Misrepresentation of clothing cost to catch a customers eye and draw them in. I disturbed the large man's lunch behind the counter by asking a question regarding availability of a size. I rudely got my answer. As i put my items on the counter to check out, the price was much more than advertised. Decals cost more evidently and each letter appears to be a new decal! I don't understand how this establishment is still in operation with terrible reviews all over the internet. The lady got an attitude when I looked confused because her math wasn't mathing. She explained that there were added fees, but on the hangers and doors it clearly says $5.99. The cashier had an attitude before I even laid my clothing on the counter. Not only can you not buy even just a plain hoodie for less than 9.99 you can not beat 9$ for decal of your choice on the shirt of your choice. I don't care GREAT DEAL AND STEAL. I was down at Rehobeth for vacation and for three days my son was looking for the perfect sweatshirt he wanted to get! We picked out a plain black extra-large that ended up being $17 with the decal! We went ahead and got it anyway and we picked out a plain black extra-large and the decals. Apparently while me and my mom were looking around the store they told my son that the one XL they packed had a hole in the pocket. OK good business to notice that and try to get a different sweatshirt. Apparently instead of speaking up and telling us they couldn't find any more XL they ended up doing the decal anyway on a large sweatshirt! Now we are back home and my son is completely upset and frustrated. When he's not happy, I'm not happy! You never ever change the size on customers that are trying to purchase something for vacation memories! I actually will be back down within the next week and will be stopping in your store! Went in after window shopping at the 29 identical stores but this had the "best" advertised prices at "nothing over $5.99" and wanting to purchase simple gifts for my friends and family, I thought "WOW this place is great to get all the gifts knocked out at once for a killer deal." I was searching for an XL and was approached by a man who asked me "what are you looking for?" Not "may I help you find the correct size?" I replied "just looking for an XL." The man waved his hands in a sort of crude X shape and simply said "nah we ain't got it. Then accused me of damaging the shirts for leaning into the rack to search the back for larger sizes and said "no one gonna buy if they are damaged" So I said excuse me I'm just looking for a size! What are you saying I'm damaging things for?? and walked away from him. 30 seconds later, looking at a different rack, I was approached by a woman and she asked "what you need?" Once more I said "I'm just trying to find an XL, could you possibly point me to the correct rack?" And was told "what's out is what's out" Unsure if that meant "what we have on the racks is what we have for inventory" or "what is out of stock is out of stock." So i just left. Okay, went back 2 days later, still trying to find decently priced shirts. I went in, FOUND AN XL then brought my 5 shirts to the front and my total was $85. When I inquired with the cashier she said it's $11 for prints ON TOP of the $5.99. I bought nothing and once again walked out. I have been visiting Rehoboth for over 40 years, and I have never been treated so rudely and disrespectfully as I was at this store, in Rehoboth or elsewhere. No sooner than I had stepped into this establishment that a man yelled, "CAN I HELP YOU?" Given the tone and sheer volume of his voice, it was more a demand than a genuine offer of help. Nonetheless, I did answer, "No, I'm okay" as I walked past him to look at some T-shirts. "ANSWER ME. I'M TALKING TO YOU!" he barked. I was taken by surprise, not knowing why he was being so hostile, so I responded, "I said, 'No thanks.'" But he said, "No, you didn't." Trying to be helpful, I said, "Well you just didn't hear me," all the while thinking, I don't have to explain myself. "No, you were mumbling, you knucklehead!" he said. "I didn't mumble, and if you didn't hear me, you're deaf!" I retorted. "You need to speak like everyone else!" he demanded. I thought, Was he profiling me? Singling me out from the moment I entered, then commenting on how I talked. "Who's 'everyone else'?" I looked around, but the stored had emptied. The eight or nine patrons who were in there previously were probably put off by this man's hostility. "Did you ask the others the way you asked me?" "Get out of my store!" [I found out later that he wasn't actually the owner.] "No, you have no right to throw me out! I'll do whatever I want" I tried to mind my own business but he got up, and started to trail me. "You're an idiot! Get out of here!" "No you're an idiot, " I said as I exited, but circled back to tell him that he has no right to treat people like he did. He simply called me knucklehead again, and I had some choice words, and that was that. It's likely that he had profiled me from the beginning, so when he felt I didn't 'clearly' answer him, that confirmed his appraisal of my otherness, giving him just cause--in his eyes--to accost me and treat me rudely. Indeed, it was actually more than just rudeness and disrespect; it was harassment--even before he told me to get out. It's worth noting that even if I had completely ignored him when he yelled "Can I help you?" (again, more of a "What are you doing here?" than an offer of assistance), he'd have had no right to yell at me and rebuke me. It's fairly standard for customers to simply ignore salespeople and other customers as they shop. This man was simply rude, disrespectful and possibly prejudiced. Later that day, I spoke to sales associate at a nearby store who said this man had recently thrown out a lady for trying to return a defective item, yelling at her as she left. So apparently, I was not the first person who had been abused and harassed by this shopkeeper. Some people will say, 'What do you expect from an 'Under $5' shop?' First of all, no one should be treated so rudely and disrespectfully, and harassed and intimidated, at any establishment. Secondly, there are many, many variety shops in Rehoboth which offer inexpensive items--where you won't be mistreated, where you can just browse and enjoy yourself. Great deals and good service go hand-in-hand...just NOT at 'Nothing Over $5'. read more

As all other reviews have mentioned, this is blatant false advertising. Nothing here is under $5. You have to pay additional for any images on shirts, whether you choose to get an image or not. And even when a specific price is stated on a sign, they will tell you it costs even more because of things like "zippers". The quality of the shirts is also quite poor. This place is not good. My daughter got a green sweatshirt that turned her skin green, I mean a lot of her skin. Plus the name is misleading cause they charge you for sweatshirt and decal.
