We were in town for the night on our way up to Door county and went for a walk in their really nice…read moredowntown area. It was late and most everything was closed, but this place looked so cool we came back the next morning. I am so glad we did, what an amazing place, to call it just a store is not giving it its proper due. This is the coolest collectable/toy store I have ever seen. It will be a regular stop when we are anywhere near here. It's part museum and part collector's wet dream. Rows and rows and pegs of figures of every era and genre. I could have spent a lot of money here, and to that the prices are pretty reasonable. If you know anyone who's into pop culture or toys or action figures...wanna be a hero, take them here. It's worth a road trip....trust me! Amazing store, nice people, a true treasure.

We decided to visit some Halloween attractions in the region so we spent a night in Sheboygan and…read morechecked out some of the more interesting stores, and even though we didn't make a purchase (this time) I haven't been in a collectible toy store with more selection maybe ever. Freaktoyz is an absolute gem in Sheboygan featuring near everything the average person could think of in the toy, collectible gaming, and retro-video game worlds. If you are looking for that elusive figure for He-man, TMNT, GI Joe, Pokemon, pick your winner, this could very well be your place. I could have wandered this store for hours and easily emptied my wallet. Worth the stop even just to experience the place, and they definitely have their merch game down. As far as prices go, you may want to shop around the web a little, but most seem to be right around average collectible prices and even if it is a dollar or two more you get to walk out with it in hand. Awesome store. Will return and send ALL my friends AND YOU!

Of course I recommend The Sewing Basket for all of your fabric needs! Located in the quaint…read moredowntown area of Plymouth Wisconsin, the Sewing Basket has a tremendous selection of fabric- roughly four-large-rooms combined. I am always drawn into fabric stores while on a quest to secure fabric for my supremely artistic twin sister. I am not a quilter/crafter/sewer by any means. My twin sister has not met a fabric store she hasn't fallen in love with. So, for her, I went to the shop with no intention of purchasing material. I sent her photos of material. Next thing you know....one hour later... three large bags of material and $200 later, I escaped. Needless to say, my twin was pleased. Her particular favorites included the fabric with sewing cats and the Wisconsin-outdoor-printed fabrics. The Sewing Basket seems to be a community favorite- a gathering spot and a place that offers classes. The owner was very friendly and accommodating.

I wasn't inspired by Stepping into Liquid as much as I was inspired by my surf buddy out here, who is originally from the Midwest. I had to do it, he said. Funny thing was, the day I did that, there was a shark attack on my home break near where he was surfing and I would have been out there in Morro Bay if not for my WI trip. Whew! So I guess there was a reason I went to Sheboygan, and there was a reason I went to EOS to rent a good board (not some foam piece of crap like you get at most rental shops on the coasts) that was epoxy and got the lowdown on the best spots from the nice woman at the counter holding the door past 7 p.m. on a Friday night for me. And while the surf was nowhere near movie quality, I did catch a couple ankle slappers the next morning and got the stoke from WI of all places. I followed that up with a Packers-Eagles game in Green Bay's Lambeau Field, and I have to say it was an unforgettable weekend. Long story short, I have to thank the crew at EOS for the freshwater stoke. Thanks again to everyone there. I crossed another goal off my list because of you guys. And, it's true, they do have barrels big enough to fit a VW. I have the t-shirts (if not the gopro photos) to prove it. Stoked! B

The repair did not work. Cans broke and I had a mess on my hands. Repairman showed up again and installed a defective part. He left me without a refrigerator over the Labor Day weekend, and it was not working for a total of 66 days! I again contacted Dan and he became irritated and stated that I am not to call him, and I am not allowed to come in the store! He added that he is done with me! I lost hundreds of dollars of food, but I guess Dan's problem was resolved. The unit remains problematic and has seen 10 service calls. Frigidaire was willing to replace the unit but Dan, emphatically stated "NO WAY". Now I know why their name is BITTER Neuman!
