I am from Los Angeles, and was referred by a few friends when I visit my family in MIchigan to go…read moreto Huber and Breese Music store. So Yes Big Time - they knew what they were talking about. I walked in, and it was like Willie Wonka - but guitars and other instruments Blew my Mind - I would not even call this store of purchase a store - I would call it a museum, they had all and everything. Also the most impressive thing was - I would through a lil pop quiz questions to the employees about something and - got all correct with more info than asked. Also the cool thing - was almost as if it was like a secret underground place - when you walk in - you have some guy refurbishing up a classic guiter who looks like he played for the stones. Mad cool place - mad to place to buy from, and also mad cool museum. A must go just to walk around and get a vibe

Searched up places that does guitar maintenance and found this gem of a store! Went in explained what I needed, and the crew immediately got to work to bring my dusty Esteban back to life, an employee by the name of Cole who was working on restoring my guitar was very friendly and informational, explaining each step of the process and educating me as well. Great great great!!! Service from all the members I came in contact with, and will be looking forward to shopping with them in the future! I was very impressed, and satisfied with the service they offer!

What a great day we spent at Huber Breese. Over 2 hours testing electric guitars until he finally found his new love!

Classy, classy, classy!…read more When their school did not offer *exactly* what I sought, Mr. Henry Bahrou recommended...a competitor. Five stars for professionalism!

Terrible customer service experience, would not recommend this school to anyone…read more I scheduled a free, 30-minute introductory flute lesson with Chloe on their websites calendar as instructed by their team. I got a call several days later canceling because Chloe would be out of town. That shows incredible mismanagement, but is not a dealbreaker. Things happen. I called them back. The receptionist mediated a rescheduling with Chloe for several days into the future, and I was very excited to finally get a flute lesson in, as I am paying for a rental flute under the impression that I'd be able to go to Grosse Pointe Music Academy. 90 minutes before my lesson, which I structured part of my day around, Chloe cancels. Two cancellations before even the first lesson tells me there is no reason to proceed with GPMS, especially with Chloe, who clearly cannot maintain a schedule in a professional and reliable manner. Add to that their website has outdated information, and the person who responded to my initial web inquiries who said they'd find me a teacher originally never got back to me (I had to email them back after a week-plus of silence), and I think you get the picture. Stay away. Can't believe I'm going to say it, but I think I'll go with a corporate option. I've done Guitar Center before. Maybe I'll have to switch instruments and send my flute back, which stinks, but I just want to play jazz. If you ever had the sense that people are not reliable anymore, really avoid this school, because it will just confirm that belief and make you a little more frustrated with what society has become.

Knowedgable instrumental people and good place for learners and experts alike…read more Smart and real music people

To do a full rebuild on my tenor he wanted $1k, with $500 up front for supplies (pads, resos,…read moreetc.). After he strung me along for ten months I finally picked the horn up in pieces, the only thing he'd done was straighten the body tube and yank out all of the pads from the keys. He refused to refund any of the deposit, even though he hadn't even ordered any of the pads - claimed to have done half the work. He had previously quoted $140 to straighten the tube, which would require him to refit all of the keys and give it back assembled and in working order. My new tech (who didn't ask for an up front deposit) needed to do a bunch of key fitting before he could put it back together, the thing was a mess. Half the work done, my ass. Eventually he offered to give me $200 back but it's been weeks and he's just making excuses. Yeah, I know that I should have pulled the plug months sooner before he'd done anything at all to it, but I'd always liked the guy and didn't think that he'd backstab someone who'd always been a good customer and had recommended him so glowingly to everyone who asked. I wonder who else he's ripped off; I doubt I'm the only one, and the place looks like he's having serious cash flow issues. Stay away.
