown not fit correctly it led to an unbalanced jaw and led to lock jaw. Dr Nourian billed my insurance for all three attempts to correct her negligent work, in which, I went to a Dr Liy that was able to correct on a first try and was far less expensive than each of the three visits to Dr Nourian. I was advised Dr Nourian should not have billed my insurance for her inadequate attempt at corrcting her inadequate performance. On one of those visits Dr Nourian had me wait past 30 minutes of an appointment time to only watch her expedite another a Dr ahead of my appointment as he walked in and was immediately seen ahead of my appointment. If you like bad/negligent work for the highest premium, maybe this is the right dentist for you. read more
