I ordered a birthday cake for my mother for delivery. Delivery was supposed to occur at 2:00 p.m. on her birthday. I paid online, including the delivery charge. Instead of the cake, I got a call at 4:00 p.m. saying that the cake wasn't going to be delivered and that the store was closed. The employee offered delivery the next morning but that would have been after her birthday so I declined. No one at the store would deliver even though my mother's home was just a couple of miles away. (I couldn't get it because I live out of town and the cake was meant to be a surprise gift). The employee also said that no one could deliver a cake except the delivery driver (that seemed like a line of bull). She blamed the failure on the delivery driver which meant that the employees let the cake sit around for two hours knowing that it wasn't going to be delivered. The employee said that she would have her manager call me the next day but that never happened. The cancelled the order and gave me a refund as if that was providing good service. My impression was that the employees just didn't give a damn. read more
