Everything was sparkling clean and the young lady on duty was on the phone, obviously talking to a customer, but acknowledged me immediately. When she finished with her customer she formally greeted me with a very pleasant tone and delightful smile - very sweet young woman. All of the cupcakes had simple but lovely decoration. I told her what I needed and she quickly gathered up 18 cupcakes, 3 each of 6 differently flavors. There were 3 or 4 others flavors available that I didn't choose. Since it was close to lunch time I ordered a panini which she quickly put together. I was in and out pretty quickly and very pleased with the shopping experience. The cupcakes were for an early evening adult women's get-together. Everyone remarked how petty they were and seemed to enjoy the cupcakes. Almost everyone asked where I got them. I picked a cupcake with a little orange jelly on top of butter cream that was coated with what I think was crystallized sugar. The cupcake itself was great -very moist - but to my taste, the crystallized sugar was too much on top of the butter cream. I founded it too crunchy and too sweet. I just scraped off as much of the sugar as I could and it was fine - the butter cream was yummy. I will use CC's again.

It was very sweet and clearly the baker who made it was very skilled. I would not even call it cake though... it wasn't moist, chewy or chocolate-y. It had a light, sweet, melt-on-the-tongue crispy airiness. I'll have to try something different the next time I'm in - and I'll be sure to ask the staff for recommendations, so I'm not taken unawares again.
